Excellent product even with my eczema
I love faith in nature products and this does not disappoint. I do not need to use a capsule for a full load of laundry and my clothes are clean and smell fresh. I love the fact these are products are better for the environment and I use 5 litre bottles for a lot of products as they end up working out better value for money and reduce my plastic waste. I have added a pump to my bottle and use a laundry dosing cup to fill and either pour into the drawer of my washing machine or put in the drum. A lot of the time I put directly I to the drum of my washing machine and the dosing cup gets washed with no waste from residue. I have also use this directly into some spills for food that doesn't stain to help with laundering and this is my own idea and not a recommendation from faith in nature. I am very pleased with the laundry detergent but wish it had came with a pump supplied. This bottle is heavy and unless it is being put into smaller bottles would be wvry tricky to pour. I cannot lift it and do not try to as I have fibromyalgia and so using a pump is the safest for me. I have eczema in places and have had allergies tonlajndry detergent in the past, this has given me no problems whatsoever and in fact my skin has had less problems since I started using this. The packaging this comes in is recyclable with plastic waste. The packaging it was delivered in was far to big for this product but was well sealed in a plastic bag and had had no leaks. I was very happy overall, just wish had less card to recycle.

Ecover Laundry Liquid is the very best on the market
Ecover - Excellent washing results. Human and Earth friendly. Lovely smell which is not synthetic and is not overpowering. Clothes come out fresh and clean. This 5L has lasted for almost 5 months and still has at least 10 washes left in the bottle. Good price. Only one problem - difficult to get hold of and now no longer affordable. The price has increased by £10 since May 2024 - that is 6 months! So unfortunate as the best on the market.

Better than expected
Before I switched to Faith in Nature Washing Liquid, I was using Fairy Non-bio Washing liquid, which would do all what was expected, but I was looking into more eco-friendly and cheaper solution. I wanted something that is easy to use, doesn't leave intensive scent and washes clothing well without causing skin irritation. I thought I will give Faith in Nature a go. It's been a month now, since I did the first washing load and I have to say that I'm pretty impressed with the results this washing liquid gives me. My washing is left with no stains and smelling fresh, but not overwhelming, which is a bit of a surprise after reading reviews about unpleasant smell. I do treat heavy stains before washing though and have always been adding (even with Fairy non-bio) Vanish powder, when wanted to get rid of stains or make my whites looking bright. But even though, I know that if I use the washing liquid only (and again, I do not have to use more then usual), I can expect from it to do the job. I like that the washing liquid comes in a big container, saving me money and leaving less impact on the environment! It is a bit of a shame that the container doesn't come with measure cup, so I just use my old one from another liquid bottle. I am very pleased and will buy again.

Good value for money, with lacklustre scent
It seems to be a common issue with these ecological bulk liquids that they're huge, last a long long time, are moderately good at cleaning, but they don't smell brilliant. After washes, the machine doesn't smell clean or fresh at all, it just smells a bit meh, damp perhaps. We've cleaned it out until it smells pristine, cleaned the traps and motor, and run through a number of 'cleaners'. When we put something like persil through it, the machine smells all fresh, but with this, it just smells... meh. The cleaning power is fair. It doesn't get out tough stains like baked-in blood and/or red wine or tomato, you'll need to pre-treat the clothing to get that clean. But for daily washing, it's fair. I'd give it 4 stars for cleaning power, and three stars for scent. Sadly, the ecological fabric conditioners don't have a strong scent either, so your washing comes out smelling... well.. cleanish, but not like a summer meadow, or an apple tree or anything... Four stars.. good, but scent is very light.

Great quality
I never had issues with my laundry with this product, until the point to try another one. Since September-ich I swapped. Now I have to remove the yellow stains from my white t-shirts neck and armpit. Soon I used up go back to your product! PS. I missing the 20L siz,e It was so handy for me.

The best of both worlds!
I bought this to give it a try because wash for wash it worked out as less than the leading brand product I was using. I'll be honest, I wasn't expecting great things from this because usually you find that eco-friendly products don't tend to be particularly effective. I was pleasantly surprised at how well this performed. I used the minimum dosage from the label, assuming that I would need to experiment over subsequent washes to find out the "real" quantity that would be needed to get a good result. It turns out that the amount you need is the amount it says. During the first wash I was a little concerned because I am used to my regular detergent frothing like mad, which this doesn't seem to. It didn't seem to stop it from doing an excellent job of cleaning the clothes though, including getting a turmeric stain out from spatter when cooking - turmeric is a nightmare to remove from fabrics! The only negative I can find is that this huge container makes it a little difficult to accurately pour out such a small quantity of viscous fluid, but it doesn't take a genius to work out that you can pour the excess back into the bottle from the dosing ball! Smells lovely and fresh, colours preserved and stains removed. It also won't destroy the planet and no critters were harmed in the making of this product. If that isn't good enough, I don't know what is. Will definitely buy again - probably in a year when this runs out!

A more environmentally friendly alternative
If you are looking to reduce the environmental impact of detergents then, short of standing knee deep in the nearest river bashing clothes against rocks, this seems as good as any. It was a cheaper alternative but the price has gone up by almost £4 from July 2019 to March this year which makes it less attractive on value and puts it in competition, in price at least, with other ecological friendly products in what is now a growing market. The container states 150 washes, which on current price works out at 14p a wash – up from just under 12p six months ago – but the 150 figure is not set in stone. Small loads or lightly soiled clothes can be washed with less detergent which will increase the number of washes. We have found it is good for most washing loads, but it does struggle with heavily soiled items without pre-treatment. There is no scent in clothes when they are washed and dried, just a sort of neutral clean smell, a nothing smell really, rather than the fresh, perfumed fragrance from chemical based detergents, and there are no optical brighteners or fluorescing agents in the liquid which means you will not get dazzling whites in bright sunshine. Clean washed whites have a slight grey or yellow cast, hardly noticeable and it is the natural colour, but people wanted whites that shone to show they were really clean, so in the past people used chemicals such as dolly blue to make clothes appear whiter and modern detergent manufactures add synthetic chemicals to create the same effect. Similarly, you will not get lots of foaming which is wrongly associated with cleaning power by many people rather than the surfactants, the wetting agents, which do most of the heavy lifting in detergents, allowing the water to reach the dirt and lift it off. A small point, but important to some people, my son has eczema which is affected by clothes washed in chemical detergents, something which does not happen with items washed in Faith in Nature. We also use soap nuts, obviously, not at the same time as Faith in Nature, and we would be happy to use either as our sole washing product. Both clean well in general, apart from the proviso of heavy soiling needing pre-treatment, both leave fried washing soft and neither leave any residue or chemicals on clothes and, let’s be honest, the main reason we use either, both are much safer for the environment.

Pleasant scent , better on smaller washes.
Even though this product is super concentrated , I think you need to put in more than perhaps is recommended. seems to work ok on smaller washes and anything that is not too heavily soiled. Struggles with grease stains and I found that I still had to use the vanish soap on the oil/grease mark to get rid of it. Still more environmentally friendly which was why I wanted to try it.
