Flimsy hardware - knob broke from lid under normal use
Update- I did an exchange for a new teapot. That process was too easy and fast. UPS'd the one with the defective knob yesterday and received the new one today. Seems like the lid on this one is far less tight, so I'm feeling good about the knob staying on. I bumped it up to 5 stars. I just really like the infuser, the teapot shape, and size (not too big). Glad it worked out that I ended up with it. -------- I originally bought this tea pot for a gift. If the Amazon delivery person didn't toss the box onto my driveway and crush the outer and inner product box, my friend would have been writing this review, not me. Anyhow, since the teapot inside the product box was really well insulated with foam it survived the ordeal. So, I decided to keep it and give a gift card to my friend. Now, after only 3 days of use the knob on the lid came apart. What a disappointment. The knob is fastened to the lid with what looks like a regular 3/4" steel wood screw. Inside the knob's base is some sort of plastic and that broke apart dislodging small pieces of plastic that contaminated a good Japanese Sencha brew. Apart from this unfortunate product failure I really like the teapot. The borosilicate glass body holds up well - I used it with Medium heat on our electric stove top and in our microwave oven. I like the look, which is why I purchased it for a gift. The infuser is stamped with 304 which is more like 18% chromium and 8% nickel, that is 18/8, versus the 18/10 mentioned in the Amazon description. No big deal to me. The infuser works well keeping the leaves and grit away from the beverage and it is also easy to clean. Now I have to decide what to do with the teapot, as I can't use it without a knob to remove the lid.

THIS IS THE ONE
I went through a bunch of kettles before I landed on this one. This is the one! The top is metal, it doesn't fall off when pouring, the bottom is flat and perfect width, the handle is correctly designed and easy to use, and pour spout works correctly. You don't need anything else. Price is good! Buy it! NOTE: They should make the throat a little stronger... If you boil only a bit of water, then try to pour it, it will crack the throat (happened to me)... so be careful... pour slowly... in that case.

Very attractive. Sturdy glass quality. Super handle shape to avoid slipping when full.
I wanted to try a glass teapot that could be used on a stove but not to heat water in. I use an electric tea kettle that has individual temps for white, oolong, herbal, black, etc. teas & I'd be lost without it to set the right temp BUT I have a new glass top stove with a center burner that is devoted to keeping things warm. That's where this teapot is worth every penny spent!! I make my choice of the day tea (I only buy loose tea so am particular about the quality, source, etc.) using the electric kettle but after that, the teapot goes right on that warming burner on its lowest temp and my tea remains PERFECT until its gone. I'm so thrilled to have it stay gently warm. The flat bottom is just perfect and I wish I'd had this years ago. Except for my clay pots, I don't have to cover anything with a tea towel to keep it warm. The size is good for a day's tea for me. With arthritis in my hands, I can't tell you how well the square top handle shape works for me. No more slipping. The only suggestion I'd make to the manufacturer is to change the top knob on the lid from aluminum to wood or something that doesn't get so hot. Once you brew a full pot, that lid gets really hot & you need to use a small cloth to open it if you're using the basket or just holding it in place as you pour. The top part of the lid also expands with heat and you have to tug to get it out. Once it cools, it comes right out. The glass part & the strainer work beautifully but some rethinking of the very top knob would be nice. Overall, that hot knob isn't a deal breaker as far as I'm concerned though because this pot has so many super features & a dynamite shape. Perfect gift item.

Worked well and good before it broke - but it's a glass tea pot. I really liked it.
Hot handle. The glass did have black burn from the fire stove. But that's just cosmetic. It worked great for 4 years until it broke. We drink tea in seasons... when the herbs are out and strong! The strainer was great. It was easy to clean. The size seemed sufficient for a large family. I'm debating buying it again. It looks like many people spoke of how theirs broke as well. That just might be the cost of a glass teapot. (But I like that you can see it's not rusting and nothing's growing in it!). So is it a production issue or is it just simply that it's glass? I think it's just glass.

I Love everything about this Teapot!! ๐ฅฐ
I love everything about my new teapot! It's pretty, it pours perfectly without dripping, it's 1 full liter or 34 oz, the lid stays on when pouring, the handle stays totally cool even at a full rolling boil on my glass top electric stove. On a gas stove just keep the flame low to medium, and don't let it go up the outside of the pot, especially by the handle. The handle on the LID gets hot by then, but that doesn't bother me - no need to touch it before pouring anyway, and using a small hot pad is no big deal. If you watch my video, no, I do not normally boil my tea while brewing it, but I thought the video would show up better that way. The video shows how the handle stays cool, but I can't quite lift the lid because the knob is hot. This pot will boil one full liter without boiling over or coming out of the spout at all. As for dripless pouring, you can MAKE it drip if you try to barely dribble it out of the spout, but you wouldn't do that. Just pour it slowly or normally and not one drop will dribble. The tea filter-strainer works perfectly - it goes in and lifts out easily. The lid fits and stays in with or without the filter in place. I didn't get any residue in the bottom of the pot I brewed. If you use your pot on the stove, I would have a silicone hotpad or something nearby to set the pot on, so you don't cause thermal shock and risk breakage by setting hot glass on a cool surface. The instruction leaflet is well done and clear - do take a minute to read it before use, to protect your pretty pot and keep yourself safe. It came well package and looks very nice - I would be happy and proud to give this as a gift!

Elegant & Practical โ A Must-Have for Tea Lovers
I recently purchased the HIWARE 1000 ml Glass Teapot with the removable stainless steel infuser, and it has become a staple in my daily routine. Hereโs why I absolutely love it: ๐ซ Design & Build Quality The large 1โliter capacity is perfect for sharing tea with family or hosting a small gathering. The borosilicate glass is beautifully clear, so you can enjoy the entire steeping processโwatching blooming teas unfold is both relaxing and visually delightful. The glass feels sturdy and heat-safe, and the metal handle stays cool, making it easy to pour comfortably even when the contents are hot. ๐งพ Infuser & Brewing Experience The fine-mesh stainless steel infuser fits snugly inside, making it easy to brew both loose leaf and blooming teas without worrying about leaves escaping. Itโs simple to remove when the tea reaches your desired strength, giving you full control over the flavor. Cleanup is quickโjust rinse and itโs ready for the next batch. ๐ฅ Stovetop Safety & Practical Features One of the biggest surprises was how stovetop-safe the teapot isโyes, you can brew directly over low heat (glass-friendly stovetops only). It also has a snug lid and a well-designed spout that pours cleanly without drips or spills. This teapot strikes a beautiful balance between elegance and everyday functionality. I use this teapot almost dailyโwhether itโs a single mug for me or a full pot for guests. It makes brewing loose leaf, blooming, or herbal teas both therapeutic and pretty. Elegance and Artistry in a Teapot: A Joyful Brewing Experience with the HIWARE Glass Teapot
My journey with the HIWARE 1000ml Glass Teapot has been nothing short of delightful. A tea aficionado at heart, I was intrigued by this tea kettle's potential to enhance my tea brewing experience. I embarked on this venture with hopeful curiosity, and I must say, it has been a rewarding affair. This teapot is more than just a vessel to make tea; it's a confluence of aesthetics, functionality, and the art of brewing. Though the teapot brings a lot to the table, there are a few areas where I believe it could be improved. I present to you my thorough review, highlighting the stellar features of this teapot and offering some suggestions for enhancement. ๐ฑ๐ต Elegant Glass Design: Elevating the Art of Brewing: What immediately caught my eye is the exquisite glass design of the HIWARE teapot. The transparent glass not only allows you to observe the steeping process but also transforms it into a visual spectacle. It truly is a sight to behold, watching the tea leaves unfurl and bloom, releasing their color and aroma. The teapot's graceful design adds an element of sophistication to any setting. ๐ฟ๐ Removable Infuser: Unleashing the Full Potential of Tea Leaves: The removable infuser is a masterstroke of convenience and utility. It makes it easier than ever to brew loose-leaf tea, blooming tea, or tea bags. The large infuser ensures that the tea leaves have enough space to expand, thereby allowing them to release their full flavor and aroma. This feature allows me to experiment with various tea blends and enjoy the diversity of flavors. ๐ฅโ๏ธ Stovetop Safe: Brewing with Ease and Confidence: I appreciate the versatility that this teapot offers. It is stovetop safe, which means I can directly heat water in it, eliminating the need for a separate kettle. It is perfect for both gas and electric stovetops. This feature adds convenience to my daily tea rituals. ๐ง๐ Generous Capacity: Serving More than Just a Cup: The 1000ml capacity is ideal for serving multiple cups of tea, making it a perfect companion for gatherings, tea parties, or simply indulging in multiple cups of tea. It lets me share my favorite blends with friends and family, adding warmth and comfort to our conversations. While the teapot excels in many areas, there is room for improvement: ๐๐๏ธ Fragile Glass: Handle with Care: The delicate glass design, while aesthetically pleasing, is somewhat fragile. Extra care is needed when handling and cleaning the teapot to avoid breakage or damage. A more robust glass or a protective frame could be a welcome addition. ๐ก๏ธ๐ญ Heat Retention: Keeping the Warmth Alive: Although the teapot holds heat reasonably well, it cools down faster than I would like. A thermal insulating cover could be a great addition to maintain the ideal temperature for a longer time. In summary, the HIWARE 1000ml Glass Teapot earns a deserving 4-star rating ๐๐๐๐. The minor shortcomings do not detract from its overall charm and functionality. It brings elegance, convenience, and versatility to the art of brewing, offering a holistic tea experience. For fellow tea enthusiasts and connoisseurs, I recommend giving this teapot a try. Explore the world of tea with the HIWARE Glass Teapot, savoring each cup's aroma, flavor, and the tranquility that it brings. As we journey through the myriad flavors of tea, let's celebrate the beauty of brewing and the joy of sharing. Happy sipping! ๐ต๐ฟ๐บ
