I have a fair amount of watches between the $1k - $4k range. While this brand may not have heritage or pedigree in the name, it more than makes up for it in quality. Are you getting high end luxury timepiece quality? No. Are you getting a great looking, great build watch for a relatively great price? Yes. Weight feels solid in the wrist. Tells time as most people meed

The San Martin 0017 has exceeded my expectations in several key areas. The bezel alignment is absolutely perfect — something you don’t always see at this price point. The bracelet is excellent; it feels solid and premium on the wrist. I was also pleasantly surprised by the cyclops magnification. It’s effective without being overdone, which keeps the dial looking clean and legible. A couple of minor cons: Some of the case edges are a little sharp, but they don’t cause any discomfort during wear. The watch came in a Pelican-style case instead of the nicer presentation box often seen in YouTube reviews. This seems to vary by seller and isn’t a major issue, just something to be aware of. Overall, I’m very happy to have added this piece to my collection. It offers incredible value and impressive quality for the price.

I had read and watched all the online reviews about the quality of San Martin and decided to try one of their watches. I must say all the accolades are not hype. This is an excellent watch! Irregardless of it being an homage to probably the most recognized watch in the world it can stand on its own merits. Construction, fit, finish are on a par with watches costing many hundreds more. I have an original GMT and side by side the SM is quite lovely. No it's not a Rolex, but then again their prices have gone through the roof. I also have Steedive and Addisdive watches and the SM is noticeably better quality. Additionally I also own several Victorionox and DOXA watches and this SM is a very competent rival. The Seiko NH35 is a solid movement easily serviced by any competent watch maker and mine maintains a measured +1.2 Seconds a Day accuracy which actually is well within COSC chronometer standards. One note if you do need to resize the band SM uses a system of a pin inside a sleeve. My watch came with a pin pusher, not the greatest but it would do the job. Mine also came with the standard clasp however, the SM website says they are now shipping the Black face with their new Fly Adjustable clasp which would have been nice. If I every decide to swap those are available from SM. As several reviews state it is an impressive watch for the money no matter where it comes from.

San Martin just delivers in terms of value. My example runs at about +5 seconds a day, and has taken some abuse just fine. The Lume in nice a bright, almost with a bluish color to it. The finishing is quite nice everything lines up perfectly. The edges of both the case and the bracelet are a bit sharp. Enough so to dig into my wrist. That's my only knock on it.
