It Worked Where Other Routers failed.
It's fully compatible with the latest WiFi 7 (both bands). I replaced the router that I got from my cable company, which was nothing but trouble and it had to be rebooted every week or so. The Netgear RS200 is a dream. Easy to setup and is fully compatible with everything I own. I paired it with a Nighthawk EAX80 Wi-Fi 6 Mesh Extender. It has a 100% up time and works well. I have a complicated network and it handled everything I could throw at it. I'm a happy camper...

ROUTER REPLACEMENT
Like other posts, I don’t like taking time to write reviews. However, I received an email from Netgear that my router was too old to take anymore updates. Since I prefer NETGEAR, I went online to AMAZON to purchase a router. I decided the (RS200) would easily serve my needs. (My wife and I are old retirees). Amazon had a note that router may be less at other venders. I clicked on and found AMAZON store describing one like new. I ordered half the price and it arrived in mint condition. Set up was fairly easy. It is easier if you have an iPad and iPhone close by. The biggest problem was finding old passwords to reconnect thermostats, Roku sticks, Apple streaming devices. Too, if you have RING cameras. they have to be removed and reset. I got very little help from RING. One was understanding foreign language, other was English speaking that did not have any idea what to do, and lastly is the garage door opener. The NETGEAR has only been installed (3) days, but so far it’s performing very well, and speed has improved.

Nighthawk is AMAZING Description: I purchased the Nighthawk to upgrade my home network and it has been working flawlessly. The intuitive GUI is easy to use and configure! Great Job!!!

It's pretty reliable and the installation is pretty easy
I wish the user manual looked like the screens in the router setup. Luckily I was upgrading from an R7000 so the setup was almost the same. I made note of the changes, unplugged the old router, plugged in the RS200, logged in as admin and made the changes. I used the same SSIDs and passwords, all my WIFI devices connected successfully. I added the router to the Nighthawk Manager after the router was operational. I spent about 4 hours, most of that was reviewing my existing settings.

Difficult to set up
Difficult to set up and get working. The Nighthawk app wasn't very useful, I had to call Netgear support which wasn't very helpful solving the problem, They were very polite and understood the problem I was having but still wasn't able to solve the issue of not connecting to ethernet or wifi even though my settings were showing I was connected. Netgear support made arrangements to call me back at 10:00 am the following day to work on the issue some more but didn't call until 12:00pm . Mean while I had called Spectrum and they were able to solve the issue and its working now. My computer does seem a bit faster and my tv no longer is loosing connections while watch a program

Pleasantly surprised
Bough this to replace my outdated/unsupported Netgear NightHawk Router. I’ve had issues in the past with other manufacturers routers connecting to my garage opener. Netgear worked with all of my devices. There are complaints here about having to use the app and they are correct if you want to do more advance settings like port forwarding. For that you just need to log into the router from a PC. It’s not like you would want to make those changes through an app or from your phone. The app is great when setting the router up. I just used the same WiFi name and password so everything would automatically connect. And you can turn off smart connect through the app if you want. Turning off Smart Connect allows you to separate 2.4 and 5mhz if you want. This router has advance settings if needed, but it’s a great “set it and for get it” router also. The range is awesome. Plus my connection speed has improved with 25 devices connected.
