I compared this to the Theragun Relief and the Rod & Todd or whatever it's called D5. The Relief was well built for the price, but didn't pack a whallop. The D5 had good power, but the build quality wasn't as high and it made a racket as I applied pressure and moves it to different positions. The Theragun Prime is considerably more expensive than either of those. And it shows. The head on this gun hits the muscle with serious conviction. Even the lowest setting can do some real work. This thing can tackle the big muscles -- quads, hams, adductors, glutes, calves -- without breaking a sweat. I use it for a few minutes as soon as I get up to get the body moving, and again later in the day to loosen everything up. It's built like a brick, no rattles, and syncs easily to the app where you can follow along with various routines. Only complaint is they should have included the thumb head, which they include with the much less expensive Relief model. Overall, a really solid piece of equipment that does what it says.

Because of our great experience, we recently purchased the Theragun Prime (6th Gen) for a family member who uses it after every workout. We know it will be a valuable part of his recovery routine. After comparing the Theragun Prime (6th Gen) with our Theragun Elite (5th Gen), we found that the overall performance is very similar. I purchased the TheraGun Therabody Prime Plus on July 9th 2025. Two weeks ago, it stopped working. You hear a short Rrrrr sound. I contact Therabody. They tell me to ship it back to them along with the accessories and provide me with a packing label. I don't have the original box because, like normal people, I threw it out after a couple of weeks of owning the product. I'm charged for shipping the Theragun back for a box and packing ($9.99). I know this is not a lot of money, but its the principal, and also things cost more now than ever before, so $9.99 adds up. I ask for a refund for the $9.99 - Therabody's Support responds, "No reimbursement." I now come to see they are shipping me a "replacement" unit after they received my broken one BUT it is NOT a new unit - NOPE, instead Therabody sends me a refurbished unit - again, not a New unit. I spent ~$429 on this device. It breaks within 9 months of light/medium use and they ship me back a refurbished Theragun. I strongly advise not doing business with this outfit. The shame is that I was very excited to use this, it does help with back, knee, and other pain areas but if it breaks so quickly and the replacement policy is cheap, why bother owning this? Disappointing all around - the product, the replacement policy, and the displacement of costs to the consumer.

Great percussion massage gun. The 5 levels is more than sufficient. Wish it came with more tips. The one thing that I wish was more visible was the battery level. As well as note if you are sensitive to vibrations with your hand it really does vibrate when holding.

I received a unit that wouldn't recharge. I contacted the company, and they told me to try (buy) a new cord. They didn't offer to send me a replacement. At a $357 price tag, I should not have to replace the charging cord due to a defect. I want a charging cord solely for my Theragun. The company called today. They will send me a replacement cord. I got the replacement cord today

This far exceeded our expectations! Battery life is great, the handle is ergonomically comfortable, and you can tell that the materials used were made to last. Well worth the price in our eyes!

Great massage gun, very powerful, great service

Reviews of the G4 mentioned that it was too noisy - i.e. couldn't watch TV while using it. This G5 is quiet enough to allow me to watch TV while using it. It is easy to use, and easy to sync with the app - which is useful when working on particular issues.
