Really enjoyable red wine—smooth, soft, and full of fruity flavours like cherry and plum with a subtle oak finish. Easy to drink and great with meals or on its own. Excellent value for the quality! 🍷

Good value for money

I generally only buy wine at £7-10 per bottle to help ensure it’s drinkable . I purchased this on a deal and was going to use it for cooking (with the odd glass for myself whilst cooking - Keith Floyd style). I was quite amazed that the wine was far more full bodied, smooth and represented excellent value for money. Don’t fear if you are looking for a cheap but very drinkable red wine!

This Merlot didn’t just pair with my dinner—it judged it. I opened the bottle and was immediately hit with aromas of red berries, subtle oak, and the faint whisper of “You deserve better.” It’s smooth, it’s fruity, and it goes down easier than my dignity at a karaoke night. By glass two, I was texting my ex. By glass three, I was writing poetry about grapes. By glass four, I was convinced I could open a vineyard with nothing but hope and a Tesco Clubcard. It’s dangerously drinkable. Like, “I’ll just have one glass” and suddenly you’re debating the philosophy of jam with your houseplants. McGuigan Black Label Merlot doesn’t just accompany your evening—it stars in it. Highly recommend if you enjoy red wine, existential spirals, and waking up next to an empty bottle that says, “We had fun, didn’t we?”

I feel this is a cant go wrong wine, it's easy to drink and fruity. Not spicy, smooth, a typical merlot and the bottle looks good.

A good cheap merlot,pleasant taste.It is 12.5 ABV not 13.5,from the bottles I have bought.
