OK TAPE Synthetic Kinesiology Tape Prime 1 Roll, 2in×16.4ft-Beige

(NOTE: Skip down past the 2nd paragraph to see my suggested TIPS) I'M EXTREMELY SENSITIVE TO ADHESIVES to the point of getting blisters from certain adhesives but this OK TAPE DID NOT CAUSE BLISTERS OR REDNESS on my skin the way plastic bandages do. I have some tips for those who were getting blisters and/or unable to get the adhesive off their skin after removing the tape. I recommend watching some YouTube videos that demonstrate how to apply it and how much you should stretch it and in which areas to stretch it because you're not supposed to stretch the entire strip of tape for bunions. There's a couple ways to apply it but the easiest way I found was to use a single strip of appropriate length, cut down the middle to get a split section that will wrap around the big toe from opposite directions. In other words the big toe goes in the tape's split and the rest is applied to the inside of the foot. You only stretch a designated portion of it at the big toe and bunion and the rest from the arch to heel is not stretched. I found and followed YouTube video instructions and didn't over stretch the tape and I had absolutely no issues. OK TAPE IS BETTER THAN OKAY! IT'S MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE THAN ANY OF THE BRACES I'VE PURCHASED FOR MY BUNION! I highly recommend giving this product a try. It's definitely more economical than other name brands, it stayed on until I removed it 3 days later, and it was VERY COMFORTABLE! * * * TIP #1 - to easily remove adhesive residue, apply generous amounts of baby oil (or mineral oil which is what baby oil is made of) and let it saturate the glue. It should come off easily because the oil breaks it down. * * * TIP #2 - To ensure good adhesion, wash the skin clean and then wipe the skin with isopropyl alcohol (aka rubbing alcohol) to remove oil residue from the soap or cleanser. * * * TIP #3 - This is important for those who may be getting blisters and it may or may not remedy the problem but I think it will resolve blistering issues for some people. To prevent blisters, DO NOT STRETCH THE TAPE TOO TIGHT! If it's too tight it can cause blisters even if you don't have sensitive skin. ----- OK Tape is economical, of good quality, it was packaged well, arrived undamaged, and arrived on time. My 1st order was the Pink tape and I just now placed my 2nd order for the Blue tape. I highly recommend it! (Note: I seem to have misplaced my Pink OK Tape roll but I will post photos when I find it.)

Have been using K-Tape off & on for decades since I teach fitness classes and things get hurt sometimes. Found OK Tape on Amazon a few years ago and am very impressed with value and durability. I love the variety of colors and buy double rolls to measure and cut to fit my needs. I apply it myself and have lots of practice: this tape is less rigid and easy to apply. I can often wear thru several showers (trimming ends as they lift and using a cool blow dryer to keep tape anchored). I have had more issues with it being stuck on too well rather than lifting, but it rarely lifts off when I’m sweating. I consider that a Win. For removal from sensitive skin take a warm shower, use a warm blow dryer or rub baby oil (olive oil or PAM cooking spray) to soften adhesive.

This is recommended by my physical therapist, very easy to use, good quality. Stretch really well and stick together, even when it got a little wet, helps with my stranded wrist.

Read a number of reviews with people complaining about rashes and residue after peeling the tape. Every individual's experience is different, and I did have concerns based on some of the negative/average reviews. I do have sensitive skin and will get rashes after long usage of surgical tapes or pain patches. My legs are hairy (as pictured) and I have normal to dry skin on my legs. I started taping my knee for soccer since I'm playing more often. I went with the red colored tape, since someone had reviewed the red to be better at staying in place than the beige (I bought the beige tape also but haven't tried it). I taped my knee based on the video they had posted for taping the knee (two V-shaped strips/take a strip and cut it in the middle, plus supporting strips at the ends; I did cut/trimmed the corners to be rounded). I taped on Saturday morning, played soccer and took a shower a few hours later. The tape started to peel off my skin in some areas. I had to go to an early dinner Saturday, so I decided to test the tapes by wearing Jeans (Levi's 505). I was seated mostly; the dinner was about 3 hours. There was more peeling due to the jeans. Not a fair test but needed to see what would happen if I ever needed to do such a thing. Sunday morning picture (on the carpeted stairs) included along with 2 pictures after the Sunday game. Tape came off rather easily without leaving any residue or pulling my hair out. Support for the knee was okay; I'll probably switch to a different style of taping to support the patella. I didn't get a rash after one use, usually my rash comes on after multiple long term uses at the same area (red, itchy and scaly skin). Based on my experience, for single day/event usage this tape works for me. The tape does start to peel after use (due to humidity, sweat and wet grass) and shower. I don't plan on using skin cleansers to clean my leg prior to applying the tape every time, shave my legs or wear the tape for more than 28 hours max (if I do a Saturday and Sunday game), so I can't say too much about long term use of the tape. If it hadn't peeled, I would have given it a higher rating!!

I use this for mouth tape when I sleep. It's WAY cheaper than the pre-cut mouth tape on the market. I just measure out the length I need. I don't like not having the ability to talk or get a drink when wearing mouth tape. Makes me feel a bit claustrophobic. So I use a rotary cutter for fabric (my mom sews a lot) to cut a small slit in the middle for my mouth. I saw other reviews that said the tape doesn't stick, and I don't agree at all! Of course, if you put any kind of lotion or cream on your face/mouth before you put it on, it's going to affect that. But otherwise, this stuff STICKS!!!! Be careful when removing it. I've found that getting it wet can help if it sticks too much. Also, I'm female, so not sure if this would be comfortable for men with facial hair. I've purchased this several times, and I can get about 70-75 mouth strips from 1 roll. WAY better price point than the pre-cut mouth tape you can buy. Just takes a few minutes to cut the strips to your liking. Highly recommend!

This is a near perfect dupe for the big brand version my Physical Therapist uses. For half the price. I mostly use it on my feet and it's lasted several days, even through showers. Others I've tried (both cheaper and more expensive) can't make the same claim. The adhesive doesn't irritate my skin. Easy to cut with no fraying. As long as this stays affordable I will keep buying!

"Not so sticky" might also be a compliment, depending on your POV. Some users of this kind of tape have real trouble getting it off. Particularly, say, if they only want to wear it during an exercise session. For me, when I'm using it for Plantar's Fasciitis, I'm going to keep it on for hopefully 3-4 days, which means even asking it to stay stuck during and after a shower, until I'm ready to change it out. That hope works out better with some brands than others. With this OK Tape, I'm finding that even with careful application and rubbbing on the tape to enhance the stick, and even with very clean, dry skin, I can wake up the next morning after application and find it already peeling off. That's even without any sweating or exertion to speak of, so I'll look for another brand next time. Too bad, I like the grid on the adhesive side that helps with cutting to size, and I like the bright colors. But again, this might be just the thing for someone with very delicate skin or a need to frequently apply and remove kinesiology tape.

Great tape for bad knees! This tape works great for support and gentle adhesive. So mant k-tapes tear the skin when removing even if you use an entire bottle of lotion.

I’ve been really impressed with this kinesiology tape. I bought it mainly for shoulder and knee support during workouts, and it has worked brilliantly. The tape provides excellent support without restricting movement, which is exactly what I needed for exercise and day-to-day activities. It sticks well and stays in place even during sweaty sessions, but it also removes without causing too much discomfort. The material feels comfortable on the skin and doesn’t cause irritation. I’ve used it for both muscle strain relief and added joint support, and it has definitely helped. A great product for anyone dealing with sports injuries, gym recovery, or needing extra stability while staying active.
