I'm loving it! Excellent lather, make sure you follow the instructions, you make the lather in your hands first, is creamy and the first time it made my scalp tingle for what felt like hours. I order my shampoo from Europe in order to avoid all the US chemicals so im very pleased to see this shampoo has no harmful chemicals in their list. Another detail I like is how there is no smell, the Conditioner does have smell but not the shampoo. Is impressive and interesting how clean and soft it leaves my hair, is a very different experience from other commercial shampoos, including the one my hairdresser uses when I go to her Salon once a month. In my case I got it because of the ingredients list, I been looking for something more local that won't take weeks to arrive and most important made with natural ingredients. I like updating my reviews and I definitely will in a few months. Update: I like so much what this shampoo and conditioner are doing for my hair that I went on and gave a try to the pills that Dr.Berg have for hair. The trio together has done a lot for my hair, it feels thicker, gray hairs are coming out dark again, I can see where they stop being gray and started to have color again. I'm including a picture of only 3 months using this product and 1 month of adding the hair pill. I'm not saying this are the results for everyone, in my everyday eating we have limited our vitamins inhibitors, like sugar, carbs and alcohol (I miss my glasses of wine) and 70% of what we eat is organic. This is an excellent product if you have a sensitive and itchy scalp. I have not been able to find products that my scalp can tolerate until I tried this. I’ve been using it for about a month, and although it isn’t perfect, I would still highly recommend it, especially for anyone dealing with scalp or hair loss issues. Everyone’s experience is different, but I did not find that the shampoo lathers particularly well, even compared to other sulfate free shampoos. But that leads me to believe that this is a cleaner and more natural product without a lot of synthetic fillers. What seems to help is using a quarter sized amount for medium length hair, adding a little warm water and pre-lathering it in my hands before adding it to my hair. Used in this way, I don’t need to use excess product and it lasts a lot longer, because using more doesn’t mean you will get more lather, it’s actually just as effective if you use less product. The other thing I wanted to mention is that I noticed some of the negative reviews may be from people who did not use this with the Dr. Berg conditioner. I find that the shampoo leaves my hair feeling almost slightly stripped and a bit tangled. If you decide to try this shampoo, be aware that you pretty much need to also purchase the conditioner because they work in conjunction with each other. I actually like the conditioner even more than the shampoo, as it helps to moisturize and detangle my hair. I can’t imagine anyone using the shampoo without the conditioner. I would absolutely recommend using both products before you form an opinion. Overall, this is a super high quality product that you would expect from the Dr. Berg product line. I will continue to use it and look forward to healthier hair.

No disappointments with this shampoo. Leaves hair feeling manageable and shining

I started experiencing some thinning on top and my comb and brush were showing the dreaded signs. So, I did my homework; products and chemicals to avoid, the effects of heat damage and dryness and how and when to brush properly and what supplements to take and use for healthier hair etc. I came acrossed Dr. Berg's Shampoo and Conditioner, read multiple reviews, researched the effects of the ingredients on scalp and hair and thought I'd give it a try (I've yet to try the serum). After just a few uses, I was pleasantly surprised at the way it didn't weigh my hair down although it has some amazing botanical oils that are great for both skin AND hair that are included in the list of ingredients. It also eliminates the ingredients I researched that can actually cause hair loss like Sulfate Laureth and Sulfate Lauryl which have been potentially associated with hair loss and/or thinning. This product lather's well, rinses completely (remember the days of that squeaky clean and shiny feeling hair during youth?) Well, I highly recommend this product. My hair feels cleaner, looks shinier, feels thicker after only a few uses and I can get away with air drying vs styling (I have only air dried my hair and have used no product(s) in the photos submitted.) I am now a new customer who is usually a skeptic w/o any evidence so well-done Dr. Berg!!! 😉

I want to record the amount of hair loss that I have on any normal hair washing. I generally shampoo my hair three to four times a week. First 2 pictures are day one after my first shampoo this is the amount of hair that I lost. Now don't be alarmed because this is normal for me. And has been for many many years. My goal is to use this shampoo and conditioner through the first set of bottles and then record my results with an updated photo of my hair loss after shampooing and combing. I also purchased Dr Berg's hair vitamins for transparency it calls for 2 per day but i take 1 because they are expensive. My hair is fine and wavy and comes down between my shoulder blades. The shampoo has a nice light peppermint eucalyptus smell. My scalp feels cool and it combed out relatively easy. The bottles are small 8 oz but it did not take a lot to wash my hair about the size of a nickel/quarter. It lathers really well and rinses really well. It feels light and i do not feel any residue. I am not crazy about the price however I am also not crazy about buying lots of shampoos/ conditioners that have not helped. Edited: started the second set of bottles today (9/22/25) and added a third picture of my hair loss after emptying the first set. Im very happy with the results!
