This mat is useful for pulling out any electronics I'm working on and then being able to pack away at short notice. I returned a cheaper version as it did not have the electro-static paraphernalia needed when using MOS devices - this does have it. Would have liked a plug with a press stud for a direct connection to earth but these can be bought separately and I'm happy with what I've got.

Nice and large and well made. The supplied earthing strap and wrist band are OK but normally these type of mats have press studs to connect straps. This just has crocodile clips. Therefore one star less.

Great for sorting out screws while working on repairs, solder and flux comes off easily after soldering on it, and it doesn't need to be flatted after arrival. Very good product

It arrived within time for me and was value for money.

This is a nice Soldering Mat and in time it will be perfect. My gripe is the packaging it came in, all folded up and badly greased. I spent hours trying to remove the creases so it would lie flat. Using a heat gun to effect removal of the greases under heavy flat weights for days . A week later, and it is still not perfect but getting there. Easy to solve to my mind. Send it rolled up in a tube! Arghhhh.......

The mat is not anti static no conductivity in fact it held the static from un packing it. Wrist strap poor quality, the earthing plate has no continuity between the pres tuds and the earth lead. I wouldn't use this on any static sensitive equipment. Mat is ok for general repair work so Will use it for non anti static jobs

MAT IS NOT ANTISTATIC. My Megger reports >10^10 ohms per square (2 croc clips ~1mm apart). Banana sockets on grounding bracket connected to G/Y grounding lead, presstuds isolated (>10^9 ohms, would expect 10^6).

It was a gift.....he liked it and is using it

I’ve been using this 23.6" x 13.8" large soldering mat for a few days now while working on laptop and other electronics disassembly. The size is one of the standout features — it’s spacious enough to comfortably handle larger devices without running out of room, which has been a big plus for my workspace. The silicone material is heat-resistant as advertised, and I haven’t had any issues with it during soldering tasks. It grips the table well and helps keep small components from sliding around, which is essential when working with delicate electronics. However, there are two main drawbacks to note: Thinness: The mat is quite thin, which reduces the cushioning for components and tools. It still works fine, but a slightly thicker version would offer better protection and feel more substantial. Missing Accessories: The product listing clearly showed and described an included ESD wrist strap and grounding cord — neither of which I received in the package. This was disappointing, especially since ESD protection is a key selling point for many buyers, myself included. Overall, I’m giving this product 4 out of 5 stars. It does meet my needs for a large, heat-resistant work surface, but the lack of the included accessories and the thinness prevent it from being a perfect purchase. If no missing item issue, it would definitely deserve a higher rating.

I do a lot of work on 3d printers lasers and cell phones. Its nice to have a good size mat to work on and this is just right. The silicone mat is easy to clean. Lots of little cubby's to hold the small screws so they don't get lost. Nice and thick with enough weight to keep it in one place so no sliding out frum under your work. For the money you pay on this you get a great mat and then there is the grounding cable very nice makes this a great value.

I have been meaning to pick up something like this for a while, and I am glad to have one now. The screw organizer is perfect for small screws, but I do wish there was an even larger series of slots for particularly big screws. I would have preferred the screw organizer to have a sloped inside to make it easier to pick up the screws from the trays, but they are shallow enough that it is not much of a problem. The mat is a good size for smaller projects. If you are dismantling a large thing (eg: computer case), it might not be large enough. The mat itself was very staticy when I unrolled it from the shipping box, and it attracted all of the dust that existed on my work surface when I plopped it down. While it did come w/ an ESD wrist strap and grounding setup, I think if you are doing sensitive electronics work you are probably better off with a setup where the mat itself can provide a grounded surface.
