An upgrade
Greetings, wow a great watch. I have the original which is fairly old and hard to get parts for. This is the updated Citizens Promaster Dive Eco-Drive watch and I love it. The watch face is slightly larger in circumference which I like. the weight is good, it still feels there on your wrist. The overall appearance is clean and smart. The only thing I did not care for is the strap. It feels like stiff plastic. I use clasp to keep my watches on my wrist. I put one on this watch and it looks good. The adjustment crown is off set down which is a good improvement. When you bend your wrist tightly the crown is not sticking into your back hand. Now, the crown is offset and out of the way for when you are working out or working with tools. Did I say the watch is good looking? It needs to said again. The watch looks real good on my wrist. As I am a US Navy trained US Marine Diver this watch is a very nice replacement and slight upgrade. The price is good too. The seller delivered the watch fast. No waiting, just good service.

Wonderful watch. Aesthetically and functionally excellent. Battery charges well and holds the charge.

5-Year Work Watch update
Overall, one of the best pieces of work gear I have ever invested in, for my line of work. I am a swimming pool technician, a pool guy, and have been for the last 10 years of my life. I work for one of the largest pool maintenance companies in SoCal and am now a Route Manager, overseeing over 800 individual pools. My everyday has and still consists of many different jobs. Cleaning swimming pools, where I am CONSTANTLY submerging my hands in chlorinated and salinated (salt) water, which does have a corrosive and/or oxidative effect on certain metals. Interacting hands-on with different corrosive and oxidizing chemicals, all of which gets on my hands and wrists at some point everyday. Maintaining, cleaning, and repairing various pumps, filters, plumbing, heaters, automation/electrical pool systems, and valves. This frequently places my hands in uncomfortable, tight spaces where I will bang, scrape, and smash my watches against concrete, metal, and other hard materials in the equipment areas I am working in. I have worn this watch every weekday for the last 5 years for this job. I replaced the original rubberized strap for a nylon/cotton blend NATO strap so it would dry quickly and breathe better. The watch face paint has stood up very well considering how rough my job is on it, with what would be considered as understandable wear and tear. And in my opinion, it gives a worked-in quality of character to the watch. The crystal itself has a few MINOR scratches, which I’m surprised hasn’t cracked or been marred even further, given that I have truly had it banged around hard in my line of work. None of these scratches affect the readability of the watch face at all. You actually have to look in an angled reflection to notice them. The lume of the glowing hands and digits are still VERY strong and last a pretty dang long time. I’m in the sun all day long and so the glow lume gets charged like crazy all day, then lasts for hours into the night. I can also say with certainty that I have NEVER had a battery issue, being that it’s an Eco-Drive and it gets a full belly of sun every working day, I’m not surprised at all. I don’t know when it will ever need a power cell replacement, but it's probably going to be a WHILE being that my line of work puts it in a recharging state at all times. Lastly, the steel body of the watch itself is as solid as when it arrived. It does have some scratch marks, but no gouges. And just in the last 6 months or so, a very light showing of rust-colored oxidization has been showing on the inside of the bezels. I’m surprised its taken THIS long to finally show some signs of oxidizing with how often its been scratched and banged, then plunged into salt and chlorine water and exposed to various chemicals. Overall, I am very pleased with the performance and durability of this watch. In a job where I quickly go through footwear, shorts/pants, sunglasses, hats, multitools/knives/handtools, and other pieces of gear, this watch has stood out as the most rugged and long lasting piece of gear I have bought for my job. I have no doubt it will last a further 5 years easily in the exact same conditions, especially if I give a light polishing for any oxidized areas (which I still haven’t yet). Highly recommend this watch for someone looking for a durable timepiece that can take a beating and still look classy and handsome. I also highly recommend switching to a NATO strap for an even more secure retention (watch won't fall off your wrist if one of the strap bars breaks or pops out).

Hard to improve on this one at ant price!
I recently purchased a Citizen Men's Eco-Drive Promaster Diver Watch with Date, BN0150-28E. This is the 3RD EcoDrive watch I have owned, the others being the first generation Diver, very similar to this one and a military styled field watch. With that said, both those models are daily wear including military and public safety use and are still going strong. Now...on to this beauty....I ordered one two weeks ago, got it two days later and sent the first one back. Why? No instruction booklet or warranty number on the watch tag. I ordered a second one, it two arrived in two days and again, same thing. I actually called Citizen and spoke to a person in Licensed Sales about this, suspecting maybe Amazon was not an authorized sales outlet. They explained they in an effort to reduce packaging (which is funny as this thing comes in a gargantuan box with a replica scuba tank inside) those aspects of the transaction are now online. My old watches had an instruction booklet and warranty number with the watch. I also learned that registering the watch ONLINE gives you one additional year of warranty so bumping it to 6 years. Now- on to the watch. It is a work of simplistic diving watch wrist art. Very old school, simple and elegant at the same time. You could envision James Bond wearing something like this very functional timepiece. I have big wrists and hands and watches are sometimes awkwardly sized for my wear. Not so with this watch, it is just right, not too big, not to small on my 9" wrist. The lume on this watch is fantastic with the "0" on the outer adjustable bezel being a slightly different color to distinguish it. Each number pip has a discrete bright silver trim ring to further enhance low light veiwability. The minute hand is trimmed in a florescent orange to immediately bring the eye to it and for some nice style points that pays homage to its diving roots. The watch itself is no lightweight but at the same time it is not especially chunky either. The offset stem is super comfortable on the wrist ( I wear mine on the right hand ) The solar panel is a smooth, even surfaced flat black, unlike the earlier Eco-drives which had a bit of "grid" pattern to them. If there was one feature I would say I disliked, it would would be the band. It is a heavyweight, and frankly uncomfortable rubber band. It has a decompression chart printed on one side, that appears to be slightly inaccurate compared to my real diving tables. I was a public safety diver for 6 years and don't see any diver actually using the table when computers are so much the standard these days. The factory band is long enough where it would likely fit over most wet suits without much problem. I'd not hesitate taking this watch on regular diving operations and have take the older version I have on many operations without issue. The first thing I did upon receipt was remove the factory rubber watchband and replace them with nylon 5 ring NATO style watchstrap. The orange strap shown in the pic, really makes this piece "pop" as does the khaki and olive versions I purchased. It utilizes a 20MM watchband. The other small annoyance is the teeny tiny calendar date window. Basically it is worthless, all I can say about that. One other suggestion is to purchase some glass crystal protectors for the watch face. My older model is scratched and chipped from real world use and the glass used on these are prone to damage. I got a pack of these off Amazon for under 10 bucks and they essentially function like a cell phone screen protector. Worth it. In summary, in a world where the wristwatch is falling by the wayside more and more, this rugged, adventure craving timepiece is both a statement and functional piece of EDC kit. It is a "must have" for anyone with an interest in true diving watches or those just desiring a stylish, simple and rugged adventure watch that you will find entering your watch rotation and crowding out lesser types.

Great looking watch
Was looking for a weekend at the beach or vacation watch. No worries about water resistance, no worries about changing batteries. Big, not huge. Great lume. Strap a little stiff, nothing a couple of days of use won’t solve. Great buy

A strightforward in your face watch...
So finally I got my first ever pornmaster citizen divers watch...It was awesome to see the way it was packaged becuase it was encased in a beautiful scuba tank. I have been using a moderately sized g-shock ga 800 and gba 800 and so when I first saw this Diver I thought it was small. But I was delighted because it was beautifully crafted like it was forged by the elves of Rivendell. There was a magical glint in it but not too shiny. The navy blue dial is subtle enough for my taste( this color is not like a bubble gum blue for kids but its a blue that is decent for adults) and the round indexes is telling me there is no excuse for me to be late at work. The case is solid steel (?), light as a feather but tough as a nail. The bezel feels a little bit hard for me to turn but thats fine since maybe it is still new. The numbers around the bezel looks like it was just painted so I assume it may fade (does anyone here have this piece with faded numbers in bezel?). The crown can be screwed easily but it was a little awkward for me as I was trying hard to be careful with it. The lume can really be bright and it really last long enough through the night. Once your eyes get used to the dark of course the lume is more than visible enough. The strap feels rigid and strong (being a divers watch) but its not comfortable for me. Its either tight or loose on my wrist. I have a 6.5 inches skinny wrist. BUT overall I am happy with my purchase and I would recommend it to anyone. I was actually choosing between this watch and an affordable casio gravity master GA 1100 / GA 1000 but I realized that the gravity master is more like a digital watch with analogue feature. To be honest I was considering those casio models cus it looks cool. I know those watches can be tough but thats about it. I want something that is analogue, drama free, straightforward, tough and water resistant. So i considered a divers watch instead. I hope this piece will last long enough for me. I rated it 4/5 because of the strap. I know others had been replacing the strap with NATOs but that is an added expense again...

Nice watch. Very accurate for an inexpensive watch
I bought this watch on May 25, 2026, for $199.00 dollars, and I wear it a couple of times a week. It is a nice watch. It keeps great time. It looks good. No complaints. I would buy it again.

Amazing daily timepiece!!!!
This watch is a great daily time piece. The Eco-Drive Solar Quartz movement is durable, accurate and does not require battery changes for an extended period of time with many users stating the watch has operated smoothly for more than 10 years. The case design feels extremely robust and is backed up by ISO Certified 200m water resistance. To further add to this, it also includes a screw down crown for more security. The lume is extremely good and the watch also features a date window. Lastly, I confidently chose this time piece as my daily due to Citizen's excellent warranty as well as the service center being only 45 mins from my home. When it comes to appearances, I personally enjoy the look of this time piece and have very little to complain about. This piece also comes in a multitude of colours and you will definitely find one that you would enjoy wearing on your wrist! Since this is a quartz watch, due note that there are times when the second's hands to not line up the the markings inside the dial. Mine did not have this issue but it is something to note! I did however run into this issue with my Citizen BM8180-03E which I also purchased on Amazon and this is where Citizen's warranty and service center location adds great value to this time piece. I dropped off my timepiece at their service center and filled out a short form for personal information. I received email confirmation of them accepting my time piece and after 4 weeks, I received my watch back with properly lined up seconds hand! Overall the only downsides I can think of is the strap. It definitely feels a bit stiff when you first get it but there are tricks you can find online such as using warm water and a cup to help form it to fit your wrist better! ***Note*** This Amazon sold model does not come with the strap that has the text for non decompression times and did not come in the traditional scuba bottle box.

Great GADA watch from Citizen!
This Citizen Promaster Diver is a great watch. I was a little bit of a skeptic when it came to it being solar-powered with its Eco-Drive but it proved to be worth it. It has a chunky feel and it has some weight to it in a way that makes me know that its stainless-steel case and bezel is quality-built. The crown, when pulled out to adjust the time, still feels a little fragile compared to the rest of the watch. Be prepared for the second-hand to be skipping the moment you pull it out of the box, you will have to give it a good charge in the sunlight or lamp-light(from a safe distance) to get that battery charged up for regular second-hand intervals. The Eco-Drive can not be overcharged so you can let it get some sunlight as long as you like without worry. 200m/20BAR of water-resistance is worry-free as well, just make certain that the crown is screwed in tight. Good lume as well, nice and bright. Read up on the watch's workings and how to set its time from Citizen's website and do not forget to REGISTER IT. Cool watch, I am glad I got the Affirm financing to purchase it for an affordable $307CDN; it usually sells anywhere from $370-$450CDN everywhere else. I recommend it.

Citizen - 0151-09L - Excellent lume
Purchased this product almost a month ago. At first the packing. It was a huge box wrapped by some protective layer. Inside that box was lying a scuba tank which is worth seeing. Inside that tank, was the watch. Next the watch. You will be amazed to see the beauty of it. The polished stainless steel case, the glossy crown with the Promaster emblem in it, the highly glossy outline of the index markers will mesmerize you. The hands are beautiful with the hour hand outlined by glossy stainless steel, minute hand with vibrant orange outline, and the second hand is a thin white hand with a lume at the tip. The hour & minute hands are wide enough to see the time at any lighting condition. The dial is the deep navy blue colour (my favourite colour) on which the index marks & the hands really pop out. The bezel is also of deep navy blue colour. The strap is also navy blue colour which you may change if you donot like rubber strap. Now come to the time keeping capability of the watch. Its running 2 seconds late after 24 days. That means -3 seconds per month which is highly satisfied as you have to adjust time once in a year. Next the charging. The charging is quite fast. I opened the packing at night & after some exposure to the table lamp, it started running & I was amazed to see it running when I woke up in the morning though in a 2 seconds interval. After exposing it beside the window after about 2 hours, it began to tick in 1 second interval. Now the most striking feature of this watch - lume. Its awesome. You cannot understand this feature at the daytime, but at night, even in the middle of night, after 5 hours of last exposure to light, you can clearly see the glowing hands & markers with the naked eye (generally i use specs for reading & writing but to see timing in this watch, I donot use specs, it is so prominent). I was searching such feature in a watch for a long time & it is completely fulfilled by this watch. I really love it. Now the cons. The date window is really small though you can somehow manage to see it. the day is missing. The dial is quite large for small to medium wrists. The strap is of rubber. Final verdict : Every watch in this world has some pros & cons. It has also some. But despite it's cons, you should go for this watch without any hesitation as the appearance of the watch with deep navy blue dial & luminous hands & markers is great, the visibility of the hands is extraordinary, the lume is amazing with about -3 seconds variation per month. Its a must have watch. Addition after 7 months : it is running 8 secs late i.e., almost 1 sec per month. excellent.
