VIZIO 2.0 Soundbar with Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, Bluetooth - SV200M-0808 (New, 2024 Model)

BUYER BEWARE! While the item itself is working fine and looks good, it doesn’t come with a remote; volume up and down worked with the tv remote but that’s it; if you need to access any other functions, you must use an app called Vizio Mobile however said app DOES NOT work in Canada. I thought of giving my review one star, but I’m sure the soundbar could have been a great addition to our tv viewing experience. IMO, Amazon.ca should remove it from the site, or at least inform Canadian buyers of this issue.

First the bad news, and it's the SOLE negative I have so I gave the soundbar five ⭐️s regardless...unlike the case with every Amazon order I've placed since the internet became a thing, with this one I got ZERO notice of delivery. Not a text, not an email, no knock or doorbell ring...if I hadn't stepped out to bring in my flag, the soundbar likely would've sat on the porch overnight, instead of for just the SEVEN hours between 1pm and 8pm yesterday. No bueno. That said, FedEx delivered it FOUR days early, so there's that. I picked up this 2024 VIZIO 2.0 to replace an analog-connected VIZIO soundbar that gave up the ghost after an eighteen year lifespan. Installation was a breeze with VIZIO's QuickFit mounting thumbscrews [included] and the corresponding [even labeled] sockets to screw 'em into on the bottom of my VIZIO M55Q6-L4. Connected to the TV's HDMI eARC port with the HDMI cable provided and the matching port on the soundbar, connected the power cable and BOOM! What an upgrade from the TV's internal speakers, for less than dinner and drinks. Eliminated a remote since this device doesn't have one...runs off the TV remote since connected to that eARC port. In fact, I could run them both off the VIZIO app in my iPhone; they seamlessly paired with it. When things work exactly as advertised, for the right price, and the only help needed is a good neighbor's extra hands to remove/replace the 55" television from the mounting bracket in the armoire, that's called "a plan coming together." i recommend the VIZIO 2.0 Soundbar to any budget-wise shopper, especially if they already own a VIZIO QuickFit-ready set.

A couple of misses for me... the quick fit mount does not exist on my TV, bummer and the soundbar does not have fiber input. The ARC HDMI does work just a bit bulkier and harder to hide. Having said that, the sound is awesome compared to the Samsung previously used. These are not concert speakers so don't expect wall shaking bass but midrange are more than adequate. Definitely a big jump from standard TV speakers. Get it, get it now!

I have a Vizio Smart TV that is about 5 years old, using a FireTV stick with it. The speaker died on the tv and I decided to add a sound bar. I thought it would be easier to get a sound bar working if it was the same brand as the TV. I plugged the cable into the appropriate port on the tv (eARC or something I think) and followed the included instructions. It did “work” but sounded terrible. It lagged horribly, eventually not synching with the video. The volume control lagged, and had to be played at about 75% full volume. It sounded TERRIBLE. There was no where to adjust the settings on the sound bar. The VIZIO app did not connect to the sound bar. I spent hours trying to get this thing working. Followed instructions, and still it would not connect via Bluetooth. But I was getting sound so that was an improvement. It finally kept disconnecting from the tv and I gave up and started the return process. After a couple of days, before disconnecting and packaging the sound bar up for return, I decided to try the app one more time. Again following the instructions to the letter, and for some reason this time, the sound bar and app paired/connected. I was finally able to use an “equalizer” to adjust the sound bar. It sounds clear, adjusting the volume only lags for about a second, and I no longer have to adjust the volume past 50% to hear it clearly. The clarity is decent and music sounds good as well. The app is a must have to make this sound bar work properly and sound good. If you cannot get the app to work, this is a no go. It should connect via Bluetooth easier than it did. But if you can get it connected, it’s great. There isn’t much to really do with the app after you set it up, but you can adjust volume and equalizer settings from it if you choose. This would be a 5 star item if it worked with the app properly for me. Since I had such difficulty with the pairing of the app with the speaker, I docked a star. I have also cancelled my return for this item and will keep it.

Good product and easy to install. For the price it’s good.
