What size should I get my 15 mo old?? Is 3 mm too small?

Yes, 3mm is too small. I bought 5mm for my 6 month old baby, and they looks just perfect!

My 3-year old removed her old earrings (small hoops) quite a few time until she lost it. Do you think this will be hard for her tiny finger to remove?

Over the years I've tried several type earrings on my two granddaughters, starting at age two. They are now 6 and 8. One granddaughter doesn't bother her earrings, the other one constantly fidgets with hers. I've tried hoops, and several variety of screw-backs; including these beautiful gold balls. The non-fidgeting child have safeguarded her earring through the years. The one that fidgets lost every earring I ever put in her ears, even these adorable gold balls. I found it's not the size of the the fingers but the constant fidgeting with the earrings that causes them to come apart. I know little girls look adorable in earrings, but until she gives up the tendency to fidget with her earrings, I can almost guarantee you she will be able to dislodge them.
