Contains the armchair sketch from Mr bean do it yourself priceless as it's the only place I know off it appearing on DVD the weighing in the turkey can be found on another Mr bean Christmas DVD but not on the brilliant box set (although this is a great set to own the most complete Mr bean sketch episodes.

I've been waiting for a long time to get the entire Mr. Bean series with a bargain rate. $25.00 is a steal for a show this classic! The only reason why I didn't save up and buy it previously is because I'd seen every episode on TV multiple times and felt that I knew every moment in every skit, and so I was waiting for a reasonable price, and it's here! The episodes look a lot better in this remastered DVD edition, vs. the televised version. Very clear. No ads! You can put in a disk and hit the already-selected "Play All," sit back and enjoy :) If you've never seen Mr. Bean, allow me to explain all the hubbub. Mr. Bean is a simple-minded (child-like) Englishman who doesn't really understand the adult world and his pathetic yet clever attempts to adapt to it are largely where the comedy stems from. Whether it's in bringing a sandwich to a park bench (the ingredients contained in his pockets) or enjoying raw hamburg at a upscale restaurant (which he tries to cut up and hide every place he can find,) we delight in watching this poor man's embarrassing failures at being a dignified adult. Mr. Bean reflects the inner child in us all; the at times mischievous and other times innocent, naive soul who can make you laugh one moment and then feel sorry for him the next. He's a very loveable character because he is so very human. The comedy itself is done in a series of skits which comprise an episode. There is very little dialogue, and this is what helps to give Mr. Bean his universal appeal. You wouldn't even have to speak much English or be able to understand British accents that well to follow what is happening. Mr. Bean has been a huge success around the world. The jokes rarely aim high, instead focusing on little things which make us laugh due to Mr. Bean's character and in understanding what he is trying to do, rather than a ball-in-the-groin type gag. This makes Mr. Bean feel much like a modern version of Charlie Chaplin's Little Tramp character, but Rowan Atkinson's Mr. Bean is very original and stands on his own as a classic comedic character. Highly recommended for the young at heart, and for those who feel that we sometimes take society too seriously. Atkinson once said that he believes that every actor has one great character in him and that Mr. Bean was his. I concur.

After all these years, Mr. Bean still holds a special place in my heart. Normally I'm not into slapstick comedy that much, but when combined with the incredible social ineptness of Mr. Bean and his extreme bumbling , I think it is comedy gold. Rowan Atkinson will always be my go-to for hours of pure laughs. This set has 14 Episodes on 3 discs, each episode contains 1-3 comedy sets, in which Mr. Atkinson displays his comedic genius with facial contortions and impeccable timing. Mr. Bean always tries to be graceful, and wants to be admired while at the same time being frugal. One almost aches for him as he goes to a fancy restaurant , signs and sets out a birthday card for himself, and then goes into sticker shock at the prices. But his inventiveness is incomparable. Late for a Dentist appointment, Mr. Bean has to dress himself while driving through town...in his iconic Mini Cooper. You can get a sense of English living as you watch Mr. Bean at his home, a small flat with only the basics, but anyone who has ever redecorated may appreciate Mr. Bean's efforts ( DISCLAIMER : Do not try this at home, kids ! ) Younger children may snigger at the scenes of brief nudity, so if you get offended by mild naked humor, some discretion may be necessary. Overall, this set will give you hours of laughter and somehow they never get old. I highly recommend this box set to anyone who enjoys laughing! I love having the whole series in here. Mr Bean has such a great quality of everywhere and everyone being able to enjoy it, regardless of age or language or how long you had to watch. It's a comedy classic for sure, and if I could only own a few dvds or otherwise things on physical media, this would be at the top of my list.
