"A Stylish and Grippy Case"
I recently got the Speck iPhone 16 Pro Max Case in the CandyShell Grip design (Blue/Faded Denim) for my new phone, and it’s been a solid protector overall. This case promises a secure grip and decent drop protection for the iPhone 16 Pro Max, and it mostly delivers on that front.Quality and Build:The case feels well-made, with a dual-layer design that combines a hard outer shell with a softer inner lining for shock absorption. The Blue/Faded Denim color scheme looks sleek, and the textured grip strips on the sides add a nice tactile feel. It fits my iPhone 16 Pro Max snugly, with precise cutouts for the buttons, ports, and camera. The build quality is impressive, though the glossy finish does attract some fingerprints.Performance:The grip is the standout feature here—it’s easy to hold, even with one hand, thanks to the raised rubber strips. I’ve dropped my phone a couple of times from low heights (about 3 feet), and the case protected it without a scratch. The buttons are responsive, and the case adds just enough bulk to feel protective without being cumbersome. It’s been great for daily use, keeping my phone safe from scuffs and minor bumps.Value for Money:For the price, this Speck case is a good deal. It’s not the cheapest option out there, but you’re paying for a trusted brand with a solid track record for protection. If you’re looking for a stylish, grippy case for your iPhone 16 Pro Max, this offers great value compared to other premium cases.Overall:The Speck iPhone 16 Pro Max CandyShell Grip Case is a reliable, stylish choice for protecting my phone, with excellent grip and decent drop protection. The slickness is a minor annoyance, but it doesn’t overshadow the overall quality. I’m happy with its performance and design—5 stars for functionality and style!

Burly case, feels good
This is a burly case that feels good in the hand. It is not grippy like silicon, but it has ridges and has enough texture to not feel slippery to me. It's not too heavy, but is substantial. Have always liked Speck cases. This color, white, quickly gets 'dirty' but that has not been an issue for me as I expected it would. Others might prefer a different color for that reason.I've noticed that a magnetic attachment I use is slightly less strong due to case thickness; but mag charging works fine.

Best protection for my phones
I can't hold on to the thin cell phones. I bought my first one years ago and every phone in my family has one of these on them. It's not as thick as other cases, so it easily fits in my purses. It's protected my phone from drops. It's easy to hold with the grip marks. Usually I've had multiple color choices in prior phone, but for the iPhone 16 there were only 3. Maybe because it's a newer phone. But I got the color I like. Great for it's price. And does a good job

Awful, Bring back the old materials used on previous case!
My old speck case which looks a lot like this new one I purchased was great. It had a glossy finish which was easy to swipe clean. It also had rubberized lines to prevent my iPhone from slipping out of my hand. This new case does not have the anti slip nubs so I had to add aftermarket grip tape to areas of the case.My case went from a pretty white to an almond/dirty looking color. You can see some areas that are still white, that’s where I had placed grip tape. Still trying to figure out how to restore it back to bright white :(Terrible, I’ll have to purchase a different brand.

Nice but slippery
Case is nice. I like the grips and it has an appropriate size opening on the side for camera button. Minus one star for being slippery. My previous Speck case was more of a rubber material. This one slides out of my hand or off the arm of couch too easily.

Buy It
I never leave reviews but felt like it was needed this time. I think Apple screwed up with the whole camera button on the 16’s but nothing we can do about that… however. It has made it challenging to find a decent case. I’ve had my 16 Pro for about 3 weeks and this is case #5… the Otterbox defender I didn’t even open after receiving it due to huge cut out leaving screen vulnerable. The Rokform was nice but bulky and didn’t work with the magnet mount I had very well and the bottom was weak and felt flimsy when pulling it out of my pocket. And then a couple lower end nice but not good ones all seeming to have issues with buttons or the camera button protection. I’ve used Speck for probably 10 years or more but some of the reviews had me scared to try it. Well I decided let’s try it anyway because of past success I’ve had with them. Got it today. Perfect fit, MagSafe works great for in car mount and for accessories on back of case when needed. Very sturdy case. I got the white and love it. Staying with Speck.

Great case for someone who drops things a lot.
I had a Speck case for my previous iphone, and it was still in mint condition even without a screen protector. I upgraded phones, and this new case is great too. It's missing the rubbery grippy lines that filled in the ridges, as some have commented. Even without that, the ridges on this grip well. I drop things a lot, and this phone is bigger and heavier. I feel this will protect my investment.I wish it hugged the camera lenses a little closer. Unlike the SE, the lenses on the new iphone are raised quite a bit.I love Speck cases.

Good case and works with ssd
I bought a portable Lexar pro ssd and hub that plugs into my phone(s) usb c port. I have a iPhone 16 pro max and a Samsung S25 Ultra. Most magsafe cases did not work with the Lexar ssd because the case was too thick.I had Speck cases on my old phones and they worked perfectly. So, I tried new Speck cases for both phones and the Lexar ssd and hub fit into the usb c perfectly. The idea was to add a ssd to the phone for large size images and videos. The ssd will not plug directly into the phone. You need a connector see photo.LEXAR supplies a couple u shaped usb c connectors that do plug right in.This allows the ssd and hub to fit flat on the back if the phone(s)
