But it works ! How ? What socery is this? I was tired of my sat nav unpluging from the suction pad on the window and landing on my lap - not great when you are on a motorway. I tried everything but nothing kept the beggar on. So I turned to the interweb to see if this was a common problem and if there were solutions out there. There were apparently, called the beanbag mount. So I searched Amazon, and found this. BTW, if you ever wonder why you should review stuff, well here is the reason. I bought this because of all the reviews - so thank you reviewers ! (And now I am adding mine). So it arrived and I looked at it and thought, how the hell is this going to work ? Was there a special knack to it, where are the screws, the stickers, the weird way to fix it so it works. Well there isn't one. I clipped my sat nav in and plonked it on the sloping dashboard (literally just plonked it), and then went for a long ride to test it, on rough roads too. It did not move a centimetre.It just sat there like a piece of advanced nanotechnology melding to the surface. So it works. How ? No idea. And I do love something that works. Obviously if it gets bored and leaps up and attaches itself to my face and inserts an alien in me, I will report back. But for now I am content.

An absolutely fantastic mount for the Garmin that keeps your view clear at all times and doesn't budge in the slightest. I have tried window mounts before but my car has a windscreen that is quite far away from me and a sat nav stuck on any part of it is too much of a distraction for me. This mount is incredibly simply to use, and you can just plop it anywhere on your dash, no suction cups, pads or glue required! The ball and socket mount is simple but means you have an endless number of options to mount just the way you like it. As the voice guidance is very good on my sat nav, I keep it just slightly out of view near the middle of my dash. If at any point I misheard something or the lane guidance pops up, a minor movement of my eyes is all it takes. It also eliminates those tell tale ring marks from the windscreen that may as well act as a screaming invitation for thieves to break a window on the off chance you left it in the car (who really takes it with them when they've parked away from home?!) I put it to the ultimate test in an abandoned old car park, flicking the steering wheel violently and braking hard and it just didn't budge. I have the utmost confidence that it will stay where I leave it.

The suction had stopped working on my old Garmin cradle and it kept crashing to the floor. This is a great improvement. We used it on a long journey yesterday without any problems, it has sufficient weight to it stayed put on the centre of the dashboard. When not in use it can be stowed out of sight. It’s a genuine Garmin branded product, seems well built and assembly is easy. It took more time to decide which item to purchase. It is pricier than others, but pleased with it.

Really useful item, holds its position well if you mould it to the contours of your dash, it stays put and barely moves, even on our pot holed roads.

I bought this for the Garmin Nuvi 2959 LMT but I think this will fit many more devices. The suction cup that come with the GPS device is too inconvenient as it's attached to the car's windscreen and is too hard to reach and operate. From looking at the picture I though the mount would be much bigger and heavier and I was surprised upon opening the box to find it not that heavy nor large. In fact we have taken it with us on a trip over sea and it fit well into the front pocket of our suitcase (as you can detach the hard plastic part that attaches to the GPS device from the base). As for performance, it definitely exceed my expectation. It stays put no matter how fast you drive, how hard you break, how sharp a turn you take. It won't move! Even better, it's agile, you can move it around easily, operating the GPS is a dream now that it's within arm reach. When you are done with it, the entire thing (the mount, the GPS decive, the cable can fit into my glove box in 1 piece so the next time i need to use it, there's no fiddling around. If you look for an easy, convenient solution to mount and operate your GPS device, look no further. This is the ONE!

I had been very frustrated with the inadequacies of the Garmins window suction pad. So I then used blue-tack on the back of the sat nav, which was also unsatisfactory because the places to stick the blu-tack were not ideal for visibility of the screen, plus it only stayed in place a short while before falling off. So I find using this bean bag mount is fantastic. I can put it wherever I want on the dashboard and it never budges, not even a millimeter. The sat nav is secure in the mounting arm and you lock the mounting arm into the base. It couldn't be easier and so I am very, very pleased with it. I was even more pleased that I bought it off Amazon for £7 less than it was selling for in Halfords! I've bought my mum one and she is equally delighted with hers, for at 84 years old she was finding the window suction pad system very difficult to manoeuvre. Her dashboard isn't as big as mine, so where she wants to put it (not where I would place it but 'Hey' it's open to choice!) one corner of the pad isn't flat and has to bend up slightly but there's still no problem, for it remains securely in place. Of course I don't work for Garmin but to be flippant I wish I did for, although normally I don't think I'd have any skills for selling, with my enthusiasm for this product, I reckon I'd sell loads!

Fácil montaje. Se adapta bien al salpicadero y tiene una buena adherencia. No se ha movido ni en curvas cuesta arriba. Muchísimo mejor que una ventosa así no dejas marcas en el cristal. Si no se tiene el soporte adaptador que normalmente viene con el GPS que se engancha a la ventosa es necesario comprarlo aparte. Envío rápido. Recomendable

Soporte muy practico y útil para mi Garmin, ampliamente recomendado mucho mejor que la ventosa que quita visibilidad y que a veces por lo profundo del vidrio esta muy tensa la conexión

Ce support GPS Garmin pour la gamme Nüvi est tout bonnement impeccable. Essayé sur quelques kilomètres, on se rend immédiatement compte de la qualité et de la praticité. Grâce à lui il n'y a plus de GPS et de fil qui encombrent le pare-brise. Il n'y a plus de traces sur la vitre non plus; non négligeable (notamment rapport aux éventuels voleurs...). A noter encore la facilité pour déplacer l'objet; il n' y a qu'à le soulever légèrement pour le mettre là où bon nous semble... Egalement à prendre en considération le fait qu'il ne glisse absolument pas; une fois posé sur le tableau de bord, il reste là où on l'a mit, même en cas de forte inclinaison du véhicule. En bref, n'hésitez pas, vous pouvez y aller sans risque :)

Ottimo prodotto, ben fatto e funzionale. Il navigatore rimane saldo al suo posto, anche nelle curve più "tirate". Pagato però 18 euro in più al postino per spese doganali .. quindi, alla fine deo giochi, ho pagato più di 80 euro, sinceramente troppi!

Averlo saputo prima! Non avevo mai visto questo accessorio e le descrizioni erano un po' contraddittorie: visto il prezzo non proprio economico -d'altra parte è Garmin- avevo qualche dubbio... scomparso al primo uso! Basta ventose che si staccano, difficili da sistemare, che non tengono su dossi o curve. Si butta, letteralmente, sul cruscotto, ci si aggancia il navigatore, si sposta secondo necessità e per farlo muovere dovrete capottare! Assolutamente fantastico, vale tutto il suo prezzo. Unico dubbio, non so se le dimensioni della base permettano di poggiarlo sul cruscotto di una city car, per il resto incondizionatamente consigliato!!!
