Beelink EQi13 Mini PC, i5 13420H 24G+1TB SSD Dual 1000M LAN/WiFi 6/BT5.2

I'm a musician and I use my computers for notation as well as Digital Audio Workstation software. I also want to be able to work in different locations. Thus laptops seem the best option for me, and my main computer has been a laptop. However, especially for DAW software, a large quantity of RAM is necessary as well as a large quantity of hard-disk space is required. I have not found a laptop which has more than 32GB ram or more than 2TB of SSD disk space. And for audio use the speed of SSD is required for best results. These days most laptops are not user-configurable nor user-upgradable, so I've had to make do. This Beelink SEi14 mini-PC is my answer! I have had an older Beelink which I had bought several years ago to power a drawing tablet but it's underpowered for music, thus I have moved on to this Beelink SEi14, with a very fast, powerful processor and expandable RAM up to 96GB and two internal SSD slots. While Beelink sells models with 96GB ram (not through Amazon) they come with two 1TB SSDs which are configured as a single storage space, making it hard to remove one to replace with larger capacity. Which is why this is such a great unit -- I have 96GB of RAM to install, which comes as two 48GB cards which will slip into the two internal RAM slots where the current two 16GB RAM cards are. And with only a single 1TB SSD in one of the slots, I am using a 4TB SSD in the other slot, which is my D: drive. So all my programs will live on the 1TB original SSD drive and all my audio files will live on the 4TB D: drive. Opening the case to make the upgrades is not obvious until you realize there are 4 screws holding the back plate on. Those screws are hidden behind tiny rubber inserts which match the color of the bottom cover. Removing those rubber inserts reveals the small phillips-head screws. When removing these be sure to put them in a small dish so you don't lose them! There is a nice pull-tab to remove the bottom cover once the screws are out and that reveals a black metal grate which gathers dust that gets sucked in by the cooling fan (which is very quiet!) and it has a sticker reminding us to occasionally clean the dust off of that. A couple more screws need to be removed to get at the insides where the RAM is located and the two SSD slots are located. There is a huge heat sink covering the SSD slots so a couple more screws need to be removed. Luckily this sort of deep-diving is not something that everybody will need to do because as it comes with 32GB of ram and 1TB SSD, it is more than enough for non-musicians and non-artists to use as a regular desktop computer. It comes with Windows11 pre-installed. Obviously you will need a screen to use this -- I have two options which I use (sometimes I use both together!): I have an XP-Pen Artist Pro 13.3" drawing table which is essentially a monitor that I can draw on. And I also have a CapeRave portable monitor. The XP-Pen comes with an HDMI AND USB cable combination -- the HDMI for the video feed and the USB cable for power as well as data transfer (use the black USB cable). The CapeRave (non-touchscreen) monitor can be hooked up with a single USB-C cable to the USB-C/Firelink port on the rear and that provides the power as well as the video feed. I just moved up from an HD CapeRave monitor to a 4K monitor and this Beelink works excellently with all my display possibilities. Sometimes I'll hook up both the XP-Pen and the CapeRave monitor and use the "extend desktop" setting so my drawing can all be done on the XP-Pen Artist Pro while the CapeRave monitor will allow other apps to run concurrently. Very versatile -- the BeeLink has connections and capability for THREE monitors to be attached and working at once! I am very happy with this BeeLink computer! With a portable monitor this slips into a computer brief-case very easily to move from location to location as long as there is AC power wherever you go. I have figured out how to use a battery pack to make this truly portable to any location but BeeLink DOES NOT ADVISE people to do this so I won't go into details. The build of this is solid, the size is amazingly small for how powerful it is -- if I could give it six stars I would!

Computer is working great, shipped fast

I purchased a system with a configuration that is no longer offered from Amazon. It was offered as the EQi13, and it came with 32gb RAM and 1tb SSD, and i7 processor. I’ve only had it less than a month, but it’s so far been an excellent product. I did set it up as a local admin and not the remote login to Microsoft as was recommended by another review I read. And the result has so far been extremely minimal without MS bloatware. It did have to reinstall the entire Windows 11 O/S after some initial updates, but it was automatically done on its own. I may have been the cause of that, but in any case it updated everything just fine and continues to just fine. Everything including driver updates. It is really quiet, so quiet I had to hold it next to my face to even tell if the fan was on and then I just felt the air movement, not hearing the fan. So far I’ve not really stressed it either but it’s stayed room temperature, not hot or even warm to the touch. It’s really small; my first Mini-PC so it was really interesting to see. My last full size computer was a tower. My reasons for buying it was for a Plex server, to run some brokerage trading software as well as dual Linux boot. Still have to install the last. Seems like a great machine so far after a month of light use. I guess we will see in a year or so. Oh, and it’s completely made in China, but then what computer isn’t these days. And no interaction with customer support at this point so nothing to report about that.

To say I'm disappointed in Beelink is an understatement. The mini PC completely failed after three months, and was returned per Beelink support instructions. They haven't issued a replacement, they haven't contacted me about a replacement, and it doesn't look like they are going to honor their very own warranty and they have not returned the defective computer. I should have paid more attention to the reviews for this company and made a better purchase. I am disappointed that Amazon deals with a company that does not support its own product. Don't make the same mistake I made, deal with a reputable company that stands behind their product! I was told that on February 24th my order would be prioritized but I've yet to be contacted and my emails have gone unanswered. I sure wish I had gone a different direction...

This is the closest Windows version of a Mac Mini M4 that is fully decked! The setup and updates went smoothly and while going through that process and even playing graphics intensive games. It is extremely quiet and everything looks just as high quality as a Mac mini. There's a video of how they put these together in YouTube and it's amazing the amount of work it goes into them. I got the 64GB version with 2TB (it includes two 1TB SSD cards) and Intel Ultra 9 185H CPU. The fingerprint reader works great each time you log on without entering a password. I paired this with the Beelink XP docking station and an MSI 5060Ti 16GB video card for a great combination to handle all graphics intensive applications and being able to play AAA games in 4K. It's just as powerful (if not slightly better) than my year-old full desktop PC with a 4070 card and i9 processor. It has a small footprint on the desk and provides all the performance and speed one can ask for. Beelink support is also great and they respond to questions within 24 hours as well as providing all the latest BIOS and driver updates on their website. I would highly recommend this mini PC with the EX docking station.

8/2025 Update: I bought a SECOND to replace yet another W10. CAUTION: Do NOT connect to the Internet when initiating at first or else you cannot create a local Admin! If you attach the Internet from the get-go, it forces you to use a MicroSoft Account. The paper instructions make no mention of this! In July, I wrote: This EQi has W11 and Edge installed but otherwise a BARE machine (no bloat ware). To become useful, I added Norton 360, Chrome, RevoUninstall, Acrobat Reader (which loads McAfee (ack!)- which I immediately uninstalled), Notepad+, Paint.Net, etc. I was quite dubious until a friend bought one. I am an old-school tower guy building my own PCs since 1983 ... but this miniPC has turned the entire PC world into a consumable with the whisper fan being the SOLE moving part (not even aware it is running). You need an HDMI monitor (or two). CAUTION: Leaving USB thumb drives in for 30 minutes will heat up thumb drive (Use only for porting files in/out of the miniPC). So far, VERY impressed after full day of preparing it to replace an old W10 tower.

Works as good as a desktop workstation in much smaller footprint

We have bought these in the past and needed to upgrade. We bought this for the higher storage. These are fast and inexpensive. Great price

No tienen manual en español y el inglés técnico que manejan es confuso, no claro respecto a los drivers y actualización de firmware si es que decides formatear tu dico duro. La página de descarga es enredada, no explica con claridad el modelo y es facil equivocarte y descargar modelos similares que no tienen las caracteristicas de tu equipo. 3. En cuestión de garantías, después del mes Amazon se desentiende totalmente, ni sugerencias ni recomendaciones ni nada; estas solo y tienes que tratar por correo con agentes de China en íngles. No hay canal ni asistentes de comunicación en español. 4. Aunque te contestan rápido. No te ofrecen guía de devolución, después de negociar te ofrecen hasta 100 dolares para el pago del envio que supuestamente te depositan en paypal cuando tengan tu equipo. Te indican que cuando reciban el producto te avisan y que te enviaran uno de reposición. 5. Después de un mes y medio de revisar el transito del equipo, China Post infoma que entrego el paquete hace mas de 21 días y si tu no insistes NO TE AVISAN, cuando lo contactas TAMPOCO TE ENVIAN REPOSICIÓN y NO PAGAN LOS 100 DOLARES que ellos mismos ofrecieron. 6. En síntesis. NO COMPRES EQUIPOS CHINOS, NO VALE LA PENA EL 20% de ahorro respecto a una marca reconocida como DELL, LENOVO o HP. Sí decides comprar, adquiere un seguro de al menos 2 años de amazon. Si haces cuentas el costo sera similar cuando adquieras un equipo de línea.

Fallo a los 2 meses lo tuve que mandar a reparar con costos de envío y despues a su regreso pagos de importación aunque la empresa declaró importe mas pequeño de su valor te cobran 75 usd por entregarlo
