It was easy to assemble with basic tools. Started up on the first pull. I used it for 5 hours straight the first day with no issues. It was lower cost than other options with smaller engines, it had plenty of power and dug down about 10 inches in the Virginia clay soil. It has thick metal and feels very solid when in use.

I searched for a beast and got an EARTHQUAKE! Opened the box, followed the instruction manual to assemble it which was easy. Added oil and gasoline. I set the tines high and started tilling. It was a monster and dug through red clay mixed with huge pieces of gravel under sod that had been settled ground over the past 6 years. I tilled at 2 inch depth and made several sweeps and it worked just as described and covered a large area in about 15 minutes and got about 6 inches deep. Very happy with my first time using it and hope to get many years (5 year warranty) of service. All steel and feels to be well made. Easy to maneuver and handles very well. Powerful! Heavy but necessary for tough jobs!

It took me about 10 minutes to assemble and start. It fired up on one pull. Super excited about that. However the shipping company that delivered it carried it on end with the the engine oil leaking all over the insides of the box. In my opinion not the brute of a machine that led me to this purchase. Still super happy that it has reverse, so much easier to move around the garden.

OK, so its a name brand you might not be familiar with... i wasn't, turns out they are made in Minnesota or something... basically southern Canada. Anyhow its strong like bull, small tree roots? ha! it laughs at them... sprinkler system you didn't know was installed? Diced like a tomato on JVC! A family of burrowing rodents? SHREDDED! I have admittedly pretty soft soil to begin with it being mostly alluvial sands that are amazing to garden in and why we bought this property. However i wanted to put in a solid half-acre garden and by the time you rent a tiller for a few days that might not have been taken care of, then use and return it you might as well have purchased your own. I have a lot of experience with tillers and market gardening even big-time farming. This is easily my favorite tiller that i have used and i have used some big boys like the BCS series. A pro tip: You dont need to slam the reverse lever up, you just need to let go of the go bar, then smoothly and gently raise the reverse lever until it kicks into reverse then just let go when you are backed up to where you want to be. The only thing i don't like is that there is no neutral drive gear for the tine motion. if the critter is moving... its tines are moving. you can slip the cotter pins so the wheels don't rotate with the tines and then just push it wherever you want it to go. Screw that, raise the tines up to the highest they go, tilt her forward a bit and drive the beast to where you want to till. Remember: Tilling takes everything on top and forces it to the bottom. so on pass one, it will bury the stuff on top... pass 2 will bring it back up... pass 3 bury/mix, pass 4 bring it back up ETC so remember to put your adjuncts like fertilizer or whatever you want tilled and mixed into your soil on your LAST ODD NUMBER PASS. Other uses for the tiller i have found: It makes trenching a breeze! Just till the line you want to trench out, scoop out the now super soft dirt... bam ready to lay irrigation.. or fix the irrigation you destroyed tilling! All parts of the tiller that could be damaged by the weather or leaving it outside in the rain can easily be covered with a small trash bag, open the trash bag, put it over the head, pull the strings tight around the base and tie it off. good to go! Don't let the weather ruin your tiller and i see this thing lasting at least a decade of hard use... and i use it HARD. Also, this unit REALLY likes ethanol free gas.

Terrible machine. The tires are ineffective to move the machine forward against the reverse cutting tines. i tried the tires in the correct and reverse direction and both worked terribly. I had to physically push the tiller forward through a garden that's been tilled regularly for years. The video shows the first tilling of the year, but when I did it a second time through the same area, it was even worse trying to push it forward. Absolutely horrible. It did start up nicely, and actually ran pretty quietly. I owned an Ariens rear tiller in the past which worked great. But I sold it when I purchased a john deere tractor with a rear tiller. i now have a Toro zero turn mower. So I am selling my john deere mower with the tiller, and I thought it would be a good idea to downsizetto this tiller .but that was certainly a mistake. I absolutely do not recommend this rototiller.

Almost a year old Stored it under the deck Pulled it out two days ago now it did have like a run off out from under the gas tank I thought it was like dust and light moisture. I guess it could be rust sitting on top of the motor. It wasn’t sitting out in the r e elements Feels locked up Pulled spark plug Pulled cord, it will not pull Sprayed PB Blaster in not a lot just some, put the plug back in. Next day pulled plug back out tried again Still no rotation Pulled cord off used a 19mm and a ratchet to turn it. Reverse is kind of smooth. Forward is very tight. That’s with plug out. Will i recommend this tiller I guess Would I buy it again no absolutely not. I don’t know what has happened. One guy said water got in it. How? No direct anything. But he does think rain got in the engine. Almost one year, probably 15 to 20 hours max. Oil still looks like I just put it in. And I don’t see any indication of water in it. I can’t stand behind this product before this review I’ve sent them a message to see what they think. I’ve included pictures. Like I said that’s either dust and some small amount of moisture that ran down the side surely it’s not a rust.

This is the best tiller for the price you can get. Run a small farm and use it quite a bit. Exactly small enough to be nimble, but big & powerful enough to work on large fields. Super easy to assemble, very powerful, and easy to operate. Took all winter to decide on the best one for our business. Couldn't be happier. Also, it's cheapest and they'll deliver it obviously, if ordered through Amazon. Found at Ace, Coastal , and Home Depot for $100 more, + $200 delivery fee. Do yourself a favor and get through here. Very stoked we got this and it's actually awesome. (The big engine is worth it, as the 99cc is too small for large fields imo)
