I absolutely loved using Dune Suncare’s The Golden Guard on my recent trip to the Caribbean! As someone with fair skin, I’m always cautious about sun protection, and this SPF 30 formula worked beautifully. I was outdoors all week and didn’t get too much sun at all. It’s lightweight, not sticky, and has a light, pleasant aroma that made reapplying it a breeze. I also appreciate how gentle it feels on the skin—no irritation or heaviness like with some other sunscreens.One of the things I love most about The Golden Guard is its gorgeous golden-brown color—it gives your skin a beautiful shimmer that looks great in the sun. Plus, it’s thoughtfully made with reef-safe ingredients, which is incredibly important to me when I’m traveling to ocean destinations. It’s clear that a lot of care went into creating this product, from the formula to the eco-conscious design. I can’t wait to try their other products—I’m officially a fan!

The only complaint I would have is that you don’t get many uses if you use it all over your body. I think I’m going to mix it with my regular lotion to get more uses since it doesn’t give an instant color anyway.

I really enjoy how this is the perfect product for your first day back in the summer sun after winter or when you’re heading on vacation to a warm spot. I’m naturally very pale, and my winter skin is downright blinding. I brought this on a cruise, and it made such a difference—I looked so much better in photos and felt more confident in a bikini. My skin looked healthy and glowing instead of like it hadn’t seen sunlight in months.Not only did my skin look great, but the SPF in this product was amazing. Sunscreen is a must, and it’s nice to have a product that does double duty without leaving a white cast or sacrificing protection.That said, it definitely smells like self-tanner! While it’s not my favorite scent, it’s milder compared to other tanners I’ve tried. I also loved the subtle sparkles—it gives your skin a gorgeous glow in the sunlight.The biggest downside, though, is that you can’t swim or get wet with it, as it will melt off. This kind of defeats the purpose for beach or pool days, and because of this, I wouldn’t repurchase. If you’re staying dry, it’s great, but for vacations or summer outings, it’s just not practical.

Absolutely LOVE the way this makes my skin feel, however, i don't like the tint of it. It is very dark and unfortunately it is not water resistant. Otherwise it would be my perfect sunscreen as it makes my skin feel fabulous.

We spend a lot of time in the sun here in the southern US and we rely on sunscreen to get us through, especially those first few beach days after winter!I thought I’d try this Dune Golden Guard to remain burn free and add some “glow” while doing so.The product is dark immediately upon coming out of the bottle, but it is smooth and rubs in flawlessly. This leaves a very faint shimmer, which is super cool!I didn’t have any streaking while applying. The sunscreen is not greasy at all and didn’t leave any strange feeling on my skin at all. After about 1/2 hr, I still couldn’t tell I had applied anything, which is great.I’d say that this stood up to any SPF 30 that I’ve used.We have traveled to Hawaii multiple times and have been in numerous other areas with coral reefs and it is so important to wear sunscreen that is reef safe.The only downside of this sunscreen for me personally is that the scent is very strong and I wouldn’t call the scent “sea salt” but rather it has a very floral smell. I couldn’t personally apply this all over my upper body or I’d have a bad headache in no time. I could manage putting this on my legs I suppose. Why such a strong scent I wonder, being reef safe. That truly is the only negative that I have with this product. I would suggest cutting the scent in half.Great product otherwise, the price seems a bit high for one bottle, but I have shopped reef safe sunscreen in a few years, but I know it’s usually more for safer sunscreen.

I brought this on my recent vacation and I did not burn at all. This sun screen protected my skin and no adverse reactions at all. It goes on nicely and easy to blend in. I did feel the need to reapply this after going in the water. This is a top notch quality protection from the sun. Expensive but protecting my skin is more important!
