Candy Land - The Great Lollipop Adventure [VHS]

This dvd was purchased at the request of a 5-year-old who had seen it advertised on TV and was already familiar with the beginner's board game. She has enjoyed watching The Great Lollipop Adventure numerous times and rates it among her current favorites. It even kept the attention of the 2 1/2-year-old little sister for nearly the entire length of the dvd. The characters, story line and visuals are charming and colorful, and wholesome, of course. A big thumbs up from kids and grownups alike!

I purchased the movie for my 3-year-old who is obsessed with the boardgame. He LOVES the movie. It is not particularly well made or clever, but, then neither is the game -- and yet is is an amazing success (the game I mean). There is something about the game - and the movie - that simply engages some aspect of some children's imaginations...and, silly, though it is, I am glad the movie exists. It brings him pleasure - and that makes me happy, too.

My kids absolutely love this movie! They saw it as a preview on another movie and freaked out about it. I was afraid I wasn’t going to be able to find it, but good old Amazon came through.

Shipping was fast great item to go along with the game. I would get this for any kid that likes the game it brings the game to life.

We found a VHS of this movie at a rummage sale, and my child immediately fell in love with the story and the characters that I knew from growing up with the game. It's not all that bad for kids movies I suppose. Keeping a VHS copy isn't a reliable way to continuously watch this movie, so we upgraded to DVD obviously just in time for her to grow out of it.

Got it much quicker than expected, was in great condition, and was actually a really cute movie! Bout it for my daughter's CandyLand birthday party

THE KIDS IN MY CLASS LOVED WATCHING THIS MOVIE RIGHT BEFORE A CANDYLAND THEMED CHRISTMAS PARTY. THEY LOVED INTERACTING WITH THE GAME AND BEING APART OF ALL THE ACTION IN THE MOVIE. IT GOT THEM RIGHT IN THE MOOD TO COME TO THE PARTY DRESSED AS GAME PIECES AND MOVE FROM STATION TO STATION MAKING CRAFTS....WHAT AN AMAZING DAY!

Predictable story, cheap animation, annoying songs. It's everything I expected from a movie based on a board game! My son seems to like it though.
