The Govee Curtain Lights 2 completely exceeded my expectations. The brightness, clarity, and color accuracy from the 1040 LEDs are incredible — far better than any curtain‑style lights I’ve used before. The RGBIC effects are smooth, vibrant, and genuinely eye‑catching, whether I’m using them for everyday ambiance or special events. The standout feature for me is the DIY GIF/AIGC capability. Being able to upload custom animations or create my own designs takes personalization to a whole new level. It’s surprisingly easy to use, and the results look amazing. Friends always ask how I got such unique lighting effects. Setup was quick, and the app control is intuitive. The lights respond instantly to changes, and the music sync mode is a fun bonus that adds energy to parties or gaming sessions. The build quality also feels solid — nothing flimsy or cheap. These lights completely changed the way we celebrate Christmas. They’re incredibly versatile and can also be used for other occasions, such as Halloween. They were very easy to install, the brightness is excellent, and the effects look amazing. The Govee app is very user-friendly and makes it simple to customize and control everything. I absolutely love the Govee x The Wild Robot Curtain Lights 2—they're honestly one of the coolest things I've ever added to my space. The lights are super vibrant and detailed thanks to the 520 LED beads, and the animations are so smooth. I wasn’t sure what to expect with the whole GIF display, but it’s amazing how clear and fun the visuals are. One of my favorite parts is how customizable they are. There’s this DIY feature where you can create your own animations or upload images and GIFs—it’s so much fun to play around with! Whether it’s for a party or just to match my mood, I can always find (or create) something that fits perfectly. The AI feature is also really cool. You can chat with the Govee AI bot and come up with unique lighting effects based on whatever theme or idea you want. I’ve made some wild designs just for fun, and it’s so easy to do. There are also a ton of preset scenes and music modes. I love how the lights sync up with music—it’s perfect for setting a vibe during a party or even just chilling at home. On top of all that, the smart control makes life so easy. I can adjust everything with the app or just ask Alexa to change the lights for me. No hassle at all. What really impressed me is how versatile they are. They’re available in different sizes and even work outside because they’re waterproof. I’ve used them for both indoor decorating and outdoor setups, and they look incredible everywhere. If you’re thinking about getting these, do it. They’re fun, creative, and seriously next-level for anyone who loves cool lighting.

Got this a couple of weeks before Halloween this year and put it out front as part of our display. So many fun animations and not hard to make your own. It's bright enough to see in day light and has to have brightness turned down after dark. So it works for nearly anything except sunny/direct sunlight. Problem is after only 2 weeks one of the lights stuck red always on. Even after resetting the unit the one light was always on even when unit turned off. This lasted for several days until it went off and now that one light no longer has red. It will light the other colors, but the red is dead. For this price it should last more than a couple of weeks. I have quite a few Govee lights, but I won't be buying more of these for my other windows. EDIT: Raising to 4 stars because I received a purely no hassle refund and that says a lot about a brand. This space is growing rapidly and I expect some level of early defect/breakage on products. As long as a company stands up for those products and does the right thing it is a risk I will still take. As I said, I have quite a few other Govee products. I have had some of their inside lights for several years without any major issues. Only one sting of LED's that for some reason is slow to respond to commands, but that's it. I also have some other outside stuff that I have not had long enough to claim victory on, but so far so good. I will probably hold off on these tear drop products (Curtain, net, and icicle) for now and see how they improve/perform over the next year or two before revisiting them, but they are fun to play with. YMMV

After a year of using this product through different seasons Ive only become a bigger fan To start this product is really easy to setup. No technical skills required, Govee team did a really good job of ensuring that. Connecting through the app can be done with Bluetooth or wifi making it easy to control from anywhere The app is filled with different options and customizations for your curtains once theyre setup as well. You can update the design in a few button taps via the Govee mobile app. Worth mentioning the Govee App has a bunch of templates or default options too which are fun to pick up and use right away Automation fan? The Goveee app has some solid automation options however here I think the Govee team can make it a bit simpler for users to get exactly what they want. Nothing crazy not 100% easy. As long as Ive had this and the hundreds of hours they've been on, theres so far been no bulb issues with the LEDs so I'd say everything is pretty durable. Ive only tried to use indoors so will make sure thats stated too Will mention theres two routes to hanging and I chose the adhesive route and its worked out flawlessly without any adhesive issues so there's that too. My cat has even gone through them (like a toy almost) and they've had again no issues If you want a review on outside setting- like this review and I'll give it a try (I have 2 sets!)

Although these lights are good, I decided to go with Govee Curtain Lights Pro with the 960 lights.

So I did a ton of research on lighting the outside of my home for holidays and just for everyday use. I explored a few different brands but kept coming back to Govee. I felt like they were the brand that specializes in what my needs were. Well I ordered a few lights to get started including this curtain light. Well,it was the first package to arrive and I opened it and started to read the directions. I am very tech savvy so I knew the first step of testing the lights was very important before installing them. Plugged them together tighning the water proof seals and then plugged power into outlet. Nothing happened, so I pressed the power button once again on the controller and still nothing. What is very strange is that I was able to connect the lights to my Govee account and pair them with no problem at all. They respond in the app as far as showing me brightness, type of lights and so on, but the lights never turned on once. As you can tell, I was VERY disappointed because of my wasted time researching and wasted time going through this return process. My plan was to buy the 200 ft pro lights and install them on my house and also buy a bunch of other Govee lights to setup before Halloween. Well I just deleted my Amazon cart with over $1000 of Govee lights that I was excited to get because of this problem. I hope that Govee contacts me and tries to make this right because I heard and read many great things about their products. Hope this helps someone who is thinking about dropping a large amount of money on lighting like I was. Try one product first before buying everything at once. If they respond and help me fix this issue I will be happy to give them another chance and change my review rating. Until then, I will consider a different company for my lighting needs.

The Govee Curtain Lights 2 have become one of my absolute favorite decorations — I love these lights! I originally bought them just for Christmas, but they’ve quickly turned into my go-to for everything: birthday parties, Halloween decorations, and even a Christmas camping trip. They’re that versatile! The lights are super bright and look amazing whether they’re indoors or outside. Because I already own other Govee products, they sync perfectly and the effects look so cool together. The animations and colors make every setup feel magical. Friends and neighbors have actually called my house the best decorated on the block — and honestly, I believe it’s because of these lights. They’re totally worth the money, incredibly fun to use, and make every occasion feel extra special. I’m obsessed. Highly recommend!

Ces rideaux à DEL sont tout simplement superbes ! Les couleurs sont vives, les effets lumineux variés et personnalisables depuis l’application sont impressionnants. L’installation est facile et la connexion à l’application Govee se fait sans problème. Ils transforment complètement l’ambiance d’une pièce, que ce soit pour une déco cosy ou festive. Excellente qualité et très bon rapport qualité-prix — je les adore !

Missing hanging hardware. The manufacturer did not have stock of the hanging hardware. Ordered another one from Govee directly and it had the hardware. Support needs to be better and they need to sell accessories for hanging. If you are thinking or removing and installing then you need 3M strips for a reinstall after the season. Brighter than the older version but is lacking a lot of DIY scenes unlike the previous versions that allowed splicing. Hopefully in time it gets better. Need a tablet format app. Only mobile app is available. I have fat fingers so difficult to make the DIY scenes unless you have a stylus. The big difference is that the scene load faster than the old version. I have a lot of Govee products (like 100 min) and this is one of the best items they have. A good buy Docked the star because of the missing hardware.
