Liberty 4 Pro by Anker Noise Cancelling Wireless Earbuds | 7-Sensor and Real-Time Adaptive Noise Cancelling, 2× Faster Charging, Studio-Level Hi-Fi Music, Clear Calls with 6 Mics

The original Liberty 4s (not the NCs) were absolutely the most comfortable things ever in my ears but the sound was atrocious and the bells and whistles gimmicky . So much so I skipped the NCs as so many reviews said the sound was close to the same . No thank you. I'd pretty much given up on anything new from Anker until I saw these and looked up tons of reviews , many of which direct vs the Liberty 4 og . My real life experience is close to what I'd read . The dogs were 100 out of 100 for comfort and fit , these are 90ish but only because I have a weird sized left ear canal that even the XL in this isn't quite large enough . It stays ok but not super like the ogs do . The app compensates for the sound leakage (a VERY cool feature btw ) but it moves when I'm being very active and it feels like it's gonna fall out . Maybe it's the 3 firmware updates I got while setting things up but after 5 hours of listening the right bud had dropped from 80% to 10% and the left had dropped from 80% to 60% . A huge drop as well as imbalance of battery usage . ANC off , LDAC on . Maybe other features are using battery as well . The app is a hoot to use but honestly I still like the Tozo app better . Anker has done a huge improvement in ANC quality but I don't like the slide to decide which one to use . Transparency mode absolutely SUCKS . It might as well not even be on . I make up for it with easy speak though . That feature is great and I'm not having much trouble with false mutes except when I yawn . I was excited when I read the volume could be controlled by slide while the rest of the actions controlled by squeeze . I absolutely love the squeeze of the ogs but could see how volume sliding might be an improvement . I'll never know because the slide on these is so hit and miss , even after the last update that was supposed to address this , I changed the single squeeze from off to volume on both sides . I'll slide 1st and if it's being finicky just squeeze instead . I would like the volume of the cracking sound when squeezing to be adjustable like the ogs do . Now to the sound . I started with Anker with the Liberty 2 Pro+ and those things are THE benchmark for sound quality I use against everyone else , no matter the price . I'd read the og 4 was capable of close sound except for the low end bass . WRONG!! They sound horrible except for mid range bass is compressed and distorted , highs harsh and distorted . Now when I read the NCs were very similar in sound I went the way of Ear Fun instead , picking up a pair of Air Pro 4s . They sound amazing . Back to the Liberty 4 Pro . They are soooo close to the Liberty 2 Pro+ , meeting every aspect to a T except the mid bass . I can't quite get that "you're there in person " realism on orchestra music but they sound incredibly life like anyway . If sound quality is what you seek , these should impress . The super duper fast charge is a game changer and so is the touch bar on the front of the case . I'd probably use that more if they added more options to what I can do from the case . I didn't find the shininess of the cover to be a turn off but I got a glow in the dark silicone case anyway . I may just use the bottom and only use the top of the case gets scratched up or I get over being smitten by the see through cover . I haven't tried wireless charging off the case yet as it was full when I got it . The magnets holding the buds in the case are very strong , akin to the ogs superb hold . The range is back the usual Anker more than advertised distance on my Note10+ , something I'd gotten used to missing with my AirPro4 , which was a good 10-15 feet less and more susceptible to no line of sight breaking up and buffering . Time will tell who has better overall battery life . Anker missed a huge boat with their release of the Liberty 4 but they've more than made up for it finally with the 4 Pro .

I’m a big fan of Anker. I have two Bluetooth speakers, one for home, one for work. For earbuds, I started off with the p20i, then the p30i, and the p40i. I’ve been impressed with all, with the p30i being the best bang for buck. The Liberty Pro 4 is an elevated experience. Like the prior P models, There’s a test to determine the best sound for my individual ear and hearing. The sound of my house kept triggering the test so I had to go to my rock where it’s quiet. Setup took maybe 5 minutes. The ANC is very nice! Before going to the app, the seal felt nice vs the p40i. The size of the bud plus the base of the earphone just fit so snug to my ear canal. But when I activated ANC, I felt very isolated. I’m so happy with the result! Onto how it felt against the P models. The P30i was hard to beat, having good value and the amount of bass I wanted, while the p40i had a much brighter sound which was hard to EQ to keep ear fatigue away. The Liberty Pro 4 has a slightly dark feel, with the right amount of crispness to not fatigue my ears when listening for prolonged time. This gave me a very pleasant listening experience. Based on my hearing, and the sound test, my EQ was ironically a bass boosted curve. I made a custom EQ despite this because I usually adjust an equalizer with zero as the highest setting, lowering the middle and high end gradually, to prevent distorting my speakers. The EQ starts at 100hz, up to 12.8khz, with 8 bands. I would have liked a 60hz dial, but I guess these are buds and won’t reproduce the subsonic frequencies so well lol, but one can hope. What resulted was listening to bits of my modern R&B, hip hop, pop, K-pop, punk, reggae, ska, and metal playlists for the last hour just enjoying how excellently balanced these earbuds sound to my ears. From Bruno Mars’ Risk It All, to OutKast’s Atliens, Chadwick’s Pacific, Van Halen’s Unchained, etc, this is a superb earbud. I love it! The case is much different than the prior clamshell type the P series used. This has a sliding top, with indicators showing both sides at 100%. Nice QOL touches. After an hour of listening, I currently at 85% averaged on both sides. Not bad at all! On a side note, I charged it out of the box full after about 30 minutes. That’s a pretty good amount of time to charge to full. Overall, this earbud impresses me so much! Great sound for all the different music genres I listen to. It’s like shopping for car speakers. I wanted a good balance, warm, dark, with enough crispness to top it off without overwhelming my ears. I have this for my favorite earbud, with the Skullcandy Crusher as my over-ear bass machines. It’s great to be alive on a Saturday night listening to music!

Was looking to replace some old Beats Pro earbuds without the expense of AirPods Pro. Pros: Good bass, feature rich for the price, Noise Canceling effective, snug fit, good case, battery life ample. Cons: not as well constructed as AirPods, Noise Canceling not as good as AirPods Only had these a week but so far happy and intend to keep them. I listen mostly to EDM so wanted something with strong bass and did research for mid price buds with larger speakers. Really like the customization of the sound through the EQ and there is also an AI which plays you some sounds and you select which you prefer and it sets the EQ accordingly - bit of a gimmick but ended up close to how I setup EQ. Noise cancelling works but I find some sound sneaks in - not as good as Bose or Apple NC. Transparency mode works but the piped in sound from the external mics sounds at bit fake and robotic - but it works. The spatial depth of the sound is way better than my 10 year old Beats Pro buds these are replacing. My biggest gripe is that the earbuds feel flimsy compared to Apple or Bose products. Overall, these are cheaper than AirPods Pro so dont expect them to outperform those. But they are good value for money and give me the sound experience I was looking for.

My old wireless earbuds bit the dust, so I started shopping around and comparing and took a chance on the Liberty 4 Pro. I ordered them knowing that they would not sound as good as my wired balanced earbuds and was willing to live with that. I was wrong. Completely wrong. These not only sound as good as my wired, but much better. I haven't used the wired earbuds since I got the Liberty 4 Pro. The LDAC codec works great with my devices. The Soundcore app is amazing. You can customize everything about the earbuds except the color. On the app there is a Preference Test. This plays short samples of music where you can choose between A and B as to which sound you like best. It repeats this a number of times. At the end it figures out "your" best sound preference. I did this and haven't tinkered with the EQ once because the EQ it figured out for me was perfect. And, to my great pleasure, I found that this preference stays with the buds even if I'm using a different device with them. I can change this if I ever decide to, but it ain't broke so I'm not gonna fix it. I was actually taken aback by the Active Noise Cancellation. I was on a noisy bus when I first tried it out. When I put the buds in my ears and turned on the ANC I thought I had lost my hearing for a few seconds until I realized that it was the ANC kicking in. It was that effective. I could have heard a pin drop (except for the fact that the ANC would have probably cancelled out the sound of the pin dropping). It made quite a difference on my bus ride -- listening to only the pure sound of the music. Just to make sure I was still in the real world, I turned on the transparency mode and could hear every yapper and bouncy bus noise again (so I went back to ANC). Regarding the sound, the bass is strong and powerful, but not at the expense of the mids or highs. I get a solid base sound without feeling that my skull is being pummeled. The mids are very clear and the vocals come through strong. The highs are crisp and clear without harshness. Overall, a great sound. I've also been impressed with how the instruments are separated and I get a 3 dimensional sound to the music. Sometimes I feel like I could point to where the musicians were sitting in the room when they recorded it. Finally, they are the most comfortable earbuds I have ever tried. Normally I have to futz around with different tips or buy expensive tips from other companies to get the right fit. Then, I have to shove them half way up into my ear canal to get a decent seal (and even then I have to re-adjust frequently). Needless to say, it gets uncomfortable after about 20 minutes or so. With the Liberty 4 Pro, there are SIX sets of tips in the box from XXS to XL. After doing "Eeny, meeny, miny, moe", I chose the XL size. For me, this was a perfect fit. I gently placed the buds in my ear (not ear canal) and there was a perfect seal. Since these were resting in my ear and not shoved up into it, there was no discomfort of any kind. I can wear them for hours (and have) without any attention on them. I had thought this would never happen. Final finally, the customer service is also way beyond what I expected. I had a problem with getting the app to work on one of my devices, so I shot off a customer support request from their website. They answered back within 24 hours to tell me that there was a new update of the app that fixed this problem. I downloaded it and there is no problem. I had a query on something else and sent a request and was answered (with query resolved) again within 24 hours. Amazing. My recommendation is, click these into your cart and proceed to checkout.

Background: I’m in my mid-60’s and have been loving listening to music my whole life. I still use my Akai turntable from high school! My “main driver” speakers are Bose 901s. I have other NC headphones, Bose QuietComfort and Sony WH1000XM3. But sometimes I want earbuds. I have a pair of JBL Tune 125TWS earbuds, which are fine but not NC. I use Spotify, PowerAmp (Android), Plex/PlexAmp. I have digital music encoded from low-bitrate MP3 to FLAC and DSD. I had a vacation recently where I would be flying and beach/poolside and wanted a decent pair of ANC earbuds. I considered the Sony WF-1000XM5 based on my experience with the around-ear cans, but decided to do some research. The Soundcore Liberty 4 Pros had quite a bit of buzz, so I bought a pair via Amazon. The Good/Great: Great sound, period. Best earbuds I’ve ever used and definitely rival the around-ear headphones I’ve used. Full range, good bass, impressive volume. The ANC (active noise cancelling) is very effective. You have a 10-step control between “very transparent” = boosts the outside noise so you can keep the buds in your ear but hear MORE of what’s around you and “full ANC” which gives maximum noise cancelation. I had two cases of wanting the ANC active, two flights and one “poolside”. On the flights I activated the “flight mode” in the app. This pushes the ANC to the max AND uses a barometric sensor in the buds to compensate for changes in pressure in the plane. It’s hard to tell how well that works, but the sound was great throughout the flights. For “poolside”, I was at a resort that played music through pretty powerful speakers around their main pool. But when I was wearing the buds with ANC active, they did a good job blocking the speaker noise! Overall, I think ANC is a great feature, especially if you travel by air! It’s worth going with ANC headphones if you do! Calibration Feature: The app (highly recommend) lets you set a variety of sound “profiles”/equalizations. One option will step you through a hearing test. It takes about 10 minutes but is very much worth it. In my case, I know I have some high-frequency hearing loss in my left ear. The Soundcore hearing test detected this (so do a very expensive doctor…!) and built a custom equalization based on the findings. That profile REALLY improves the music playback! I can switch between the custom profile and a standard profile and really tell the difference. For me, that alone is worth the purchase! Also, during the sound / hearing test, the process will detect "sound leakage" due to the earbuds not sealing properly in your ear. This did happen to me but after some slight adjustments I got passed it. The point is that they take care to ensure the testing is very accurate and that you are getting a truly accurate profile generated. Comfort: Overall, the buds are very comfortable to wear. I had them in for most of two 3+ hour flights and had no discomfort. The buds stayed in without any problem. I was using the provided ear tips. Controls: I was skeptical at first, but the controls on these earbuds are great. It is subtle, but there is tactile feedback when “squeezing” the stems to pause/resume/skip, etc. I quickly learned how to precisely control the output. My Sony cans have “gesture” based controls which work, but sometimes are mis-interpreted. These Soundcore earbuds are give more control in a much smaller package. Case: The charging case is great but takes some time to get used to. The case charges quickly and gives good feedback about case charge level and/or earbud charge when they are in the case. Battery life is good. After each almost 4 hour flight the buds had about 64% charge remaining. And popping them into the case would have topped them off quite easily. The Not So Good: These are very minor issues I had only with my first period of usage. First, the size and shape of ear tips impact the use of the charging case. The provided tips work well, but I tried some other tips and they were too “big” and the case wouldn’t fully close with the buds inside. So if you use 3rd-party tips, note that you may have issues using the case and therefore charging. Another issue I had at first was that I was trying to put the buds in the case incorrectly and so they weren’t charging or connecting (eg: for a firmware updated). But I quickly realized the problem and learned the proper way to position the buds. Overall, I highly recommend these earbuds. The price is really great for what you get.

TL/DR: Satisfied with sound quality, ANC, customer service and earbud battery life. Disappointed with case battery life and the touch sensitive buttons on earbuds and the case. Extremely dissatisfied with overall product quality (broken after just over 40 days of ownership). Background: Before purchasing the 4 Pro, I owned the SoundCore Liberty 4NC for about three years before the battery in the right earbud died. So I was looking forward to the added features of the 4 Pro version. Disappointed: The case battery life seemed to require relatively more frequent charging than the 4NC. I used my earbuds an average of 1-3 hours a day for both the 4NC and the 4Pro. With the 4NC, I charged my case about every 2 weeks. But with the 4Pro I found myself needing to recharge the case at least 1x per week. Regarding the touch sensitivity. I suspect the touch button on the case may have contributed to the lower battery life. I suspect that every time I put my hand in my pocket, the touch controls were being activated causing the battery life to run down. The touch controls on the case are not necessary. Many other reviewers have covered the touch controls on the buds themselves. Satisfied: I will not get into the details of what I was satisfied with (except customer service) as many other reviewers have already covered those areas. Once my earbuds stopped working (read below), Soundcore customer support was quick to issue a replacement. Not happy that I needed a replacement so soon after purchasing, but happy that I did not have to go through a long back and forth with SoundCore. Just received confirmation that a replacement was being sent yesterday so still waiting for them. Extremely dissatisfied: After a little over 40 days of ownership, I woke up one morning and the earbuds were acting up. The left bud was not being recognized in the case but the right bud was recognized. However, when attempting to use the buds I could only get sound to play out of the left bud. I followed all cleaning instructions, but could not get the case to recognize that the left earbud was seated in the case. This is important because you cannot access the settings menu on the case or in the app unless the case recognizes both earbuds in the case. So you CANNOT access the option to reset the earbuds to factory settings to try to troubleshoot the issue. So I’m left with a useless pair of headphones that do not work. Final verdict: The fact that these did not even last two months has me extremely concerned about the overall longevity of these earbuds in general. I wish I just ordered another pair of 4NC’s or the 5’s. There are too many problems with the 4 Pro’s but Soundcore’s snappy customer service has me placated for now…that is until the replacements break also. Crossing my fingers for now that they last the test of time.

It’s no shocker that I absolutely love Anker and the SoundCore signature brand of TWS Bluetooth earbuds, for those who have actually been looking at my reviews, and you can clearly tell that I have owned just about every single Anker Soundcore P2 series, and what I still say is my favorite are the Soundcore life P3 series of wireless earbuds that are still amazing to this day! I had seen all the new and positive energy from my fellow influencers who were touting this as the “everything AirPods Pro 2, without sacrificing quality for less than half the cost of their competitors earbuds” and they've done a lot for me over this difficult journey and I am very grateful. Now remember, I don’t normally go bashing anyone if I end up with a defective or unreliable product. You have to realize that every single company makes mistakes in the manufacturing process and I am also confident that the majority of you will agree with me on that one. Now, for the rundown of, the Bluetooth connects effortlessly to either the iOS and Android OS platforms, they are available in three different color schemes, as you can see I'm reviewing the blue variant, first thing I noticed when I picked them up, I was a bit overwhelmed with the size of the case! The thing is enormous and will probably need to quit wearing the skinny jeans lol. On a serious note as someone who has small hands, as well as chronic ADHD-C, chronic debilitating anxiety, all forms of them to be exact and I have neurological, cognitive, cardiovascular and dexterity problems to name a very small amount of things that I struggle with on a daily basis, so I will say that the blue and black versions have an extremely shiny plastic top which is not only a fingerprint magnet but it has a small window near the front button that allows you to see the battery percentage of the buds and the case. The other color is a white color which isn’t as flashy but it’s Soundcore so it’s still going to catch some stares. The battery life is, in my honest experience with just about every other earbud they’ve made, it’s not even close to the claimed 10 hours of playtime, and I don’t use the ANC mode for anything, but I do test them, which they’re alright. I use the volume at around 20-45% volume max and I also keep the normal mode on, and I have possibly gotten the same times of my previous four iterations of this Bluetooth device range. I honestly believe that the Life P3 is still on of the best in terms of performance and longevity. There are practically no limits on how much you can customize as far as the buds, it allows you to use features such as Spatial Audio, personalized surround sound and the hearID fit test is pretty thorough and easily understands your hearing processing and customizes your own unique signature profile that you can add on any of the existing 20+ preset audio profiles that are made by professional artists, and the ability to create your own EQ and add it into your hearID or you can not have to use either! See, it ended up being a positive response that time. The best feature of all is the pinch controlled stems that are identical to the AirPods Pro! They’re very tactile, and the swipe gestures have finally been added to the Liberty 4 Pro models! I have both the liberty 3 pro, Liberty 4, and the liberty 4 pro, and I have never had a single issue before besides the liberty 3 pro. You can check out the review if you don’t believe me. It was painful. Now the most important part of the decision of rating this almost as low as I've ever rated any other of their products is due to the fact that the myoclonic movements I involuntarily make at times when I'm unable to access my medication, and even when I’m on my meds but grab the case to either remove the earbuds to listen to something or to put them back in, the long touch button on the front of the case is so sensitive that I can barely graze it and it’ll keep changing my normal mode off and enable either ANC or ambient mode. That’s not the worst part. I have only had the earbuds for about two months now and I was just doing something with them in my ears but I wasn’t playing any music or streaming anything whatsoever, and a few minutes after I finished, the right earbud popped off in my ear with the sound being that of a .38mm being shot a millimeter away from your ear, followed by an extended distortion in the bud.. I cleaned the buds off and placed them in the cases, when I had gotten them out and placed them in my ears, the burning sensation was extremely painful and I'm sorry, but that’s not a good sign at all, especially when you have them in your ears, which is why I felt that any potential buyer might want to hear from a truly unbiased individual who doesn’t even normally get upset if I ever received a damaged or defective product, then write a review complaining and realizing that this process will not help anyone and it may actually be the reason why you might not receive help, and I would encourage others to of course explain your concerns, situations and individual experiences with products, but my philosophy is that unless the product could possibly cause serious harm, health risks or even worse, then I will not hesitate to provide my review in the most professional and beneficial way possible. Can you point the finger at a certain company or someone working there that is the cause of the issue? This place is becoming a cesspool of false, misleading and revenge driven rhetoric to hurt the business and the people who are working hard to ensure that they do their best to keep their customers safe from any and all harms. I’m not saying all of them are good at heart but you’ll definitely know when you get the hint and cease contact immediately. I have spent an hour and a half almost on this topic. I will be contacting the business to see if there’s any resolution to my issue, but since I have only had a few issues, extremely frightening and hurting like crazy, I will only give my own review with the follow-up. Soundcore always impresses me. I've been with them since they're Liberty 3. Even when I have been able to start affording some more expensive options, I always feel like it would be a waste of money to do so. These Soundcore Earbuds punch way above their weight class as always, and the new charging case features are really neat! Things I liked: Sound on these is incredible! The clarity in each range (bass, mids and highs) is there and frankly surprisingly effective for earbuds. They're not quite the same quality as my Sony headphones, but, they're earbuds, so I'm amazed that I'm to the point of even starting to hope they could compare. One of the first things I noticed is how loud these can get. For those of you who don't like this, it's okay, you can set a limit to the volume. For those of you who found yourselves trying to stick the earbuds further into your ear at time on the Liberty 4 Pro, that is definitely not necessary on these! I usually was close to full volume most of the time on the 4 and now I'm usually at half volume on the 4 Pro. I'm not sure that's how it should work on paper, but that's how I find myself adjusting the volume nonetheless. The new case features are cool. Some say they'd never use them, but honestly I use the Noise Cancelling adjustment all the time. And the remote camera I plan to use a lot. I love being able to find my earbuds and case! It would be nice to be able to use this functionality even when the earbuds are still inside the case because frankly, I misplace my case a lot and spend a good 10 minutes or more until I find them in some weird place where I decided to set them down. This should help half the time, but the other half, I guess I'll still have to play detective when I lose them. The earbuds charge fast in the case! Wow! And I can actually see the progress thanks to the screen on the case. I absolutely love being able to see the current battery life so easily! The battery life lasts a long time for these as well. I usually don't run into any issues with battery life even though I use these all the time. But if they ever start to get low, I usually just leave one earbud in and charge the other the swap. The case does seem like it could have a bit more battery life, but it's not bad, so I can't criticise it too much. Many more features and great things that are true about the 4s I could say here. Their app is great, and I really recommend getting familiar with it and making the most of these earbuds as a result! A few things I wish could be improved: Heart rate in the ear on Liberty 4 was an okay idea, but the lack of app functionality, integration capability and accuracy of it made me not use it much. Besides, with my exceedingly accurate Garmin devices, it was completely unnecessary, so I'm glad they threw it out. That said, I loved posture detection, and instead of getting rid of this feature, I wish they would have further improved it but just left the default off as I understand it wasn't for everyone. Holding the action button instead of using a double press like in the Liberty 4 to end the call is... well... kind of annoying. I'll say goodbye to someone and have three seconds of awkward silence trying to end the call. I would love for this too be improved, or at least be an option. The mics are great, one of the best in terms of earbud mic quality. That said, there was virtually no improvement this time around. I like the improved sound, but maybe next time SoundCore could come up with ways to improve mix quality even further. Being a musician who regularly uses a Rode NT and Shure SM58, I won't be satisfied until I get this level of quality. I know it's dreamlike thinking, but it is nice to strive for! The volume controls are just so hard to use. I put in a recommendation that they add volume controls to the case which may be useful. But the volume controls on the earbuds, although nice to have, just don't register very smoothly. I don't want SoundCore to get rid of this, but I do hope that in the next gen this is fixed and more smooth. Swipes on the car are usually really smooth, but taps are hard to get to register. It would be nice to have some kind of improvement here. Overall, fantastic earbuds, and I hope the company continues to come up with new things and improve their earbuds! I'll be using these every day until the Liberty 5s come out!

I bought these to replace Anker 4 earbuds and the 4 Pro are a definite improvement. The in-ear fit is very much the same but sound quality and noise cancellation greatly improved! You realise how noisy a flight can be when you place the earbuds in and then take them out. I use the 4 Pro daily during my 5k among traffic and the fidelity of sound whether this is a podcast, soulful house, rap or classics is undiminished with the ANC activated at level 8. The sound quality and range is there, especially when considering the price. I never need to turn the volume much higher than a quarter and never more than half-way. Adjusting the volume is easy by sliding up or down the earbud shaft and you can use the case for controlling the ANC. I managed to purchase the 4 Pro for a very good price and are thoroughly pleased with my purchase and have recommended these to friends. I find the battery life excellent as I will often use the buds for several hours daily with the ear buds holding a good length of charge and the case topping the buds quickly when reinserted. The case is strong and feels durable, so combined with a great battery life (I charge the case and buds once a week), the 4 Pro really are great. The 4 Pro pair with all of my laptops (Dell, HP and Microsoft) and the ability to pair with more than one device via the Soundcore App is handy. I don't use my phone without the 4 Pro for calls now!
