I really like automatic watches but I can also recognize that quartz systems have a lot of value. It is just that you cannot use the same scale to measure them. Bearing that in mind, I believe this is a very good product.I have had it for one and a half years and I can say it is a very accurate watch (as expected from a quartz piece) and so far, a very reliable one. In general terms, I try to be careful with my watches, but I cannot avoid occasional accidents. In that regard, my watch has resisted everything well. The mineral crystal has absolutely no scratches. Overall, this watch is well built. It is definitely not a watch that can resist a beating without blinking but it is by no means a fragile product.Now the DESIGN (coupled with its price) is what really makes this watch a truly great alternative. In terms of beauty, elegance and harmony it is truly difficult to surpass (at least in its segment). It is absolutely Scandinavian (simple, elegant) but with a very well thought touch of discrete shine that adds to its beauty. This is the kind of watch that you can use both on business and country club environments and that will never scream but will always draw attention.The case is VERY comfortable as it measures 40 mm and has a somewhat conic shape that gets smaller as it approaches the wrist. As a result, it obviously looks like a 40 mm watch (a size that would be comfortable per se) but it feels a bit smaller in the wrist, making it even more comfortable to use. The dial is absolutely beautiful (and unique). According to the pictures shown in Amazon the dial color is kind of charcoal. But in reality it is less dark than that and the remarkable sunburst effect reflects the light in tones that resemble bronze. An absolutely elegant, beautiful result. Likewise, there is a subtle contrast in textures that contributes greatly to make me conclude that elegance and simplicity are the name of the game here. That is, the day and date displays have a very delicate circular brushing while the dial itself (outside those displays) is brushed in straight lines from the center to the borders. And that makes the sunlight gets reflected in a slightly different manner in the displays. Absolutely nice! Likewise, in perfect harmony with the rest of the watch the shiny and VERY slim contours of the the hands, of the hour marks and of the date and day displays are bronze-copper color.Finally, the strap is supple, comfortable and good quality. Besides that, its color matches very well with the design of the case and the dial, highlighting the design qualities of the overall product.If you are looking for a quartz watch that you can use in different environments and fits well every single time, comfortable, with outstanding elegant and simple design and that never goes unnoticed because of its elegance, buy it. Even more if you consider the price tag. A deal hard to defeat.

I think this watch looks great. The band can sometimes misalign a tiny bit and it won't latch properly, but that's simple enough to fix and you might not notice depending on how you put the watch on. The most noticeable detractor from making this my favorite watch is that it's pretty lightweight. Whether you think that's a good thing or a bad thing is up to you, though-- I could see people wanting a light watch.

I just recieved this watch and am quite happy. It almost exactly matches the posted picture, but I added my own anyway.The band feels really nice and appears to be high quality. It is soft but thick enough that I don't think it should have too many issues with durability, but time will tell. It is very comfortable! I like that the holes for adjusting the clasp are pretty close together, it was easy to find a perfect fit.The face has a very elegant look to it with the slate grey metallic composition, but it's still casual enough for everyday wear. A perfect balance between classy and utilitarian if you ask me.Luckily my watch was set to the correct day, but it would take a while to get to the right day if it wasn't, as you have to cycle through 24 hrs on the same setting you would use to set time. Otherwise, pull the knob halfway out to set date, all the way out to set time.

I like the Watch it looks great. Does not look cheap but feels very light. The first on I got did not work. The chronograph was faulty. The replacement works good. The hue or lol of the finish is not as great looking in person but still very attractive. The bad is very long and it cannot be shortened. It can be adjusted to fit though. I wish it came in a nicer box. Overall the packaging is cheap white cardboard. Even then I would recommend this watch.

I decided to wait at least a week before reviewing so I could test the time keeping ability (I don’t own an oscilloscope). Box is nice and I am very satisfied with the look of the watch, it’s growing on me. First thing I had to do was set the day/date and time, as I’ve never owned a mechanical watch like this I just had to figure it out. So in the end here’s my conclusion, first you need to get the day off the week set, then get the time set (pay attention to AM/PM when the date changes). Yes you will have to go all the way around day through day to get the day of the week set it’s a pain, but once you get it you’ll never have to mess with it again. After that you need to get the dial in the middle position, and set the date by turning the dial counter clockwise, then you’re set. It is not a perpetual clock so you’ll have to set the date for each month which isn’t a big deal because you don’t have to mess with your time.In my test the watch gained about a half second after 8 days which is fantastic, it will gain less than a minute in a year.

I have a Rolex, a Tag & an Omega. But I love the way Skagen makes such classy looking, light weight and inexpensive watches. Gives me options to wear and change up without dropping a few grand on a single timepiece. Keep it up Skagen, your style is amazing the value is world class. Love the look, size and feel of this watch on my wrist.

This watch looks great in the picture but even better in person. I am a big fan of Skagen watches due to their high quality for the low price. I have received numerous compliments on this particular watch. I wear this watch everyday at work. I bought this watch hoping it would match most of my business casual outfits and it does not disappoint. I would highly recommend.Quick tip: Setting the watch including the correct day of week took 15 minutes to learn as the directions did not help but I do not hold it against the watch. Just keep in mind that the day of the week is directly tied to the 24-hour clock (Position 3) so you need to turn the dial in Position 3 a full 24 hours to push the day of the week forward. Position 2 will move the day of the month very easily.
