Excellent Basic Kit
Excellent both for beginner-level drummers and casual drummers. Responsiveness: - The mesh heads are definitely responsive and feel very close to an acoustic set - The cymbals are good. I still find myself fiddling with the sensitivity to get them where I want them. They're about as close as they can get. But its just really hard to compare these with real cymbals. - You may want to adjust the rim sensitivity - especially if you map non-standard sounds (eg cowbell, splash) rather than rim clicks Customizability: - This kit is super adjustable. I (6' 190lbs) can comfortably play with plenty of room to spare. I can adjust the height and tom position so that my little one can also play - Each pad, cymbal, and rim can also be customized - sensitivity, crosstalk (incidentally triggering a neighboring pad), etc can all be adjusted individually. And, of course, you can change the sound triggered by each pad, rim, and cymbal. Expansion: - The [Nitro Max Expansion Pack](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CJRGSWKX) is compatible with this unit WITH ONE CAVEAT: the clamps are a size that will not fit your frame. - I ended up grabbing one of [these](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0F2MN93D6) for the extension cymbal. And an "Alesis Surge 1.5 Inch Drum Rack Clamp" for the expansion tom (link for the product I purchased is now dead). - This is supposed to support a double kick, but I haven't yet invested much time in searching for one. The kick pad does seem to be (just) large enough to support it. Couple things to keep in mind - This is a simple, pretty basic kit. You don't have a huge array of cymbals, you've got two and a hi-hat. If you want to make more noise, map your tom rims (just keep in mind, accidental rim clicks may make your fills sound real weird). - These cymbals aren't real cymbals. You get one noise per cymbal. There is no bell for a sharp staccato note here and there. Hitting with the tip of your stick on the top of the cymbal sounds the same as giving it a wallop with the side of your stick. This may be my biggest gripe. But also totally expected and accounted for. Is it worth the money? Absolutely.

Everything you need to jam
I love it, the support rack is really good to make more room and adjust the heads. The module allows for a few more heads and cymbals if you end up expanding the set, i could see using one more crash to get a fresh hit. It comes with a good range of drum sounds. I particularly like the mesh heads, they have a lot better feel and response than hitting a rubber head. For example some good snare rolls. One thing i would improve is the cymbals are a little quiet, even playing softer i can hear the rubber click coming through my over ear studio headphones. There is the ability to adjust the volumes in module settings, but even turned up all the way they are still a bit quiet. The high hat and ride are decently responsive, i would recommend getting a second crash for more natural flow. I ended up doing the 1/4” output from the module to the DAW on my laptop, and then back out through the audio interface and a headphone amp and can get a lot more out of it than using the headphones jack on the module. It has a blue tooth so you can jam along with your favorite songs in the headphones. Overall for the price and despite a few shortcomings, this a good set up for the bedroom rock star like me lol. I love using it after work, set up some songs on the bluetooth and jam out. Haven't tried it live yet

You want pro equipment, without the cost? Get these! You won't be disappointed!
Man, that was fast!! Thanks for the speedy delivery Amazon, you rock! These drums are amazing! I'm not a beginner, but they would be perfect for one. The size is perfect, not to big not too small. Or, If anyone wants to play like the pros, these drums are perfect too! Also, The quality isn't sacrificed with the price. They sound just as good as the higher priced sets. Easy to setup, too! I had em' setup, less than 30. I am very pleased with everything about the Alesis Nitro Pro series. They have a really nice feel. The functionality is great. Really easy to setup & work the module. Thanks for an awesome product.

Great Set, horrible Bluetooth
Pros: - Great sound when you get the BFD Drums VST set-up. I am using Reaper and the sound and latency are wonderful. - Great hardware, the racking is very robust. - The mesh drum heads are a dream and allow you to roll with ease. Cons - The bluetooth quality is embarrassingly bad. They went with the cheapest codec and hardware possible and it is literally unusable. This wouldn't be such a big deal but they have it all the marketing material. The could have spent maybe 3-5 dollars more per kit and had usable BT but they didn't and man does it suck. - The input bypass sounds rough as well. It is better than the bluetooth but not by much. I'm not sure why this is the case. - The cymbals are the weakest and least responsive part of the kit. You can play with levels, velocity, and sensitivity, but they are still not as strong as the Toms. Overall, after all this said, for the use case of recording with Reaper, I recommend this kit.

Great e-kit for a newcomer to e-drums
Really great low ender middle e-kit to get started. I've played an acoustic kit for 20 years but needed something more compact, quiet (kiddos these days after bedtime), and easier to hook up for recording than micing and acoustic. Quite customizable and since I don't plan to make a career of it I don't believe I will ever need an upgrade so long as she holds out. Very sturdy and takes a beating (I was worried about the hardware being flimsy but it's not).

A Premier Kit for Beginners to last until Expert
All of my expectations for this kit have been surpassed. I purchased mine about 3 months ago, with the intention of teaching myself as a complete beginner. The mesh heads feel EXCELLENT. The response of the triggers is excellent. For me-- virtually indistinguishable from an acoustic kit. Comparable to much more expensive E-kits. The shells are gorgeous! I can't say enough positive about this kit. I have played it multiple hours daily since it arrived and I've just been falling more and more in love with it. Excellent purchase. The drum module has excellent functionality, although I found the preset kits to be a little "eh" I would have preferred heavier sounding kits but there is nothing to complain about-- there is a nice selection However, where this kit truly shines --- is connected to a DAW using a VST Drum Kit plugin. Absolute game changer. This is THE best midi controller available for the price point in this regard. PLUS the additional bonus of being able to add another Tom and Cymbal to the kit for a girl's of 4 toms and 3 cymbal pads. Truly one of the best pieces of musical equipment I've purchased. My ONLY big complaint is it seems sometimes under certain circumstances (hitting multiple drums at once) only a single trigger registers. It's usually with a snare and a Tom's rim sensor. I am confident in Alesis' customer service though. The best in the business. 10/10 would purchase again.

Surprisingly Powerful Kit
I’ve been using the Alesis Nitro Pro Electric Drum Set with Dual-Zone pads for a while now, and it’s honestly exceeded my expectations in almost every way. Whether you’re just starting out or getting back into drumming, this kit hits a really sweet spot between affordability and performance. The dual-zone snare is a standout feature—it adds a level of realism that you don’t usually get at this price point. Being able to trigger both the head and rim independently makes practice sessions feel much closer to playing on an acoustic kit. The mesh heads are another big win: they’re quiet, responsive, and feel great under the sticks.

Au top
Ravi de mon achat pour un cadeau, la surprise était totale et la batterie en elle même est top. La qualité est au rendez-vous, elle est très réactive et complète. Une magnifique alternative à une batterie acoustique.

Alesis Nitro Pro - good kit but........
Nice kit but very complicated to set up with the module. I downloaded the manual and it helps but trying to get the volume to an acceptable level is almost impossible. The max volume through the module is very poor, and for me to try and run the kit through an extension speaker, well you need to be an electronics geneious and have a fat wallet for the extra bits. The kit itself is fine , drums etc all okay once you take the time to go through the menu and sort things out. Excellent quality, easy assembly and looks good very professional

A good starter kit, but you may find it limited depending on your skill level
👍 What works well The mesh pads — including a 10″ dual-zone snare, three 8″ dual-zone toms, and an 8″ mesh kick pad — give a much more realistic feel and rebound than rubber pads, and are notably quieter, making this kit much more suitable for home practice. Dual-zone snare and tom pads (head + rim) let you do rim-shots and cross-sticks for greater expressivity. The included sound module — with 36 preset kits plus 16 user slots and over 500 sounds drawn from a high-quality sample library — offers a lot of sonic flexibility, covering many musical styles. Build and ergonomics: the steel rack is sturdy, adjustable, and stable. The kick-tower supports double pedals. Setup is straightforward, and the spacing and adjustability are good even for adult drummers. Extras: Bluetooth/Aux-in to jam along with music, USB/MIDI for recording or virtual instrument use, and built-in metronome/recorder/sequencer for practice or producing. 👎 Where it shows its limitations The cymbal pads are single-zone (usually no separate bell, edge, bow articulations), limiting realism and nuance compared with higher-end kits. Some users find certain onboard sounds (especially cymbals or certain drum patches) “only average” — fine for practice or home use, but likely not good enough for serious recording or live performance. For more advanced techniques (like expressive open/close hi-hat control, very dynamic cymbal work, or realistic double-bass pedal feel), the kit may feel somewhat limited — many drummers eventually outgrow it or upgrade to a higher-end electronic or acoustic set. The set doesn’t include a drum throne (seat) or headphones, so you’ll need to provide those separately. 🎯 Overall verdict For a home-use, practice, or entry-to-intermediate electric kit, the Alesis Nitro Pro offers excellent value: realistic mesh-pad feel, flexible sound options, and a stable, well-designed rack — all at a price point far below pro-level electronic kits. For beginners or intermediate drummers wanting to learn, practise quietly, jam, or record demos, it’s a very solid, all-round choice. However, if you aim for high-fidelity studio recordings, nuanced cymbal articulation, or pro-level performance, you should treat it as a mid-range kit — good, but with some compromises.
