Scheming mother-in-law Beatrice Stanhope is not about to let her daughter and grandson hang around with the klutzy King of the Jungle forever. In an elaborate plot, she teams with Ursula s obsessive ex-fiance, Lyle, to hypnotise Ursula into leaving George and turn his jungle to mulch! That s when all vines lead to Las Vegas. There, George, Ape, Shep and Tookie must rescue Ursula and then swing back to save the jungle from Lyle s bulldozing bullies. Sequel to the 1997 comedy about the valiant apeman whose vine swinging skills aren't quite up to scratch. George (Chris Showerman) and Ursula (Julie Benz) have now had a son, and the family lead a happy life together in the jungle. But George's buddy Ape has built up a huge Las Vegas gambling debt, and George and Ursula realise they must return to the USA to help him out. However, soon after arriving on American soil, Ursula runs into her former fiance Lyle Van de Groot (Thomas Haden Church) and the old trouble starts up all over again. Achtung, Achtung! Gemeinsam mit seiner geliebten Ursula und Sohn George Junior hat es sich der Affenfreund inmitten des Urwalds so richtig gemütlich gemacht. Doch die Idylle währt nicht lange. Plötzlich muss George nach Las Vegas zu seinem Affenbruder Ape reisen, der dort mit Spielschulden in der Klemme sitzt. Zugleich setzen Ursulas Mutter und ihre Komplize und Möchtegern-Schwiegersohn alle Tricks ein, um Ursula aus dem Dschungel zurückzuholen. Eigentlich alles kein Problem für George! Wäre da nicht noch der wütende Löwe, der währenddessen den Urwald auf den Kopf stellt... Doch auf George ist Verlass: Er trommelt alle Tiere des Urwalds zusammen, schwingt sich auf die nächste Liane und...prallt natürlich erst mal gegen einen Baum! Review: Nice watch - Really enjoyable film to watch with the family. Funny and cheesy as expected, not AS good as the first one but is not a let down either. Review: Kenny Rogers is class - Somehow this sequel without the stars of the original is even better than the original. The insane meta humour tears off the roof and fourth wall of wherever you may watch it.
