The device itself is not entirely defective; it works perfectly fine when connected to my mobile phone (Android/iOS), providing stable internet access as expected. ​However, the experience on laptops/PCs has been consistently problematic. The dongle connects successfully to the laptop network, but no internet traffic flows. The specific error message shown across all tests is consistently "DNS Server is not assigned." ​I attempted several troubleshooting steps, including manually changing my laptop's IP and DNS network settings, but the issue persisted. Crucially, I tested this dongle on five different Windows laptops, and the exact same DNS assignment failure occurred on every single one. This confirms the issue is not with my personal machine but a compatibility or driver problem with the dongle itself when used with standard computers. ​I have replacement done for this item. the new unit exhibits the identical DNS error, hence requesting a full refund. I use this dongle in my home as me, my niece and my sister all use laptops and smart phones. The data speed is equally shared among all the devices. The more devices slow network. 1 or 2 devices you get complete 4G network. However, the battery is very poor, it drains very quickly.

Observations after 15 days with Jio sim Pros: - Good signal strength (around 15 meter) - Support any sim - Up to 3 to 3.5 hours of battery backup - Configuration steps given in manual Cons: - Cable length is too short - Cable quality is too poor and if I use wired connectivity with this device then internet disconnects automatically after a period of time (20-30 mins). I have to eject and reinsert cable in USB port. This is the biggest drawback. This issue is not observed for wifi connection. - In user manual it is mentioned to not to place this device near any other wireless device - Its price is much higher than its features and cable quality. I was looking for battery based wireless portable device so I had to make this decision.

Compré este adaptador para jugar smash online en Nintendo Switch. Ojo que si planeas usarlo para lo mismo, necesitas la version usb 3.0 (o es 3.1? no estoy seguro). Al momento de la compra, seleccioné el modelo "Talla 0". El usb 2.0 es mas barato, pero leyendo otros reviews, parece que esa version no sirve con el Switch. En cuando a la unidad, se ve siente de buena calidad. El cable esta algo corto. Cable de red se vende por separado. Para configurarlo con el Switch, solo conecta la unidad al dock del switch, y el cable de red a la unidad. Es todo, el switch se conecta usando la red alámbrica por defecto. Si quieres confirmar, en el dashboard, le das en configuración > red. Puedes ver el estado actual y probar la conexión. Ya en el Smash, si tengo uno que otra pelea con lag, pero no tan seguido. Si recomendaría invertir en el adaptador.

Seems to be well made, plug and play function, no drivers needed, seems to work well and speedily on my home PC to Router wired connection, as the LAN port of PC has gone faulty, cheaper than buying an internal PCI card or having PC repaired, and apart from it taking up a Rear PC USB port I'm very happy with the performance, would recommend it to replace or add an extra LAN connection to an older PC.
