XYJ Knives,Professional Knife Sets for Master Chefs

Long winded lol Well for $90 I got what I paid for... let's get into this. First it came in a good sized box and packaged well. Opened that, and was greeted by the "roll" , its square...lol and actually a decent little set up. Each knife was individually bubble wrapped and protected, a nice touch.as i unwrapped each one i did notice the knife guards, tho adequate,I found them to be a little wonky, most are fine while some were pinch tight to the point of if you're not careful, you will slip and become Japanese Mafia certified. And some just don't hold the knifes secure at all. The finish , I chose the all black set, is nice and clean with none of the pealing or flaking that others have posted(lucky?). How it holds up only time will tell. I dont give it much faith. These things are sharp!! Did the paper test on a few NIB and all passed ... Now onto the steel itself. It's of good weight and some even a little heavy. Balance is MID at best. These are HARD steel to the point that they don't flex... but its SOFT as for keeping and edge. The filet knives have ZERO flex and I dont see me using those on fish or the sort. The honing rod is cheap and more for show. The case is sturdy enough and a good all around holder for a large set such as this. Overall, having just got these im happy with them. Are they PROFESSIONAL? Not even a little bit. Are they good for the amateur/student cooks? YES. It even comes with a 3 way peeler. I dont see it holding up to a Pro kitchen, but the novelty is cool. It's a well rounded set and like I said a good beginner/student set. Pic is of knives in a smaller roll i got as I dont need ALL the knives at work.

Very nice beginner knives! These are going to be perfect for culinary school. I like the handles on them, they're quite comfortable to hold. Blades are extremely sharp. I was going to test them later today but did an accidental test on my thumb unpacking the knives. Completely my fault. But barely touching the blade left a clean slice on the top of my thumb. Just be very careful, its like cutting through soft butter with these!

Love my set. I been ordered these and they are still sharp as the first day I got them. You definitely get your money worth and more.

I was looking for good knifes I love these knifes they are durable they feel nice in your hands. The grip fits your hand great, the weight is balanced nicely. I love they have covers for storage to help keep them sharp.

Nice product, knifes are very sharp and cut well. The only downsides that I have noticed is that the straps to help hold the knifes in place are not long enough. They wrapped around the handles but there were some where they barely connect in the middle. Also there are two long skinny knifes that have knife protectors on them but they slide off very easily cause they don’t fit those 2 knifes correctly. And I had received the red thing (idk what it is) with water stains on it. Tried washing it but they are still there. I had got the 15 set and the knife organizer doesn’t fit all of them. I had to put two knifes together for all of the knifes and the sharpener to fit. Other than that the knifes works perfectly good.

I love these knives. They are sharp and easy to sharpen. I ordered this set to complement my other purchases. What I didn’t like, but not related to the knives themselves was how it arrived. The wrapped knives seemed to have been just thrown in the box. There was no directions on how to place them in the slots in the storage bag that came with it. It’s not very intuitive and still not sure they are in the right slots. All the items in the set don’t seem to go into the storage bag. Not a huge deal but would be nice to have some diagram of where each knife goes in that bag.

I have a scan pan knives set, though with this New set, which is exceptionally fantastic made and cuts and slices to perfection than what my scan pan does. Slicing onions with ease, with scan pan it was not, though it went little blunt after use, I sharpen it. With scan pan was having problems sharpening. This is ideal and made with perfection, I bought a knives slot as well, though they dont all fit, though I placed the knives of my choice that I would use. If there is a deal on this take it you wont be disappointed.. :)
