Let me start by saying, this carpet glue means serious business when it comes to holding things together. It's like the superhero of adhesives, with an extreme hold that's practically unmatched. Once it sets, you can trust that whatever you've glued isn't going anywhere. However, there's a bit of a learning curve with this product. While its strength is impressive, it also means you need to handle it with care. It has a tendency to stick to everything it comes into contact with, so being neat and precise during application is crucial. I learned this the hard way when my gloves ended up sticking to my tools. It was a bit of a sticky situation, pun intended! But once I got the hang of it and started being more careful, the process became much smoother. Despite the initial challenges, I have to admit, the results speak for themselves. The carpet is securely in place, and I have no doubts about its durability over time. Just be sure to take your time and exercise caution to avoid any unwanted sticking incidents.

Everything worked perfect!

I have used this adhesive for two boat projects so far. It spreads nicely with a plastic trowel and worked well for attaching marine carpet to wood. However, I had less success using it to attach marine carpet to aluminum. It seemed like the adhesive had a harder time getting a good grip on the aluminum surface, even though the surface was prepared beforehand. Another thing to be aware of is that this adhesive takes a long time to cure. I used marine carpet with a waterproof backing, and even after a couple of days, I could still feel areas where the adhesive underneath the carpet had not fully hardened. Overall, it has worked well enough for my projects, but based on my experience so far, I’d recommend it more for carpet to wood applications than carpet to aluminum. I haven’t used it long enough to comment on its long-term durability.
