The Gold Standard of kitchen utensils
Kitchenaid has a reputation for a reason. They're not cheap but what you get for the money is an outstanding product that will last a lifetime. I would genuinely argue that a Kitchenaid is a necessity for anyone who enjoys cooking or baking and would recommend it to everyone. The first thing I noticed when opening the box of the Kitchenaid was just how heavy everything is. Weight is usually an indicator of quality and I think it's to be expected that the Kitchenaid mixer itself would be pretty heavy. The motor is capable of spinning at a very high speed and if the mixer was lightweight it would risk toppling over when spinning so fast. As the mixer is a heavy unit, this isn't a problem even at the highest setting. Not only is the mixer heavy but everything that comes with it is also fairly weighty for the size. The three attachments (dough hook, wire whisk and flat beater) are all solid metal with the dough hook and flat beater having an enamelled finish. I can't think of any reasonable usage that would result in any of these attachments wearing out or snapping. The metalic mixing bowl comes attached, it twists into the mixer and is very sturdy. Again fairly heavy and solid metal. In terms of performance I have used it for a number of bakes and have found all three included attachments make light work of their designated task, whether it be kneading dough or whisking egg whites into a meringue. I know this is the most important aspect but there isn't really much more to add here, it's top class and that's all there really is to say. I really like the matte black finish, it looks stylish and is a very versatile colour which I think will suit all different types of kitchen. It cleans nicely and fingerprints are easy to wipe away which is generally the biggest concern with matte colours. For the price I think it would be a shame to have this packed away in the box or a cupboard until use, let it take pride of place on the kitchen worktop. The Kitchenaid also has the unique feature of being able to plug in various different attachments into the front of the mixer which then utilises the Kitchenaid's motor to work. For example, you can get a pasta roller, meat grinder, vegetable spiraliser and many more. There should be a leaflet in the box which shows all the available attachments, if not search online. They don't come cheap but are high quality with the added benefit of taking up less storage space than their standalone equivalent. If you're a keen home cook I'm sure you'll benefit from this greatly. If you found my review helpful please let me know by hitting the button below. Cheers

The perfect mixer
KitchenAid have done it again. I bought this to replace my Kenwood A901 and I would absolutely do it again, 10 times over. A stunning bit of kit for any keen baker or chef looking to save time (I've saved hours on stretch and folds with this thing) or keep their hands clean. The Artisan is the perfect size for smaller counter tops, unintrusive and absolutely will not be moving- this thing is HEAVY in all the right ways. The mixer itself wipes down in seconds and the attachments clean quickly with a quick scrub in warm water. Everything I've baked, cooked or whipped up has been near perfect every time. Though pricey, the Artisan genuinely feels like it will last forever and if you are able, I 100% recommend purchasing this.

The best I have used, ever....
I love my kitchen aid, would not go back to any other, it is sturdy and brilliant. Does everything I want brilliantly, got the pasta attacment, if you do pasta this is a godsend, saves so much Rolling time. My favourite part is that the whisk and paddles reach the bottom of the bowl perfectly so no dry ingredientes left on the bottom. I highly recommend getting one of these.

Unmatched Stability and Professional Results
After years of using entry-level stand mixers, upgrading to the KitchenAid 4.8L Artisan has completely transformed my baking experience. It is not just a kitchen appliance; it’s a heavy-duty tool built to last a lifetime. 1. Build Quality and Stability: The first thing you notice is the weight. Being made entirely of die-cast metal, it stays perfectly still on the countertop even when kneading heavy bread dough at high speeds. Unlike plastic mixers that "walk" across the table, the Artisan feels incredibly planted and robust. 2. Planetary Action and Performance: The 59-point planetary mixing action is what sets this apart. It reaches every part of the 4.8L bowl, meaning I rarely have to stop the machine to scrape the sides. Whether I’m whisking a single egg white or mixing a dense fruit cake batter, the motor remains consistent and doesn't sound strained. 3. Versatility and Ease of Use: The tilt-head design makes adding ingredients and changing attachments effortless. I also appreciate the "Attachment Hub" at the front; knowing I can turn this mixer into a pasta maker or a meat grinder with optional accessories makes it a truly central hub for the kitchen. The 4.8L bowl is the "sweet spot" size—large enough for two loaves of bread but compact enough for a small batch of cookies. 4. Aesthetics and Cleaning: Beyond performance, the design is timeless. The enamel finish is high-quality and very easy to wipe clean. Both the stainless steel bowl and most of the attachments are dishwasher safe, which makes the post-baking cleanup much less of a chore. Pros: Exceptional build quality (all-metal construction). Extremely quiet operation compared to cheaper alternatives. Incredible stability during heavy kneading. Wide range of available attachments for future expansion. Cons: It is heavy, so it’s best kept in a permanent spot on the counter rather than moved in and out of a cupboard. Premium price point, though the longevity justifies the investment. Final Verdict: The KitchenAid Artisan remains the gold standard for a reason. If you are a frequent baker, the consistency of the results and the sheer joy of using a well-engineered machine make this worth every penny. It’s a classic that truly lives up to the hype.

Decent machine, my 2nd one as the first one had the bowl become loose and unusable
My review is split into the following sections: Durability, Smell, Ease of Cleaning, Size, Colour, Looks, Final thoughts Durability: This is my 2nd unit - the first I had to send back as the base of the mixer-bowl was not holding in the screw-thread of the mixer unit. So, when mixing something in the bowl and attaching to the base, the bowl eventually became loose and completely useless. So, in terms of durability, I am testing this 2nd unit to see if this one will last. Ease of Cleaning & Smell: The mixer, just like any other mixers, is fairly easy to clean and use, with little or no residue or smell. Size & Weight: The of the unit is quite big (my KitchenAid was the 4.8l model) an occupies a decent amount of space on the kitchen counter. However, the size if the device is more of an issue which means it is not very easy to move around the kitchen, as it weight around 10kg. Colour & available colours & Looks: I like the look and colour of the device as it looks very aesthetically pleasing and feels well designed in terms of it form. Functionality, the item works well aside of the issue pointed out above in terms of the bowl becoming loose. The item was available in a variety of colours but the Almond one looked most pleasing to us. Final thoughts: The mixer looks nice, costs a lot of money and is supposed to be long lasting. Just holding my breath on how long this unit will last, hence the 4-stars instead of 5.

Practical and everyday usability
Love it. Best kitchen appliance I’ve ever bought. Love all the attachments for it and its versatility. It is a heavy appliance that you will use everyday. Also looks sexy in a kitchen and the colour choice is amazing. Well made and practical. I understand it’s pricey but believe me the cost out ways the practicality. I waited a long while to get one. I should have done it sooner.
