Great choice
Great competitive price compared to all the other keyboards that claim to do the same thing or do the same thing but with a huge markup, love the sound of it and itโs been going strong for six months now, no issues, beautiful keyboard and configurations with features

Possibly the Perfect Keyboard
I read all the reviews but this will much less technical and more about feel and ergonomics. I go through keyboards like they're disposable. I yearn for that perfect experience I had from an old Dell keyboard in the late 90s. It was mechanical and so smooth. I hunt and peck and occasionally brush other keys which results in typos and rework. It is not productive. When I get frustrated enough I go in search of a new keyboard option. I have donated at least 20 keyboards to Goodwill. All function but they just didn't have the right feel. Until this one. I knew it was pricey but I felt it was worth it if I could finally find a keyboard that didn't frustrate. This is it. The keys have the tactile feel I truly appreciate but they are not loud like a Corsair. Everything is smooth and easy to use. Even if you can't figure out the basics without a manual,. the manual is very easy to read and use. The keyboard is perfectly responsive and does not add artifacts if I brush a key. I find it hard to believe I would ever say this but typing on this keyboard bring true pleasure to me. I cannot attest to the gamer ability since I just work with it. For a work computer, this is worth the price of admission.

Possible Apex of Keyboards (aha)
It's sleek, it feels good, and it's better than every other Razer thing I've ever used. I bought this because a brand new keyboard that I've kind of relied on being the Razer Black Widow it is basically become the worst thing to game with on the planet. Contrary to popular belief I do actually enjoy the clickiness of most keyboards but this one doesn't have it nearly as much and is much quieter. It's quite a bit more responsive when connecting to its third party software, which is actually built well, so programming it to do what you need it to do is actually do it fairly easy. After gaming on it as soon as I opened it up for about 29 hours straight it showed no signs of odd behavior. Long-term thinking if you're trying to clean this thing, the keys are not surrounded by a housing so getting to them is relatively easy.

Failed in 9 months, warranty process made me regret buying SteelSeries
I bought this Apex Pro Gen 3 as a premium keyboard, not a disposable accessory. After only about 9 months of normal use, the RGB lighting on the S key went from cyan to red, and is now completely dark. The key still types, but it has no lighting at all. The Escape key also no longer displays my normal cyan color correctly; it shows green instead of cyan. For a keyboard in this price range, that is already disappointing. What made it worse was the warranty process. SteelSeries approved the warranty claim, but then required me to ship the keyboard back before they would send a replacement. They provide a shipping label, but not packaging. So the customer is expected to find packaging, box up a full-size keyboard, ship it back, and then wait for SteelSeries to receive and process it before sending the replacement. This is my daily keyboard, my eyes aren't great, and I rely on the lighting to see the keys. Being told to give up my only working keyboard while waiting for the replacement process is not acceptable customer service for a premium product that failed under warranty. I asked a few times for a reasonable alternative: advance replacement, proof of destruction from home, or some kind of pickup/packaging option. SteelSeries refused and said the shipping step is required and cannot be waived. Companies make the rules, and can waive them at times. The good companies know that. So my review is simple: the keyboard felt good while it worked, but a high-end keyboard should not develop a hardware lighting failure after 9 months, and the warranty process should not make the customer jump through hoops to get a replacement. I also own SteelSeries Arctis headphones, but after this experience, I will not be buying SteelSeries keyboards or headsets again. If you are considering this keyboard, understand that if something goes wrong under warranty, you may be required to package and ship your daily keyboard back before SteelSeries sends the replacement. That alone would have made me think twice before buying.

Pricy, and awesome.
Becoming my favorite keyboard. The switch quality is amazing. Keyboard feels like a pleasure to type on. It does have more features that I am not really caring about, such as key actuation range. But I am sure someone will find it useful. It is pricy, but I can't go back to any other keyboard after this one.

perfect keyboard. go for it.
perfect keyboard for any gamer. keys sound so nice and creamy. the actuation is programmable so you can be either super precise or have extra room to play with. heavy, sure, but again you arenโt going to be moving it much. build quality - amazing.. almost. the media button feels a bit mushy.. it may be a bit loose. by the way itโs loose on both of my apex pro Gen 3s. the display is actually useful since you can configure the whole keyboard just from that. you can also add images to it or gifs to it which is pretty cool. though it has to be black and white. there is no colour and it doesnโt have greyscale. leds are pretty bright and look super satisfying. i personally have the pudding keys from steelseries which i would recommend, they look so good. software is a pain i cant lie, sometimes can be a bit hard to go through. also its so damn expensive.. though i canโt lie its worth it. iโve stuck with steelseries keyboards since the first keyboard i ever got. iโve always used steelseries apex keyboards, all others felt like they were missing something. and they were. it was the display. i always miss the display. the display is quite responsive but the refresh rate is clearly low.

Awesome keyboard
Absolutely great keyboard. Love the magnetic switches. When playing games I can be hard on the keys slapping them fast and hard. This keyboard has never missed a key stroke and feels solid. Have not used the multi key stroke settings so can't say anything about that, however the keys are very sensitive. The backlighting is really awesome as they down shine onto the keyboard as well as through the key caps. Makes seeing the keys much better. Love the big full layout as I have big fingers and they fit nicely onto the key caps.

THE BEST typing gaming keyboard!!!!
This Gen 3 has better keys than my original Apex Pro, but this does not have onboard storage /keyRGB. It does store key bindings and actuation points. It is a GREAT value at this price, typing is buttery smooth and quiet with satisfying feel making it tops for typing. Adjusting the actuation point is critical for error free typing, and changing for gaming is very desirable. I have all the top keyboards, and only the more expensive Corsair is it's competitor possible being more durable. I went back to my original Apex Pro because it has better per key illumination with twice as thick letters, and onboard storage of per key RGB.
