Only get the base frame and lens
This has potential, but lacked in execution. The frame, handles, and lens are good. Everything else is a disappointment. 1. The 4 in 1 usb hub and cables don't charge anything. It's too weak. 2. The 4 in 1 usb hub doesn't attached well to the frame. The clip on it is too weak or designed poorly to attach to the frame. It's a bad design. 3. The wireless control loses charge very quickly. Also doesn't help that the usb hub doesn't charge it. 4. Power bank holder becomes loose often and will fall off. It was better for me to use velcro or elastic band to attach my batteries. 5. Phone clip lock button stopped working after 2 weeks of use.

Bravo....bravo👏👏👏
This is a perfect example of a company listening to their consumers, and giving free range to their collaborators. This cage and its accessories checks all the boxes for an amazing phone rig. Big ups to Brandon Li for this one. P.S. I also added the Smallrig S60 wireless mics for the extra sauce.

Not compatible with iPhone Pro Max
First issue: Despite what the SmallRig website says for this kit, an iPhone Pro Max will not work with this cage and its accessories. The phone is too large to properly seat to the MagSafe part of the cage without having the iPhone's lenses covered. You can manually slide the phone over so that the phone's lenses are not covered, but then you are using the cage's phone grip, not fully attached to the MagSafe part, which means you have to seat the phone each and every time you use the cage. SmallRig’s tech support admitted MagSafe will not work properly with the Pro Max and to manually slide the phone over instead. They really should disclose this. Second issue: If you go the route of using MagSafe and not the cage's lens cover, the connector cable is literally flush against the 4-part connector, preventing the phone from solidly sticking to the MagSafe part of the cage. The phone is simply too large, or this should be clearly labeled by Small Rig—which normally makes great products—as not compatible with Pro Max and similarly sized phones. The lenses are not flush with the cage’s lens cover. This is a basic, fatal flaw. Third issue: My Pro Max would not properly connect to two different SSD drives installed into the grip. A regular portable SSD SanDisk hard drive connects to my phone with no issues, but the M.2 drives inserted into the grip show a live connection (blue light), but the phone did not recognize either drive. This makes the SSD grip worthless, in my experience. Fourth issue: Upon connecting to the handle with the shutter button and zoom function via Bluetooth, only the shutter button worked after following all instructions in the included manual. The zoom toggle would not control the zoom function on the phone's camera app. Instead, it moved a small dot on the screen back and forth. This could be an issue with iOS 18.1, but it's clearly not been remedied by SmallRig. SmallRig tech support said they are testing this and will get back to me. Such testing should have been done prior to release. If you have a Pro Max, SmallRig’s other All-In-One Cage will work, but you will not get the same features as above; instead, you get a mic and light. That is workable for my purposes. I am returning the Brandon Li model and got this one instead: “SmallRig All-in-One Universal Quick Release Phone Video Rig Kit Pro, Phone Stabilizer Rig Kit with LED Light Microphone QR Tripod Dual Handles Power Bank Holder, for Vlogging & Live Streaming - 4704.” It works fine with minor adjustments, and I can use an external SSD instead. SmallRig’s soon-to-be released iPhone 16 Pro Max cage looks promising. I will also get that one for a lighter cage to carry around. Overall, this model has been a disappointing experience and appears to have been prematurely released and SmallRig should do the right thing and disclose this model does not adequately work with the Pro Max series.

Small rig video kit
I was extremely excited to receive this product as the reviews were exceptional, and I wanted an all in one cage that was portable together with the total flexibility that small rig normally provides. I read reviews and watched videos which identified this unit could be used 100% with a 16 Pro Max iPhone.. This is definitely not the case. The equipment is extremely well-made and aesthetically pleasing. I love the ability to have the M2 Samsung 998 1tb card located in the handle especially for Apple pro res raw video. After placing the iPhone into the MagSafe adapter in the center of the rig there was no way to adjust the camera housing to cover the cluster. There are lots of adjustment screws, which I assumed would be easy to adapt the fit but unfortunately, the only way to hold the unit in place is to slide it forward and rely that the rig clamp will hold it securely. I gave it a medium size shake, and my iPhone fell out immediately. I’ve been a supporter of small rig for numerous years and I’m sure that they will provide an adapter to facilitate the new iPhone range. There also was two items missing from the package, the hub and the tripod adapter. I’m still giving this item a rating of 3 stars as it is superbly built, however, if you have an iPhone 16 Pro Max, it will not work currently. Small rig please develop an adapter to make this universal cage perfect.

It's great tool
It works great but works better if you have a Samsung or an apple device. I use my pixel 7 Pro and works fine but I do get some light leaks behind the filter. I'm thinking some sort black cloth or gaffer's tap might seal it up nicely. It seems to be made well. The handle with battery lid comes sometimes when I use it so I have to be careful. I'm not using the battery or battery holder only because I'm not doing filming sessions where I need the extra stuff. I like the design and it's easy to setup and use. I'm having trouble if I like more than my other one from another company. It's slightly smaller but comes with less options.

Ok, i want to start this review by saying that i had my junky way of had achieved the same kit with exactly the same functions for roughly the same price and it was a bit more comfortable. The issue here is that this kit doesnt really work well with an iPhone PRO MAX. the camera does NOT align to the camera holes if aligned to the MAGSAFE. Is this a flaw? Is this meant to work only with PRO models? everything else is a bit weird. Not sure its worth it to be fair. You can achieve better results with a frankestein solution. I will keep it for now but will give a better review on my first shoot. So far, nothing special at all. (IT COMES WITH A CASE!)

Ame el producto, es un poco caro pero es muy bueno y si te vas a dedicar al film making te lo recomiendo totalmente. Yo compré varios accesorios de la misma marca para realizar mis cortometrajes. Adjunto fotografías.
