Works perfect!
Great quality, speed and easy installation! Bought two of these because of how cheap they are to run RAID1 in my editing travel NAS. Fit perfect, as advertised, and would totally buy more if I had more machines that took this slotting.

Easy install, fast OS load
I needed a new msata ssd to replace the 128gb stock drive that came with my low profile mini ACEPC desktop pc. After only a couple of years, the original drive failed. This ORICO 256GB mSATA SSD was a perfect fit for the pc and relatively easy to install. The price point was perfect as well, as I don't use the spare pc for a ton of stuff. Its performance is superior so far, and re imaging the pc with windows 10 home edition was flawless and way faster than I thought it would be. Other pc's I've rebuilt in the past took 45 minutes to an hour or more to lay the image, using this drive, it was ready for updates within 30 minutes. My only gripe, and many others share my annoyance, is what the photo shows. Its is not fully 256gb. Due to the way companies make these, there's always less. Mine is an odd 238.5gb. Still far better than the 128 that was in it. Extending the volume was greyed out, so I was unable to tinker with it. For 20$ to reinvigorate a 200$ mini pc, it was well worth it.

I am impressed they work in my 10 y/o mobo and are fast!
For the record, I am reviewing the: ORICO 1TB mSATA SSD, SATA III 6Gbps 3D NAND Internal Solid State Drive for Laptops Ultrabooks Desktop-ZH10 I was recently upgrading my computer and building a new one when I discovered that my 10 year old MSI Z87 Xpower motherboard had a slot for one of these SSDs. I went on to MSI global website and looked to see if the had any list of compatible SSDs and the all the ones they listed were all a lot smaller, like 64GB and 128GB. I went ahead and got this thinking I would just see if it worked and it does. I am super happy with this little guy and I have now gotten two more of the larger size ones as well. I have only had them installed for about 11 days but they are working, run fast, and I am impressed. I think ORICO is heading toward stardom with their products, they do a nice job of packaging and supplying you with everything you need. For what they are selling them for, ya great value. Two thumbs up, I can recommend them. But I am not a tech type person, so I cannot testify as to all the technical details of the drive. For that you need to read on.. But I love them.

INOP on arrival. Company was very proactive in remediating the situation.
This 256GByte mSATA SSD was packaged like it came from the factory, but was defective on arrival. I tried it in two different machines. In both cases the machines were running with older, smaller mSATA drives. This was intended to be an upgrade, so was installed in those machines that were previously working. No response. BIOS shows the slot as empty. When the test machines were returned to their original configuration, they worked fine, just as before. Quite confident it is a defective device. UPDATE: I returned the original defective item and wrote a bad review and figured that was the end of it. The company reached out to me and said they wanted to make it right and sent me a replacement, even though I indicated that I had already returned the original one and been refunded for it. They sent it anyway and it functions perfectly, just as I had expected from the original one. I have not gotten service like that on Amazon before. I was very impressed. It's not quite 5 stars since I did get a bad unit and spent a lot of time debugging it, but holy cow. Nice recovery ORICO!

THIS IS NOT A REVIEW OF THE PRODUCT
This is not a review of the product itself, but rather of ORICO’s customer service. I purchased their 2TB mSATA SSD to replace my 7-year-old Samsung 1TB mSATA SSD, which Hard Disk Sentinel indicated was likely to fail in about three months. The Samsung drive was also nearly full. After cloning the new drive using DiskGenius, I replaced the Samsung SSD with the ORICO SSD in my motherboard. However, upon booting up my computer, I encountered various blue screen errors. I attempted to troubleshoot each error by watching videos on YouTube, but was unsuccessful. I then contacted ORICO, and after several emails--including screenshots of each blue screen error--I received a full refund. Ultimately, it doesn’t matter who the manufacturer is. What truly matters is how they respond to and resolve issues for their customers.

Didn't last a year
I purchased this drive in February of 2025. Here it is January of 2026, not even a year later, and the drive is effectively dead. Errors reading and writing, can't access files that I put on it. Using software that reads the SMART information of the drive, this hardly has any powered up time. Now, I'm looking for a replacement and I certainly would not buy an Orico driver again in the future.

Haven't used it much but all seems to work very well so hoping it will continue so for a long time. Bought to fit in an enclosure bought for another SSD which was not compatible and this works fine. Great as a small external SSD that can be carried and stored easily taking up very little space while providing a good level of storage.
