A Smart upgrade that doesn't miss a thing!
I’ve been using the TEPO TD21 battery video doorbell for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed. Setup was very easy, the instructions were clear, and the app connected to the doorbell without a hitch. The video quality is surprisingly sharp, even at night, and the wide-angle lens gives a great field of view. One of the biggest wins is the motion detection, it's responsive without being overly sensitive, and I appreciate the customisable zones to avoid false alerts from passing cars. The two-way audio is clear and loud enough for real conversations, not just muffled sound like with some cheaper models. The battery life is great so far. After moderate daily use and some motion alerts, it’s holding a good charge and hasn’t needed a recharge yet.Overall, the TD21 offers excellent value. It has the key features of much pricier models without skimping on performance. If you’re looking for a reliable, wireless video doorbell that gets the job done this one’s a winner.

A solid product - better than the big names...
The media could not be loaded. I bought an Annke video doorbell originally as the Annke CCTV I have is faultless. Disappointing, sent it back - 'nuff said. Having seen the excellent reviews for the Tapo TD21 on Amazon and YouTube, I decided to order it. Where do I start? First and foremost, it's super easy to set up. The still images and video quality are razor sharp and the viewing angle (fully adjustable), is wider than most. And, unlike a lot of other video doorbells out there, you don't have to take out a subscription to access all the fully customisable features, they come as standard. Yes, you can opt to take out a subscription, but I chose to install a micro SD card instead, which captures events perfectly. Detection-wise you can set it to any combination of motion, person, pet and vehicle. Battery life is pretty impressive, too. Since fully charging it and installing it some several weeks back, it's at 87% and that's after having a good play about with it, tweaking all the settings. An excellent mid-entry video doorbell from Tapo range and reasonably priced - great functionality and, of course, peace of mind. Best of all the Amazon delivery drivers use it! If If I had a gripe, it would be it's not available in black. All in all a neat video doorbell - thoroughly recommended.

Great little camera for the price
Really good camera for the price that's has both pros and consPros:Brilliant and clear picture for both day and nightOption to turn on light if anyone approaches the propertyReasonable prices if you opt to subscribeWall mounted installation is very easyComes with wedge so you can angle it depending on your front/back of house layoutEasy to view recordingsComes with an indoor plug in speaker which has different volume settingsVoice activation to speak the person outsideEasy to remove to chargeCons:Battery life is nowhere near 6 months - even with adjusting sensitivity and distance I think you will probably get about 4-6 weeks out of it before it needs to be chargedThe app and connecting is not the easiest and takes some fiddling around with on both installation and different settingsCharging time is minimum 8 hoursThe pros definitely our way the cons so I would definitely recommend it especially for the price.

Excellent Video Doorbell with many features
The Tapo TD21 video Doorbell is an excellent video doorbell for the money, the sound and picture quality is excellent and it covers a wide viewing angle, almost a fish bowl type of image. The doorbell picks up 4 things, people, pets, vehicles and general Motion Detection, each of these can be turned on and off to suit your circumstances so for eg. If you lived on a farm you'd probably turn off the animal detection etc etc. A plug in chime also comes with the doorbell that you can position anywhere around the house, it is quite loud pending which sound you opt for but there are 6 to choose from.Out of the box the Tapo doorbell is fairly easy to set up, it connected to my Wifi with ease and everything needed to mount the doorbell on your door or wall is in the box, a handy template is included that allows you to mark the places needed for the 4 screws also in the box. I opted to use the double sided sticky pad, also provided that you simply stick to the back of the doorbell template and then to your door but if you are going to use this method ensure you get the position correct on your first go as sticking it and then decided to place somewhere else will reduce the strength of the sticky pad and this may result in your doorbell at the risk of falling off and being damaged. There is also a template enclosed in the box that allows for the doorbell to be attached on an angle to the left or right should you need it.The Tapo doorbell comes with Infrared Night Vision which provides black and white images at night but it can also provide full colour night vision which was one of the reasons why i opted to purchase the TD21 model, most others only provide black and white images at night so make sure you check in the description before you buy if you require colour night vision. Another feature that i looked for was the ability to use an SD card for local recording, this enables you to record all pictures and videos onto a Micro SD card as opposed to Cloud storage as Cloud storage is usually a subscription service, paid for on a monthly or yearly term. The TD21 comes with a 30 day free trial of its Cloud storage service, following this it's up to you which service you opt for.Overall I'd highly recommend the Tapo TD21 doorbell as it is excellent value for money and comes with many features others may not include. An excellent 2K picture which is as clear as anything, a long battery life which is said to last 4 months without between charges and many features that enhance your overall security.ps. I have yet to discover how long the batteries last as i have only just purchased the doorbell and it's on its first charge however it had been in use now for 2 weeks and it has used up 10% of battery life.
