Works perfectly with my old PlayStation 2. It's USB powered and I can power it either from the TV USB port or even the PS2 USB port once it's turn on. The component cables are better quality than just the old yellow RCA connector so this is able to output true HD to modern TVs. Haven't noticed any input lag

This Component to HDMI converter is not working with my DVDs on my DVD player! The converter is not handling all the resolutions. Many of my DVDs do not play. Some DVDs display a functioning menu but playing the movie or selecting a scene to view results in a blank screen, then “NO SIGNAL.” The “signal” indicator light comes on with the power indicator even when nothing is plugged into the inputs. All these DVDs played on my DVD player & old converter that was very similar to this one. It worked for years before the power supply blew out, taking the converter with it. My DVDs all play through TV component inputs & on a Blu-ray player w/HDMI output.

Works better than expected and very satisfactory. Tried another brand first and it was horrible. Saved me from buying a new DVD player with hdmi.

I bought and refunded multiple products until I ran into this one, cheap, quick and easy. Using it to connect a ps2 to a monitor and it looks great.

Bought this to play my GameCube on an HDTV and I think it’s a pretty good economic choice. Of course the best way would be to play on a CRT TV but that might not be an option for some. The picture was clear with no noticeable input lag.

My intention was to put this between my new Sony BRAVIA XR TV which only has HDMI inputs and my old Pioneer AVR (VSX-56TXi) that does NOT have HDMI output. I am only using the component connections, the white and red connectors for stereo are not used. Connected to my Pioneer AVR are a Denon DVD-2900 DVD player, a Sony PS2 and a Nintendo Wii. Here is what happened: 1. Wii -> Pioneer AVR -> Portta -> TV: Works like a charm. Image quality is as good as I've ever seen. A little bit of diagonal lines but goes a way momentarily. 2. Sony PS2 -> Pioneer AVR -> Portta -> TV: Games works just fine. But DVD playback doesn't work. The TV just says no signal as soon as I play the DVD. I've tried connecting directly PS2 -> Portta -> TV and still experience the same problem. 3. Denon DVD player -> Pioneer AVR -> Portta -> TV: Only the DVD player's setup menu shows on TV. When I start to play a DVD, the TV just says no signal. 4. Pioneer AVR -> Portta -> TV: I am not able to bring up the AVR's setup menu on my TV at all. So all in all, I can only use it to play games which is still good. But the fact that I can't use it to watch my old DVDs and not able to configure my Pioneer AVR is a big disappointment.

Worked fine with my old DVD player.

Esse conversor PORTTA tem um tamanho bem pequeno,e isso é bom,é bem compacto,e também funcionou perfeitamente com o aparelho que testei.

Handige omvormer naar hdmi voor apparaten die al een zekere ouderdom hebben zoals mijn dvd/vcr combo. Werkt goed. Verwacht wel geen hdmi kwaliteit gezien het signaal niet hd is natuurlijk. Maar handig om aan te sluiten op nieuwe tv's en toch je oude apparaat te kunnen blijven gebruiken mits het een YPbPr aansluiting heeft.

Ottimo component in termini di costruzione e qualità dei materiali, io lho acquistato per rendere migliore la risoluzione della mia ps2 slim su tv 50 pollici Samsung 4k , con alcuni settaggi sia sulla tv che sulla console e su open loader sono riuscito a scalare quanto basta l'immagine e a renderla più nitida e simile all'immagine che si aveva su televisori a tubo catodico, per il suo prezzo rispetto ad altri prodotti della stessa fascia dico assolutamente che è perfetto, certo non con tutti i giochi, ha le sue pecche anche nonostante settaggi ottimali, ma appunto se cercate quasi la perfezione dovete puntare su prodotti ovviamente di fascia più alta, consiglio per chi vuole spendere poco ed avere una rasa migliore e discreta della risoluzione sopratutto su retro game in telivisori di nuova gen.

Works great with my PS2, gives me a clear image with good colours, much better then the PS2toHDMI adapter I used before. I tested it with the resolutions, PAL, 576p, 720p and 1080i, worked without any problems.
