Not really designed for Champlain bottles.
Ok, from the top, here is what I found with this unit:1. Nice design that was made to accommodate normal size bottles of wine in the middle two spaces. Large bottles, such as Champaign bottles are too large in diameter for the middle two bottle positions and you can only put one on the bottom location. You can fit 5 bottles of wine in if you put in three Champaign bottles and two regular wine bottles. Not six bottles. You can only fit 6 bottles if they are regular size bottle on the middle and bottom shelf and then whatever mix you want for the top shelf. So, it works ok as long as you know that is what you have.2. Even though this is a deep unit, Champaign bottles do fit!!! Nothing much longer would work, but they fit just fine. So, if you have one of those odd 750ml bottles of wine that is slightly longer, they should fit as well.3. One of the things not mentioned is the fact that the company is using cyclopentane for the blowing agent for insulation. This gas is much more earth friendly than standard blowing gassed used to creat insulation. The insulation is actually more efficient due to better air cell creation in the foam. As for how much better it is, the industry lists this product as being a 10 on their scale for ozone creation and normal blowing methods as ranging from 900 to 1800. The bigger the number the worse it is for the environment.4. The controls on this are very easy. Wine stays chilled and the temperature is even as long as you are not opening and closing the unit all the time. This uses a linear refrigeration process much like LG refrigerators use. So, low energy use and quiet. Maximum power that this unit draws is 50 watts. Follow directions for how to setup the unit. If your unit arrived like mine did sideways instead of right side up. Place it in the normal position for operation and let it set for 24 hours before running.5. The blue light at the bottom of the unit inside it lights up the inside very well and looks cool!!There is a lot to like in this unit as long as you understand what you are buying and do not expect it to do something it was not designed for. 46 degrees is about the lowest you can set it for. The recommended temperature to store white wines is actually 55 degrees which is well inside of what this will do.I would recommend this unit if you have need for such! Makes a great unit for a motorhome as it is a very low power draw and does not take much space. This of course presumes that your trailer or motorhome has 120V when running on battery.

A Chilled Odyssey: A Review of the Mojgar 6 Bottle Wine Cooler
In America, we have been taught about the allure of a perfectly chilled beverage! My quest for optimal refreshment recently led me to the Mojgar 6 Bottle Wine Cooler – a valiant contender in the fight against lukewarm libations. As a connoisseur of fizzy delights (soda pop, in layman's terms), I embarked on a scientific expedition to test its cooling prowess. The Physics of the Chill: Armed with the knowledge that aluminum conducts temperatures like a champion fencer, I loaded the cooler with my aluminum-clad pop cans. The user manual, a worthy companion on this journey, advised a one-hour pre-chilling phase for the chamber, followed by an additional one to two hours for the beverages themselves to reach the desired temperature. Fueled by anticipation, I set the dial to the frostiest setting – a crisp 46 degrees. The Great Cooling Quest: The initial chill down to 65 degrees took a respectable four hours, a testament to the determined spirit of the thermoelectric engine within. However, the descent to 63 degrees proved to be a more arduous climb, consuming an additional two hours. Here, the laws of physics began to assert themselves. As predicted, the rate of temperature decrease slowed dramatically. Extrapolating this data suggested a chilling odyssey of 10-12 hours in addition the the previous six to reach the promised land of 46 degrees. The Efficiency Equation: While the Mojgar aspired to be a valiant knight, its thermoelectric heart limited its power output. Compared to its 70-100 watt compressor brethren, the 50-watt Mojgar exhibited a more measured approach. This also manifested in its limited temperature range. Unlike some coolers that boast champagne-like coolness, the Mojgar's magic only extended to around 50 degrees Fahrenheit. For those seeking a truly arctic embrace for their beverages, this may be a cause for concern. Furthermore, the manual advised against using it in environments exceeding 80 degrees Fahrenheit, a constraint imposed by the Peltier device, the tireless worker behind the scenes.A Niche Triumph: Despite these limitations, the Mojgar emerges victorious for those with specific needs. For those residing in climatically controlled environments seeking a personal cooler for a small wine collection, the Mojgar delivers. The adjustable shelves and user-friendly digital display ensure easy customization and temperature control. The double-paned glass door, a testament to both form and function, protects your beverages from harmful UV rays while showcasing them in subtle glory. The quiet operation ensures a peaceful journey towards chilled refreshment. The Verdict: A Cool Companion for the Discerning Beverage CuratorThe Mojgar 6 Bottle Wine Cooler is a worthy companion for those seeking a thermoelectric solution for their personal beverage needs. While its limitations in raw cooling power and temperature range may dissuade some, its user-friendly design, efficient operation, and attractive form make it a compelling choice for those with a specific niche to fill. For those seeking to embark on a grand expedition into the sub-arctic depths, a more powerful compressor-driven cooler may be necessary.
