Organic & Natural Black Beard Dye

I began using JFM but have sensitive skin. I had slight burn after a few uses so decided to stop immediately. I looked at a few natural items and saw this brand available on Amazon. I initially used the dark brown. It didn’t work well. I was getting orange colour on my grey hairs and only lasting a couple of days. I was about to give up but thought I would try the black dye. This has worked great with no irritation. With this product, it took some practice and trial and error to get things the way I wanted. I have a relatively short beard (number 6 on my Remington beard trimmer) and I colour it every 5 days. It’s not as straight forward as chemical dyes but I have found it works just as well. The first thing to mention is that this does take longer. If you need the base then it can take up to an hour whereas the JFM only stayed on for 2 minutes. I find it best to use this around doing something else as opposed to just sitting around waiting to wash it off. The second thing to mention is that this does not work like chemical dyes. This will only colour what it is physically in contact with. Therefore, you have to make sure you cannot see any hair sticking out of the application. It has to be thick with the beard fully underneath the mixture. I find that my beard darkens immediately but continues to get darker over the next 8 hours. I don’t personally get any of the green or purple mentioned. This colour is a dark black and darker than my natural beard. There is no guarantee that the dye will work. You may need to use the base. The dye has not worked for me without the base. I have done some trial and error and I can mix my base in with the black and use it in one application. This is not how they recommend it is used but works for me and I half the time. It works better if you use the base and colour separately but I’m happy with the result and I prefer to have a few grey hairs here and there as it looks more natural. If I use separately then I can get 100% black beard. One of the great things about this compared to chemical products is that this does not colour your skin. I have no irritation at all. I previously had dry skin under my beard but using this product has meant I no longer have dry skin. It’s also worth noting that this product requires a lot less time on the beard than similar natural products which say they need to be on for anywhere between 4 hours to overnight. All in all very happy with this and I like that it is natural.

I’m extremely disappointed with this hair dye. I followed every single instruction exactly as written, and instead of the color advertised, my hair turned PURPLE. Not even close to what was shown on the box. I spent time and money trying to get a decent result, and now I’m stuck with a color I never wanted. This product is a complete rip-off and absolutely not worth the money. The results were misleading, uneven, and honestly embarrassing. If a product can’t deliver the promised color even when used correctly, it shouldn’t be sold at all. I’m beyond pissed off and would never buy this brand again. Save your money and avoid this disaster.

Zero reaction. Very good black result. Value for money. After trying many products that claim to be chemical free, I can say this is the only one that is perfect for me. It's great value for money as I can get about 6 applications. I have a short beard and the final colour is a very good black leaving my hair soft. The other products (henna based) gave me a blue tint. Definitely sticking to this.

Lots of good reviews on here already because it's a product that really makes you think. It is absolutely the best dye I have tried for sensitive skin. I haven't itched once and I no longer fear the face napalm trauma I experienced with Just for men. When you get it right the colour is the most natural out of all I have tried, and it lasts for around a week. I'm a personal fan of the way it darkens all your beard but leaves other whiskers ever so slightly lighter to give your beard a more wholesome appearance; the best out of them all tbh. Undoubtedly, I still haven't perfected it, and I can see why people don't persevere with this product - which is a shame. In their instructions, Grizzly Mountain do mention 'taming your beard' with initial applications and this is key. It's not going to be a thirty minute - there it all is - job. Folk who have used the other dyes out there may have become accustomed to their more instant colour gratification; and so GM might disappoint many who are looking for a quick fix. In the beginning, I experienced the greens and the purples...but hardly ever now, and we're talking 9-10 months of use. It now looks good, and more importantly, it makes me feel like I have mastered the grey. I think the important thing is to give your beard a thorough wash with hot/warm water before mixing and applying as this cleans out any residue which can affect any strange colours. Don't be too frugal with how much you apply either. Slap it on.

Like many, I had to switch to natural dyes due to dermatitis caused by PPD and other harsh chemicals in synthetic dyes. The good news is that I don't get a bad reaction with natural dyes like this one. The bad news is that the results aren't as good. Try as I might, I couldn't get rid of the slight purplish tinge to my beard. Experimented with their Organic Base product and with different timings but to no avail. The problem is that both these products contain BOTH henna AND indigo and in fixed ratios. To solve the purple tinge problem, you need to increase the henna to indigo exposure ratio. The solution therefore is to apply only henna and only indigo separately. Unfortunately this takes a lot longer but the result is a natural looking black (I have a coarse beard with 80% of my hairs white). For me, 2h of henna followed by 45min of indigo does the trick. The product I use is It's Pure Organics - they do a combo bag of both dyes separate.

I had high expectations for this product, choosing to overlook the negative reviews—but unfortunately, that was a mistake. The instructions are poorly written and fail to mention the use of the base product. Despite this, I gave it multiple tries, only to end up being ridiculed by my peers. Instead of enhancing my slightly grey-black beard, it turned an unnatural drag queen blue/purple, leaving me no choice but to shave it off entirely. This product is not fit for purpose and should be marketed as a novelty rather than a serious grooming solution. While the concept behind it is commendable, it clearly fails for a significant number of users. Something as personal as beard care deserves a product that actually delivers on its promises. Also, no response from the company following my concerns about the colour.

At first I left a poor review. Later to change to 5 stars. First application, the product didn’t seem to have any effect. But the next day, not a grey in sight. Great product.

Dieses Bartfärbemittel besteht aus natürlichen Substanzen und eignet sich auch für Menschen, die auf die üblichen Bartfärbemittel mit schweren allergischen Reaktionen reagieren. Es gibt das Mittel in vier verschiedenen Farbvarianten. Jeder Bart reagiert anders auf das Mittel. Daher muss man ein bisschen herumprobieren. Ähnlich wie bei einem ungefärbten Bart bleibt der Bart nach dem Färben ein bisschen uneinheitlich. So ist auch bei der Farbe "schwarz" nicht ein pechschwarzer Bart zu erwarten, wie es bei synthetischen Mitteln der Fall ist. Das Ergebnis wirkt dadurch natürlicher. Die Reaktion des Barts auf das Mittel ist nicht vorhersehbar. Daher sollte der Erstanwender das Mittel möglichst vor einem Wochenende benutzen. Es kann insbesondere bei der schwarzen Variante zu einem leichten Violett- oder Grünstich kommen. Das verliert sich bei wiederholter Anwendung. Es ist oft besser, zunächst eine hellere Farbe zu verwenden, z. B. Hell- oder Mittelbraun. Zudem kann man die einzelnen Farben auch mischen, z. B. ein Teelöffel schwarz und zwei Teelöffel dunkelbraun. Außerdem sollte man sich darüber im Klaren sein, dass das Mittel mindestens einmal in der Woche angewandt werden sollte, um abrupte Farbwechsel zu meiden.

Es un producto que da un toque de color a la barba muy natural. El procedimiento es un poco engorroso (media hora de actuación un producto y media hora de actuación el otro) pero el resultado es bueno y no produce ningún tipo de reacción alérgica. El olor del producto puede resultar algo desagradable, pero aguanta bastante tiempo y, como digo, no queda artificial...

Enfin un produit naturel,qui irrite pas la peau. Magnifique, super ! Suivez bien les consignes a la lettre ! J'ai vu quelques commentaires négatif, faut vraiment pas négliger les recommandations prescrit dans la notice. C'est une teinture par oxydation Donc contrairement à une teinture chimique, celle si s'intensifie sous 1 ou 2 jour. J'adore!! Tendu ultra naturel.
