Hi E. Stanley,Our product is pure, Vermont maple syrup. Power Cakes are a protein-enhanced pancake mix. It seems to me that the best answer is to get both and to put this syrup on the pancakes! I haven't heard of anyone adding protein powder to pure maple syrup, but if you do so, let us know how it goes. Both sites have the info. If you look at pictures of back of the bottle just zoom in. I can tell you it's the best maple syrup I've ever bought and I'm super picky.
