Great for the price I got it
Great buy. Only complaint is that it came as the Halloween edition keg and was bought as a birthday present expecting the blue design as pictured. Apparently it tasted just as good though. And went down well.

Great ale, shame about the deficiencies of the Keg...
A great beer however there are still issues with the design of the keg. Firstly we found we couldn't get the tap to fully eject from the barrel. Then when we got towards the end of the barrel we found there was still what appeared to be a significant amount of beer left that couldn't be extracted, a venting issue maybe? I reckon there's a good pint left in there possibly more. A friend of mine had alerted me to the beer left in the barrel issue after I posted a picture of the keg on Facebook, they ended up drilling a hole in the top of the barrel to extract the last of the beer. I'll be in touch with Marstons on this one, currently thought it's probably best to buy this beer in your local or in bottles. Lovely though it is and you really do get the full benefit of a cask ale at home! I would have bought a keg for over the Xmas period, but not at the moment.

Best beer by far
Never ending beer? Another great Hobgoblin beer (their best in my opinion) it definitely keeps for over a week (until you open the vent and even then you still have a good few days to drink the last pints.) The only problem is that there seems to be more beer in there than claimed... could this be down to the friendly soul on the front?

Gotta Love The Hob
I love my ales, and I love my Hobgoblin, and always have either cans or a mini keg at hand. Normally I'm getting them from the supermarket for ยฃ15, but when I realised it was a little cheaper on Amazon I had to purchase. The keg itself is very easy to operate - turn the tap at the bottom 90 degrees and press the button. Once the ale stops flowing, turn the disc at the top, and the tap starts working again. Once the pint is poured, turn the disc back to the starting position and pop the tap back in. Ideal for a party, or ideal for 1 :)

Well worth its cost.
A robust tin which held enough pints to keep 3 guests quite happy for the night. It arrived well packaged and only a few days after ordering. A great gift for a hard to buy for family member.

what's not to like? If you like hobgoblin then you'll love this
It's a keg of beer... what's not to like? If you like hobgoblin then you'll love this! Just read the instructions before you attempt to use it as it can foam up pretty easily. 5 litres gets you nearly 9 pints which is alright if you're sharing it with just one person, but get a few of these if you want to host a party or something.

Tastes like real cask ale.
Got this for a Barbecue this summer. At the ยฃ14 a cask it is currently selling at, it works out slightly more expensive than cans, but in my opinion, is a far superior product. This tastes like a proper cask ale. First glass pours rarther foamy, but fine after given a moment to settle. Would recommend.
