Q: Any suggestions as to how to make drainage holes? (i am not diy enabled!)

Yes, have drilled holes in a few containers with a basic (economy range) electric drill; and I'm about to do the same for some more. Good luck.

Q: How long does delivery usually take? (would be needing it delivered to nw3, london)

between 5 or 6days thats was when i purchased one

Q: Are these drums suitable for burning lots of paper and do you need to make vent holes first.

Yes they are. You need to drill holes in the base and around the lower half to allow air in. Also place on some bricks again to allow air movement. I actually cut my bin down to two thirds of it's original size as I found it unnecessarily too tall, but of course that's optional.
