A really nice gin. So nice it is I think more ‘like’ a gin than it is actual gin. I associate gin with frankly unpleasant tastes. Never liked it much. This is different. It is something that in a summery cocktail really adds something good. Imagine watermelon juice, or a slightly sparkly grapefruit with a slice of orange. Then add some of this elixir. The drinks improve in some way. What exactly that is I cannot say. Some depth perhaps, a nice lingering of flavour on the palate. The slight warmth? Don’t know but it is a really nice treat in those summer drinks. For me it is the second best gin you can buy. And everybody knows what is the best gin: 47 Monkeys is just on another plane; it is so far above everything else it is not really fair to compare them. But, if you cannot afford the best - and who can? - this is the clear next best thing and honestly, for a few drinks, I would even select this first. It’s that good. But it, drink it, you will be glad you did.
