What's not too like
I have two plasma zt60 st55 both are beautiful tvs on there own capable of 3d and extremely good picture quality just like the old kuro that still surpasses most tvs i seen oled and leds but finally bite the bullet on this one as it was on sell here im happy with my purchase no complaints and wow it has a stunning picture i had too tweak it a bit but side by side comparison to my zt60 and dam is my word it just as good or better than my zt60 and Is capable of most formats the dolby vision is the best on it i do feel that it does not like heat we keep our home fairly cool and i do have a power conditioner most of my things i have upgraded or modified as i repair electronics and am a electrician im not a nerd but i love picture quality and sound quality sure could have gotten a Sony or lg but given how my panasonics have been so good all these years and surpassed there warranty as i hope this one does im glad i did choose this tv if you like the plasma picture quality this is the secret sauce panasonic thanks for great products and keeping too quality . I have yet too have any troubles with my set add a picture i had took over the holidays excuse the mess in the background that was karate kid playing oh one more thing the sound built on it is awsome without any audio equipment but much better with audio equipment for sure .

Great HDR and Dolby Atmos all in one unit!
This is a great TV and for just a TV with no external sound bar or stereo it has fabulous sound. This is the TV to choose if you are set on using only the speakers in the TV. We have a room where we have mounted it on a brick fireplace chimney with limited space for external sound gear. It actually sounds great. Not crappy at all like most other TV speakers. The color, contrast, and brightness are superb.

The TV spies on you and turns off 95% of features if it can't spy on you
What is good?: The picture quality is really good if you have good source. I paired this TV with a SAMSUNG Q990D 11.1.4ch and it works well. I would recommend turning the TV's video onto Cinema or True Cinema, otherwise you can get problems with highlights during dark backgrounds. This may be something that could be solved with having high quality source material. What is bad (and how to fix it - below)? TLDR: Spend your money on a basic, unintelligent TV with an amazing screen and buy a Nvidia shield pro that plugs into it and acts as the "brains/smarts" for the TV. Don't buy this. The biggest reason why I would return this if I still could is the fact that if the TV cannot talk to Amazon or one of it's many services running to collect your data, THE TV BECOMES UNUSABLE. Even if you have internet access, the TV will give you two options - live TV (if you have it) or HDMI input. It blocks you from having the ability to load apps like Plex, Netflex, etc, even if you have connectivity to those (especially plex as it's usually locally ran). I setup Pihole (dns/ad-blocker) because of this TV because it's always sending data back to Amazon _very aggressively_, without the ability to opt out. This is when I realized that they designed the TV to become an expensive wall mount if it can't talk to their back end. A continuation from the above is that Alexa is always listening. ALWAYS. You can't turn it off. I blocked all traffic to Alexa domains, but it still finds a way somehow (assuming some type of tunneling DNS is used by the TV's OS). If I knew that you couldn't disable this, I wouldn't have gotten it. I assumed that like any other device, you could fully disable it if you wanted because we all know, they are always listening (see Google just had to settle because they were always listening) and taking data points about you. This is a huge break in trust. One of the most annoying aspects is that this TV touts itself as being capable of running 4k at 144Hz but fails to direct play HIGH quality 4k from a local plex server. I believe this is due to a couple reasons, one being that THE TV ONLY HAS A 100Mbps ETHERNET PORT -- in 2024!!! The only potential saving grace is that the TV supports 802.11ax 6Ghz and 02.11a/n/ac/ax 5Ghz, which can easily play at raw blue-ray speeds ~(I max at ~600Mbps with direct play) if the wireless network isn't over saturated and the TV has a good SNR to the router. For a $2000 TV (what I paid), it's crazy that they chose to skimp on the Ethernet connection when the TV is supposed to play at Dolby 4k. For whatever reason, my TV won't fully connect to the WiFi but it fails to phone home resulting in the TV again being a dumb box. For me, this means I have to use Ethernet which stutters video if it tries to play over 100Mbps. How to fix it? Buy yourself an Nvidia shield Pro (2019 version) (or Apple TV if you're an Apple user). Factory reset your TV and skip sign in, etc. Don't connect the TV to the internet. Connect the shield to HDMI 1, setup the shield, and disable the settings/phoning home that you want. Once the shield is setup, you can use the TV's remote or the shield's remote - either works. What's even better is that the shield is capable of doing image up-scaling for all of your content. The biggest upside to me is that it's doing the video processing and sending it through the HDMI to the TV which just acts as a monitor. I have tested this with raw Blu-ray and it works flawlessly and looks amazing.

It's A Winner
My first TV was a 12-inch Black & White Panasonic. Loved it. We have owned a 36-inch Panasonic Tau CRT TV since 2002, it's a beast, gave it away working perfect to a Gamer. I was reading, reading looking at video reviews. Considered a Sony, maybe LG. When I finally decided went ahead and now the price is great, I also picked up the 4-year warranty. I don't know what longevity to expect, just feel good we didn't spend $3200 when it first came to the USA. Now to what I like so far. The stand is a center mount heavy metal base & swivels, has a great built in sound system. Was not looking to add sound bars and speakers. The TV's adjustment options are endless; you want to customize your viewing it's all right in front of you. The picture is spot on, very clear and detailed. I never saw this TV in person, but with all the stellar reviews it seems very worth it. One of the top 5 TVs. a respected reviewer's last statement was this TV is really something special, approachable, comfortable, effortless. He loved the LG & Sony, in his top 3 picks for his personal TV and one of the best he has ever reviewed.

The picture quality and Sound. I've never had a TV this good.
Whattttt!!!! I really love this TV I spent weeks trying to decide wich one to get and if it was going to be bright enough for my living room. And boy does this tv look good. I followed some YouTube settings on adjusting the picture for watching movies in filmmaker mode and was shocked to see I've never seen movies this good. Not only that I added a subwoofer and wow did not need my sound bar after that. It sounds amazing with the added subwoofer and just looks clean. The only criticism I have is the FireTV OS response a little slow but I was expecting it due to a video I saw about it but was not a deal breaker for me.

TV Review (since Amazon insists on a title)
A couple of different reviews mentioned Panasonic TVs as a lower price alternative to the big 3 - Sony, LG, and Samsung. Panasonic has recently reentered the US market after concentrating on European sales. Their build quality and display performance were two big factors in my selection. The 2024 65" OLED model was several hundred dollars less than the alternatives. Basic setup was easy enough but it does take 2 people to lift the TV onto a cabinet with the swivel base attached. I was leery of the Fire TV operating system at first but it was fairly easy to suss out and a step up from the Roku box it replaced. I had some early struggles with a Fire stick years ago but things are better now. The picture and sound quality are quite good without any tweaking - at least as good as my 76 year old eyes and ears can detect. Different streaming apps seem to have either high or low audio intensity so I do have to adjust volume frequently. The built in Technics Soundscape Pro is better than the Yamaha sound bar I was using. Overall, I'm pleased with the TV and don't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Picture quality is amazing!
First, let me say it took 3 deliveries before the right tv was delivered without damage, so get the installation option so you can have them take it back immediately if broken! Packaging actually seems adequate, I just think these large screen tvs have to be treated gently in transit, and amazon is not good at that! Picture quality is great, I think it sounds great, but I don't really turn music/tv up very loud so I can't really speak for the bass or anything. I wish they used roku or ANYTHING other than firestick as the OS. Every firestick I've owned has had issues, like having to force-stop apps occasionally, and this tv is no exception. It took a while to figure out a way around the firestick's energy-saving crap that would kick you out of your app and turn off the screen after 5 minutes on pause, but it can be done. It still goes to the Screensaver, but does not log me out of whatever show I was watching unless I walk away for like 15 minutes. Default is like 5, and firestick removed the ability to shut off this "eco friendly option". I was able to successfully sideload apps, probably the only thing I like about firesticks. Anyway, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Panasonic still the best
Originally planned to buy the LG model but the 2024 were all gone. I bought a Panasonic plasma tv in 2006 and it still works great, so I decided to give it a shot. Delivered in a couple days and boy am I happy! Everything about this tv is great! The picture is beautiful and the sound is so good that no soundbar is needed. The remote is simple to use, the same as the firestick. Once plugged in the tv set itself up and was good to go in 10 minutes. Canโt ask for a better tv for the price paid. A+
