Not fully compatible with Echo Show 8 Battery Base
I ordered this adapter because it is supposed to be compatible with the Mission brand battery base for the Echo Show 8. My puppy chewed up the adapter that came with the base, so I needed to replace it. On the one hand, yes, it does power on the Echo Show 8. However, the construction of the adapter seems flimsy, and that doesn't even touch the performance issues: This adapter is meant to power and charge the battery base for the Echo Show 8, so that it can be used wirelessly. Unfortunately, while the Show does power on, the battery base never actually charges. So, if you unplug the base, instead of pulling power from the battery base, the Show shuts off. While that's annoying and a bit inconvenient, that isn't the worst part! Now, for whatever reason, any time I have the volume on the Show too high, or there's too much base in the output, the darn thing just shuts off! Never did that with the original power adapter. It's horribly inconvenient because I can't turn the volume above 4-5. The speakers are so good on the Show 8, and this used to be my family's choice of speaker for music. Not any more... I don't know what you might be buying this adapter for, but keep it away from your Echo Show 8 battery base.

Cannot hold the load described. Cheap!
Bought the exact same adapter as I have in use. Plug it in to the same LED lights and it cannot support the load. LEDs start blinking & the transformer is super hot to the touch. I chalk up to poor Chinese quality. Buyer beware
