Good quality
I’m very impressed with this portable projector. The picture quality is clear and bright, even in a moderately lit room. It’s compact, lightweight, and very easy to set up, making it perfect for movies, gaming, or outdoor use. The built-in speaker sounds decent, and connecting to phones or laptops is quick and simple. For the price, the performance exceeded my expectations. Definitely a great purchase!

Super nice and portable projector
I’ve been using this projector for a while now and I’m really happy with it. Setup was super easy. I had it up and running in minutes with no hassle. It’s a Google TV platform. The portable design is clean and compact, and it fits nicely in my bedroom without taking up much space. Picture quality is solid for the price. It’s clear, colors look good. I love the adjustable stand because I can tilt it and watch comfortably from bed, or take it to project a backyard football game! Only small downside is brightness, it’s a bit dim in a well-lit room. But in a dark setting, it looks great. Really non issue. Already recommending my friends to buy this exact model.

Excellent projector for an excellent price
For the price, this is a stellar little machine. I'm really impressed by how bright it is, and how clear the picture is even on a bare wall (no screen). It's easy to navigate right out of the box. Plugged it in, turned it on, away we go. Native Netflix is a great feature; I wish there were more apps directly on the OS. Maybe future updates will improve the number of apps. The projector is super light and easy to move around. I didn't feel it getting too hot while I used it (longest time so far 2.5 hours in one session). The fan is super quiet. The remote is responsive. Still messing with the settings to get it exactly right. The built-in speaker is clear and loud, and sounds better than bluetooth connected speakers. Overall, this is a great value projector and I'm really glad I bought it. Some caveats- I'm not using it to replace a tv or be my only screen, it's not a "home theater," and I'm not using it outside. It's the thing I'm using for parties, sports events, and casual movie nights with friends. I think it's perfect for that, but I don't think I would want this to be my only machine (gaming, zoom calls, binging shows, etc etc).

Controversial impressions
Compared it to my previous Xgimi Horizon pro 4K (lcd). This new projector definitely doesn't have 1600 iso lumens - it's approx 30% less bright than 1500 lumens Horizon. And picture settings like brightness/contrast do nothing. But it has awesome optical zoom, way better keystone tune, good contrast, eyes auto protection, great gimbal and compact portable design. Google TV is slow and full of ads as always, I prefer Android TV much more. I'm still thinking about return this projector because of low brightness but cannot find alternative for the price <$1000

Perfect game projector
Pro: 1. Good as gaming projector. Delay is almost unnoticeable. I use a motion capture device, Nex playground selling on Amazon. The games can be played smoothly 2. Can project to ceiling 3. Very light, good portability. 4. Modern design, looks good in room 5. Color matches great to PC screen. Contrast is good. Texts in a paper, videos can both be resolved well 6. Sound quality is great 7. Noise is very, very low 8. Device doesn’t turn hot even after using a few hours Sort of con: The brightness is good enough with room light on, but it can be brighter. It looks a bit dim with light on, so I prefer to turn light off when using this projector.

Surprised find!
My husband broke our tv when moving so we decided to try this projector and we love it. Easy to move, and can use in several different rooms. Highly recommend. When we are using it, we put it up on a closet.

The screen door effect is awful! Terrible image quality.
Don't buy any of XGIMI lower end projectors. They all contain the low end DLP, DMD 0.23 chip. It basically makes the image look like your looking at it through a screen door. If you reduce the size of the image to 60 inches or less the screen door effect becomes less noticable but its still there especially on light or white colored images. While yes in theory this does process and produce a 1080p image what your seeing especially on anything 80 inches and above is more like 480p displayed because of the 0.23 DMD chip. I have another projector that is a 0.33 DMD and while the screen door effect is there its only noticeable a few feet from the screen. Sitting back 6 to 8 feet the screen door effect is no longer visible on the 0.33 DMD chip which the original Xgimi elfin non flip version had. The XGIMI flip was downgraded to a 0.23 DMD chip. Besides the fact that my unit ultimately turned out to be defective the build quality was very solid. Another pro is that if you have the right size barrel jack to USB C cable, it will work just fine off of a PD power bank. 20,000 MAH would get me just about 3 hours on eco mode. Colors are fairly nice, a little dull but overall nice. Brightness is great for a portable projector. You can definitely still veiw this with a little light still in the room. With all of the pluses this has, the picture quality makes this impossible for me to use and I'm not even that picky. DMD chip size is not something that is really advertised with these portable projectors you really have to dig into the specs on XGIMI website. If you want somthing portable, can run off of battery power and has that 0.33 DMD chip in it and don't mind spending a bit more the Halo + is a great option. My personal favorite is the Dangbei Atom which is also 0.33 DMD but is also a laser projector with much nicer colors. Stay away from the elfin flip, the mogo 2, 2+, 2 pro, 3, they all run off the same 0.23 DMD chip and they all look really bad projected on to a fairly large screen.

Perfect $300 DLP Projector
If your budget is around $300, I recommend this DLP projector over an LCD one. The colors and contrast are significantly better than the ~$270 LCD projector I tested before this. In a bedroom set up like a theater with blackout curtains, acoustic panels, a projection screen, and a dedicated soundbar with subwoofer, the experience is much nicer. There are trade-offs though. The user interface is simpler compared to the $270 LCD projector I tried, which came with built-in Google TV and allowed almost every major streaming service to be downloaded directly onto the device. The XGIMI OS on this model is more basic. For example, Peacock cannot be downloaded from the XGIMI store, so we use the built-in browser instead. It works fine, but it's a small inconvenience. On the flip side, this simpler OS makes navigation much faster, and I've noticed zero stuttering or buffering compared to Google TV. Most of the time I play movies from my MacBook along with an app called BetterDisplay. This app lets me increase brightness without washing out colors, enable HDR and switch to 12-bit color depth instead of the standard 10-bit, and turn on HiDPI mode for higher pixel density. The result is a noticeably clearer and sharper image. That is how I was able to get the projector to look like the image below on a 120-inch screen. For $300 this projector offers excellent clarity, strong brightness ( with BetterDisplay), and color performance that easily beats budget LCD models. The trade-offs in software are worth it for the picture quality.

Je recommande !
Super projecteur, prix justifié par la qualité ! Se règle automatiquement dès qu'il est bougé de place, s'allume directement sur Google TV et toutes les applications de streaming et surtout grande qualité d'image avec possibilité de regarder la journée

Good enough
Compact design Easy & fast setup Auto focus & keystone works well Bright & sharp Good internal speakers Good remote Screencast lagged first time No google tv/android so less apps support. No Disney+ Trapezoid display is always visible if kept at some angle Bluetooth, wifi not always connect automatically Casting on ceiling is difficult in small room as it can't be rotated 180°

Buy it! Better than expected.
I knew it wouldn’t be as sharp as the more expensive models, but the visual experience during both the day and night still exceeded my expectations. The sound is quiet, making it perfect for a small room without being disruptive. Setup was incredibly easy, and the smart features are impressive. I just got it last night, and within minutes, I was already watching a movie—absolutely love it! The design looks great, and the height adjustment is super convenient. Don’t hesitate—just get it!

Awesome projector. It’s not bright enough for viewing during the morning and mid-day when the sunlight exposure is substantial in my room. But late afternoon and evening, it’s perfect. Auto keystone is great and reliable. Quality audio too!

Premium Portable Projector with Smooth Performance
The XGIMI Elfin Flip Portable DLP Projector truly stands out in terms of build quality and design. It has a very compact form factor with excellent finishing, giving it a premium feel right out of the box. It’s lightweight and easy to carry, making it perfect for both home use and travel. The picture quality is impressive for its size, delivering sharp and vibrant visuals. Features like auto focus and auto keystone correction work flawlessly, making setup quick and hassle-free. However, the sound output is just average, and for a better experience, you’ll definitely want to connect external speakers. One downside is that it doesn’t come with Google TV. Instead, it runs on XGIMI’s own OS, which is surprisingly very smooth and responsive. It supports apps like YouTube, Prime Video, and Netflix, but the app ecosystem is limited, so you may need a Fire TV Stick or similar device for full functionality. Overall, it’s a great portable projector with easily Connectivity, premium design and smooth performance, Value for Money but adding a streaming device will unlock its full potential.
