Glass Cake Dome, Cake Cover Lid for Freshness & Display 11"

I bought this as a shorter dome to use with a glass cake stand I purchased. The stand came with a very tall dome for tall cakes (well, sort of, I'll explain in a moment), and I thought it would be nice to have a normal sized dome for shorter cakes, and other baked goods. This is very attractive. Size is spot on. It was packed really well inside the item's box, and it arrived intact, unlike the Household Essentials KROSNO Handmade June Covered Cake Stand. Both the original order, and the replacement, arrived smashed to smithereens due to lousy product packing and poor packaging by Amazon. Both the Krosno and this one arrived today. It was nice to have this item not be smashed on arrival. I feel like the price is pretty good, and the quality is good, given that it was packed with care, etc. It will server me, and my baked goods, nicely.

It is beautiful. It is so much lighter than most of my traditional glass dome covers that I can't believe it is really glass. It has a great shape so it goes over all your baked goods without running into the sides. You can see through it perfectly so it highlights your wonderful baked goods. We have a seasonal summer cafe and it held up beautifully through daily use and cleaning. I will definitely be buying more of these. I LOVE IT!

I am so stinkin’ picky. So when I say that I like this 11” cake dome believe me! I have 2 different size cake plates both with broken domes. I found this dome and was skeptical but it arrived today and I tried it out on both cake plates. The smaller speckled one has grooves and it fit perfectly. I then stacked two cake pans on on top of one another on the larger cake plate and then put the dome on top and it fit perfectly and didn’t look “off”. I am very very pleased with this purchase.

Package arrived surprisingly "rattling" but in fact was not broken it was packed so well in pre-formed styrofoam. The dish is functional and adequate, but replaces a dome I broke which was thinner, more delicate and elegant looking. I am happy to have this current glass dome, especially at the price. It is similar to glass domes I've seen in many restaurants/cafés/bakeries, etc. It does the job.

The glass is of very good thickness, making it feel substantial and not fragile. I bought it to cover larger baked items without banging into their sides and damaging them. Am happy with the size and straight sides of this piece. I don’t store the dome but instead keep it on the counter on a decorative platter so it brightens the kitchen even when there’s no baked goods inside. The dome seals well for freshness. Very functional, sturdy, pretty item.

I have been looking long and hard for a tall glass cake dome, without the cake plate, at a reasonable price. This one checks all the boxes. I am a woodworker and a baker. As gifts, I like to make wooden cake plates, complete with glass dome, and include the cake. The plate pictured here is made of cherry and finished with tung oil that I made for a charity auction. I baked a multi-layer coconut cake to be auctioned with it. Ordinary domes are too low for a multi-layer cake and, though plastic ones are readily available in taller sizes, they just look cheap. This one is made of glass and, even though its tall, it is not too heavy and the grip is nicely shaped so you can get a firm grip on it.

The description page shows a photo of the dome being 11 inches and I relied on that to order. In the description portion of the product there are specs saying it is 11.5 and 11.75 inches. Truth is, it comes as a full 12 inches of exterior diameter. The glass is fairly thick so the inside diameter is a little less than 11.5. The glass is good quality and I would have really loved it, were it not too large for my needs.

It fit perfectly onto my 12" cake stand. Glass is sturdy and I love the shape!

After a bit of looking at the options available, I decided on this cake dome and am very pleased with my choice. It arrived promptly, well packaged & in perfect condition. It's large enough, height & width-wise, for my cakes - strong, heavy glass & has a easy grip top knob.

It’s nice and exactly what we needed but arrived absolutely filthy, there’s something spilled on it and it has actual ash inside, like it was used to put out a fire or something lol. Just thought you should know.

Glass is thick and clear and the handle is easy to pull the lid. I am very satisfied.

Very beautiful and sturdy yet not too heavy. Exactly what I’ve been looking for…it’s perfect!
