It fills a room with ease, and even outdoors it holds its own without sounding tinny or distorted.What really surprised me, though, was the battery life. I’ve taken it on a weekend trip and still didn’t need to charge it when I got home. Marshall claims up to 30 hours, and I believe it. This speaker is great. My old Bose mini died so I needed a replacement. The Marshall is much better in terms of design and sound. It charges super quick and I like seeing how much charge is left has with the indicator lights - it lasts ages! It feels robust, the controls / buttons are easy to use. Bluetooth pairing is a breeze. The only slight issue is it doesn’t come with a lightning to USB adaptor for charging.

Bought a second one for my wife. She loves it - moving around in the house with loud music. Battery life seems forever.

Sound is great but it’s much louder indoors than it out. This is no party speaker more travel and bedroom. Long battery life too.

I listen to a lot of music and have some high end audio products in Bowers & Wilkins PX8, KEF & REL so wanted something nice for outside, beach , kayak , holidays etc and this little speaker is amazing, you won’t be disappointed, go buy.

I've had the Marshall Emberton III for a couple of weeks now and I'm very happy with it so far.It's compact and easy to carry around, but still feels very sturdy and well built. The sound quality is also impressive for such a small speaker, with plenty of volume and a good overall sound.Battery life has been great so far as well, which makes it very convenient for taking it around the house or outside.Overall, a very good portable speaker that offers a great combination of size, build quality, sound and battery life.

Für mich steht bei Audiogeräten immer der Klang an erster Stelle. High End konnte/wollte ich mir nie leisten, ich habe aber immer den mit meinem Budget bestmöglichen Klang angestrebt. Marshall wäre nicht meine erste Wahl gewesen, ich habe damit mehr Lifestyle als guten Klang verbunden. Ich bin froh, dass ich vor dem Kauf länger recherchiert habe, denn imm Fall des Emberton III ist das deutlich anders. Ich war wirklich überrascht, wie gut und ausgewogen dieser kleine Lautsprecher klingt. Dass er gleichzeitig ziemlich gut aussieht, nehme ich als Bonus gerne mit. Mit dem robusten, gummierten Gehäuse muss man sich keine Sorgen darum machen, dass er schon nach dem ersten Outdoor-Ausflug zerschrammt zurückkommt.Was kann der Emberton III richtig gut:Klang - Höhen: Transparent, definiert und klar. Keine Spur von spitz, verwaschen oder harsch. Das hat mehrere Vorteile: Der Emberton III kann erstaunlich viele Details wiedergeben. Nicht nur Rock und Pop funktionieren ausgezeichnet, sondern auch akustische Musik, Jazz und Klassik (instrumental!). Der Klang ist erstaunlich räumlich, er löst sich gut vom Lautsprecher, bei guten Aufnahmen hört man eine schöne Klangbühne. Weiters bietet der Emberton III eine richtig gute Sprachverständlichkeit. Top, wenn man gerne Podcasts hört (oder gerne die Songtexte verstehen möchte).Klang - Untere Mitten und Bass: Obwohl der Emberton III "nur" bis 65Hz runtergeht, liefert er einen klaren, definierten Bass und solide untere Mitten. Nein, den "Rumms" klassischer Party-Lautsprecher kann er nicht. Wer das will sollte lieber zu einem JBL oder vergleichbaren LS greifen. Wer keinen "Party-Sound", sondern klare, ausgewogene Wiedergabe möchte, wird mit dem Emberton III ziemlich glücklich werden.Klang - "Dynamic Loudness": Ein Feature, das richtig gut funktioniert. Wenn man leise hört, wird der Klang nicht dünn, wenn man laut hört, wird er nicht "mumpfig". Der Emberton III klingt über den gesamten Lautstärkenbereich ausgewogen. Sehr angenem!Akku: Die angegebenen 32h bedeuten in der Praxis: Wenn man nicht stundenlang hört, kommt man mit dem Akku locker über eine Woche. Wenn man viel hört, kommt man stressfrei über ein Wochenende. Das ist wirklich nicht schlecht.Wo liegen seine Grenzen:Der Emberton III ist natürlich kein "audiophiler" Lautsprecher. Wer das möchte muss mindestens 400 bzw. eher 1.000 Euro ausgeben. Für mein Budget deutlich zu viel. Er hat nur zwei kleine Treiber, die können nicht die großen Luftmassen bewegen. Marshall macht dank DSP daraus aber trotzdem erstaunlich viel. Da klingt nix dünn oder "blechern". Insgesamt ist der Klang trotzdem so gut, dass man ihn auch dann, wenn man auf feinen Klang Wert legt, wirklich gerne hört. Er hat ein "warmes" Klangprofil, aber auf eine sehr angenehme Weise.Was ist nicht so toll:Eindeutig die Marshall-App. Dass sie nur drei vorgegebene Klangeinstellungen ermöglicht, ist wirklich schwach. Man kann den Equalizer nicht individuell anpassen, nicht einmal eine neutrale Einstellung ist vorgesehen. Zum Glück sind die Abstimmungen "Marshall" und "Voice" sehr gut gelungen. "Voice" hilft sehr bei tieferen, sonoren Stimmen, die in der Einstellung "Marshall" ein bisserl gar fett klingen. Die Voreinstellung "Drücken" (soll theoretisch fetteren Bass und mehr Höhen liefern) muss man sich nicht antun. Keine Ahnung was die soll.Persönliches Fazit: Wenn man in der Preisklasse unter € 200,00 einen möglichst gut klingenden LS sucht, ist man meiner Meinung nach mit dem Emberton III sehr gut bedient. Für einen so kleinen Lautsprecher liefert er einen wirklich guten Klang ab, mit dem man auch mit anspruchsvolleren Ohren sehr gut leben kann.P.S. und Bonus: Der WAF (wife acceptance factor) ist sehr hoch. Erstens kostet der Emberton III nicht die Welt. Zweitens hat meine Frau - die sie sich null für Technik, Marken oder Image interessiert - durchaus feine Ohren; sie ist mit dem Emberton III genauso happy wie ich.
