Fast, Reliable, and Great Value for Storage Upgrades
The Kingston NV3 NVMe PCIe 4.0 SSD delivers impressive read and write speeds for a smooth computing experience. Boot times are faster, game load times are noticeably reduced, and file transfers feel almost instant. Installation was simple—M.2 slot fit perfectly—and the drive is recognized immediately by my system. It runs cool and stable even under heavy workloads, making it perfect for both gaming and productivity setups. Pros: Fast PCIe 4.0 performance; reliable and durable; easy installation; 1TB capacity is ideal for games and files. Cons: Speeds aren’t the absolute fastest of PCIe 4.0 SSDs, but excellent for the price. Overall, a solid, high-performance SSD that’s perfect for upgrading storage without breaking the bank.

Storage Is Not the Place to Save a Few Pounds
I have always thought that storage is one part of a computer where it is unwise to buy the cheapest thing available. This Kingston drive was neither particularly cheap nor particularly expensive, but it comes from an established brand and seemed a sensible middle course. I installed it, the computer recognised it immediately, and it has worked without fault ever since. Speeds are good and I have had no errors, strange behaviour or other reason to think about it. For storage, that is really the highest praise I can give. Once installed, I want an SSD to disappear from my thoughts and simply keep my data safe. So far, this one has done exactly that.

Great buy
Overall great, the speeds are good and installation was easy, it fits perfectly. No issues with overheating even though it’s behind my 3090ti. Storage capacity as described. Had to take 1 star away for the lack of screw.

Decent quality nvme
Purchased primarily to use as a cache on a nas system. It works well for that purpose and seems robust.

Runs smooth without glicth
Got this to run Linux on what is a windows laptop. Definitely faster than the OEM one. Plenty of instructions on YouTube on fitting otherwise little effort on my side. Only had a month and no glitches so far

Worked well for a while but 11 months later it’s a snail
It worked great for a while but has died on me. Not completely, it can still store data but reads and writes are painfully slow. The buffer fills and it writes at a maximum speed of 20MB/s. This is way below to the original performance. I’ve formatted it and tried it in a couple of computers always with an heatsink and even in an external USB 3.0 caddy and its performance is poor with all of them. I’ve had Kingston SSD’s for years with no issues but this NVME has let me down. Reading some of the reviews it seems like there are a handful of bad drives out there.

All'atto pratico: Boot di Windows 11: praticamente istantaneo.

Kingston NV3 1TB: Ten Months In and Still Going Strong
I’ve had the Kingston NV3 (1TB) as my primary drive for about ten months now, and I can finally give a "real" report on it. When you first install an SSD, they’re all fast, but the real test is how they handle being 70% full after nearly a year of daily use. The Long-Term Verdict: Still Feels Snappy: Even after ten months of OS updates, game installs, and constant file shuffling, I haven't noticed any "lag" or slowdown in boot times. Windows still loads in seconds, and apps snappily pop open just like they did on day one. Reliability is Solid: I know some people get nervous about "budget" NVMe drives, but I’ve had zero crashes, zero "drive not found" errors, and no corrupted files. For a mid-range Gen 4 drive, it’s been rock solid. Temperature Stability: Even after a few heatwaves and long gaming sessions, the drive hasn't throttled. I’m running it without a heatsink in a case with decent airflow, and it stays well within the safe zone. The "Real World" Observations: The "Fullness" Factor: I’ve currently got about 800GB filled on this 1TB drive. Usually, DRAM-less drives start to chug a bit when they get close to capacity, but the NV3 handles it surprisingly well. You might see a slight dip if you're transferring massive 50GB folders, but for everyday use, you won't feel it. PCIe 4.0 Perks: Having that extra bandwidth for ten months has been great, especially for newer games that take advantage of faster loading. It feels like the sweet spot between "cheap" and "pro." The One Thing to Watch: TBW (Total Bytes Written): Since I’ve been using it for 10 months, I checked the health stats. It’s holding up well, but remember this is a "Value" drive. If you’re someone who deletes and reinstalls 100GB games every single day, you’ll eat through the life of the drive faster than a premium one. For normal use, though? It’ll probably outlive the PC it's in. Final Thoughts: If I had to go back 10 months and decide whether to buy this again, I’d do it in a heartbeat. It’s the perfect "set it and forget it" drive. It gave me the Gen 4 speeds I wanted without the "tax" of the big-name pro brands, and 10 months later, it hasn't given me a single reason to regret the purchase.
