Jura Journey Single Malt Scotch Whisky, 70cl

Great whisky smooth and tasty.

I've enjoyed Jura Journey for some years but the distillery seem to have joined the 'tarting up' bandwagon to boost sales. So they've changed the blending and now call it 'Bourbon Cask' - maybe for the next 12 months. and so on. I don't like their new offering - which unsurprisingly is more expensive - and so they've lost a customer. Oddly enough I saw Journey for sale in Morrisons yesterday for £34(!) so I wonder what's going on. Hopefully they will bin-end it after a month.

I lived in Ayrshire for 2 years on the Seamill side of Dalry Road and I am a self-confessed Malt Pig / Snob.having once been treated to a 25yr old Macallan. As everyone, I have my own taste, I would rate a 10yr old Aberlour above a 20yr old Glenfiddich. This was a totally pleasant shock, starts off sweet then a nice kick aftertaste. Very cheap for what I class as a very decent malt. Buy quickly before the internet arrives. I've just ordered another 2 after my first sup, For historians, the Dalry Road was built by Romans, ask them about Portencross before ... aaargh

but not great. I have tried many of the Jura range and have been rather impressed, so much so, I'd happily say they are my go-to for a quick nip. Unfortunately, I was expecting more from the single malt and it just didn't deliver. Still, win some, lose some, the rest of the Jura's are great.

Was introduced to Jura in the Sargent’s Mess of Scots Guards In 1975. If good enough for them, who am I to complain.

Easy to drink, not Peaty, very nice. Great value for money. Would buy again.

It should be 30% more expensive, but online, this seller can give you a real bargain, at a really competitive price, without ANY reduction in the quality of the very subtle and rewarding drink. Bought for present for Husband , he liked it , it was a different one from his normal, I liked the bottle. He liked the taste smooth and , easy to drink .

Schottischer Single Malt, auch für Einsteiger gut geeignet. Entspricht geschmacklich voll dem in der Produktbeschreibung angekündigten Bouquet. Der Preis ist auch völlig in Ordnung. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Gusto sgradevolmente amaro; il Jura che ho bevuto a Edinburgo in un normalissimo pub era invece meraviglioso. Non lo comprero' piu': perche' questo non e' il whiskey che conoscevo.
