Good replacement projector. Upgrade for sure
I bought this to replace my old Dell short throw projector and this one is way better. I like the google apps on it. It powers up faster and is quieter. The 4k is better as well. It’s an expensive investment but I am happy with it. I do have one small issue with the eARC between the stereo and projector though. Not sure if it is a stereo problem or a projector problem. The timing on the powerups for the two devices is off so the projector wont recognize the stereo unless it is powered on first. A future feature could include a way to set a delay on the eARC or something. Its al fairly minor issue though and likely just a problem with my setup.

It's a No Go for Hisense PX3-PRO Ultra Short Throw Projector
Thought this would be the best short throw projector since time immemorial, but unfortunately it was not! Used the projector for watching no more than 24 hours of movies since installing it in December (it is now January, a month or so later), and soon saw a 3-4" high discoloration across the bottom of the screen. The degree of discoloration depends on the colors of the picture, with lighter scenes showing more discoloration, almost like a rainbow effect. I am attaching 3 photos to display the lack of color quality at the bottom of the screen. This is very distracting and should not be happening with a brand new projector that costs thousands of dollars! Tried working with Hisense customer support, and the upshot was that they would only send a replacement projector that was refurbished, not a brand new replacement. We don't want a refurbished projector that may have other problems introduced when the machine was opened up for servicing--certainly not when we paid so much for this new supposedly highest quality short throw laser projector. After many communications with Hisense, we made the decision to return the projector because they would not send a new projector to replace this defective one. This projector is expensive, so we can only hope that Amazon will help us to ensure that we are fully refunded for the cost of this expensive but unfortunately poor quality projector.

Okay, not great in ambient lighting
In complete darkness, this is a pretty good laser projector. The problem is that the screen washes out easily with ambient light. It’s pretty heavy and large so plan on having a good solid base for it like a coffee table. I wouldn’t try putting this on one of those small projector stands, those are made for much smaller projectors than this. I won’t comment on the speaker. If you’re buying a projector like this, you’re planning on using a good audio system, at least a decent sound bar. The good: -incredibly short throw distance. I can’t believe how close this sits to the wall/screen! -large screen, up to 150”, which can make a fun theater-like experience. -it’s easy to set up, generally a good plug and play option. The bad: -it just isn’t bright enough to use in any light. In daytime, you would need your windows completely blacked out. If you’re using in a living room, you’d have to keep your lights off all the time. You could get away with a couple small light sources like a mini fridge and a computer monitor, but no room lights. -the color isn’t super accurate. The yellows and oranges specifically seem a little dull. I think the best use case for this projector would be a basement/den/man-cave where it’s always dark anyway.

Amazing Projector / Amazon Packaging terrible
So far, this is amazing. The color and brightness blow away my old projector. The only issue is the packaging from Amazon. They put the projector, which is roughly a 24-28" wide by around 18" tall, into a box that is 30" tall x 48" long, so it slid all around, and the ends of the box came in crushed. Luckily, HiSense packaged the projector to withstand the impact this packing gave it. Projector - 5 stars Amazon Packaging and care for a $3000 item - 0 stars

Grand Slam
Buy it - especially while the price is dropped. The image is insanely good, right out of the box, and even better with some tweaks - especially on the NothingProjector 110" ALR Black screen. My biggest challenge was finding a stand short enough to keep screen height in the sweetspot, and I did - buy the Lack tv stand from IKEA and don't use the legs. You will thank me for this tip.
