I got this for my Sony 7C and it's a nice addition to make it a little easier to handle. I went from a Canon system to my first mirrorless and noticed since it was so much smaller, it wasn't as easy to feel like I had a good hold on the new camera. This helped solve it. I got the silver version so it matched my camera perfectly. Well made, would recommend to anyone looking to add a little stability while holding.

Love it on my A7CII. Gives your thumb somewhere to rest and helps to handle the camera better. Matches well with the silver color on the A7CII.

To me, this small invention is well worth it and I consider this to be essential for comfort. It does present some downsides. External flash won't work so this item must be removed. I do enjoy the cold shoe on top so I can attach a mic and mobile phone mount. Well done!

It's a good product and I am a fan of SmallRig. The description says "It does not interfere with the camera's hot shoe interface." Of course it does! That statement seems misleading as it completely covers the hot shoe interface and makes it unusable. The SmallRig thumb grip fits snugly into the hot shoe and seems to protect the interface so it is well designed and functional. Just don't think you can use the SmallRig thumb grip and the hot shoe interface at the same time.

Makes my Sony a6799 very comfortable for my hands, nice leather texture.

Totally changed the game! This product is awesome super cheap and honestly looks pretty cool on my camera too. Super comfortable and easy to use!

I was debating about which accessory I wanted for my A7CII - the thumb grip, or the eye piece, since most of the options don't allow you to use both since they use the hotshoe. Well, Smallgrip not only made this beauty that has a coldshoe on top so you can at least still attach something like a video light or other accessory (no hotshoe extension, unfortunately, which I would happily pay for), but also an eye piece that attaches to the body instead. Amazon literally dropped these off 10 minutes ago, so no idea how well these will hold up, but so far, zero wiggle on either piece. Coupled with the baseplate with wood grip, these accessories completely upgraded the ergonomics of the camera (admittedly at the expense of a little extra weight and fiddliness). Just became a very big Smallrig fan.

It's simple but brilliant. I like how you don't have to screw in a nut and the rubber underneath holds the grip firm in place. I don't think it's a "must" item but certainly nice to have. I have small hands so ergonomics really wasn't a problem for me to begin with.

Excellent produit. Il facilite grandement la prise en main d'un A7c* tout en ne prenant au final presque pas de place dans la sacoche. Mais il rend tout de même plus difficile l'accès à la molette de réglage de droite. Logique en soi...sinon rien à dire. Belle qualité de fabrication, bien que ce ne soit pas donné pour un petit bout d'alu.

Silver colour matches perfectly with the silver top A7Cii. Great simple & cost effective grip upgrade to make holding the camera feel more comfortable.
