Can we get the heating pad without the lavender scent? Some of us are allergic to lavender, but still want to try this.

No, unfortunately it only comes with the lavender one. However, I'm sure you could wash the lobster itself and then buy some sort of heating insert and drip your scented oil of choice on the lobster. I'm a huge lemon scented fan and I put my lemon oil on his face. It smells nice.

How long does the heat last?

Not super long. Maybe 30 mins before you notice it cooling down.

Aside from microwaving, how else can this be heated? Don’t have a microwave.

I believe the heating pad is filled with lavender, unsure what else, but holding a hairdryer over it for a couple of minutes may heat it up. Make sure to take the pouch out of the crustacean first though.

The lavendar is a bit strong. What's the best way to tone that down without damaging anything?

After heating it, you can put it in a plastic bag prior to putting it back in the lobster.
