Review: I’ve just upgraded my PC with the ASUS ROG Strix B650-A, and it’s been an amazing experience so far. This is my first time building with a Ryzen 5 processor, and this motherboard has made everything incredibly smooth. First Impressions: When I unboxed it, I was immediately impressed by the sleek design. The silver accents and the RGB lighting really make it stand out—it looks amazing in my case! It feels solid and well-made, which gave me confidence right from the start. Setup Experience: As someone who doesn’t have massive storage needs, the three M.2 slots are more than enough for me. Installing the components was straightforward, and the BIOS is super easy to navigate, even for someone who’s not a hardcore PC builder. It didn’t take long before my system was up and running. Performance: Paired with my Ryzen 5 processor, this board handles everything I throw at it without breaking a sweat. From gaming to casual multitasking, it’s fast, responsive, and reliable. I’m not a storage-heavy user, but I love the speed of my NVMe drive on this board—it’s made a noticeable difference in load times for games. Connectivity: The WiFi 6E is a fantastic addition. My online gaming sessions have been smooth with no lag, and the dual USB-C ports make connecting devices effortless. The PCIe 5.0 slot is a nice bonus for future upgrades as well. Final Thoughts: This motherboard is perfect for someone like me who’s building a solid mid-range gaming PC without going overboard. This came with a BIOS already installed that can support the Ryzen 9 series CPUs. Nevertheless I gave it a BIOS update before installing the OS and it now works very nicely with my Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 32GB of 6000mhz DDR5. I would suggest updating the BIOS before installing the OS. It’s very straight forward to do. Steps are on the ASUS website. You’ll just need a memory stick. The board supports Windows 10. The WiFi works perfectly and has Bluetooth as well so I can connect my controllers. Everything works fine. It’s a very good budget-conscious board. No issues. Nice look.

Built my first ever pc. It's ideal for beginners not just pros. Ease of use and good instructions on hand if you get lost. I also had warranty for 12 mo this free of charge with the product and still in use today. I like the idea it's ddr5 and compatible with the newer upgrades so I can upgrade over time with other parts. It has smart LEDs. Only downfall I found is it lacks usb import but that can fixed by adding one. Other than that does as it should. Highly recommend

its a great motherboard its got all the feature i need the overclocking is substantial enough for most people (amd's built in OC stuff), the connectivity is great for the average person and gamer, looks are good they could be better however i understand this is the budget version so they will cut corners somewhere, now my reason for only 4 stars is firstly the asus bloatware armoury crate is useful however everything else that tried installing i hadnt found a use for so i removed them, and the second reason for my 4 stars is i believe might just be a me issue but it doesnt matter what i do if i plug a mic into either the front jack or the rear jack its extremely quiet like even yelling its barely picked up but if i use a usb adapter for my mic its perfectly fine.

To begin, the Motherboard is aesthetically pleasing, and is very easy to build in, big props to whoever thought of the design choice. The overall design of the board is great and had a pleasure building with it. M.2 Shield new builders do not have to worry about installing a M.2 Standoff wrong in the main slot, you can simply plug the M.2 in, put it into the already installed standoff, and flick the lever to close it in, and of course put back on the very cool looking M.2 Shield. PCIE The graphics card button release is also a very nice feature since I only had to open it and plug in the graphics card. I in the future if I upgraded the graphics card, I wouldn't have to worry about trying to jam my fingers in trying to open the slot, you can simply use the provided button. Again, Major props to the designer for adding these. IO Shield + WIFI Furthermore the IO shield is preinstalled so no worries about installing the motherboard without it. Not to mention the built in WIFI only adds to the appeal of the board, the provided antenna is very nicely magnetised, so when you attach the cable and wonder where you could put the antenna with no space, turns out you can actually attach the antenna to any metal surface IE, your PC Case, which is what I have done. Cons (if you can call it that lol) Only *small* downside would be the covers for the AIO_PUMP and CPU_FAN were extremely hard to remove, and it took me to use tweezers in the end to take one off. Summary Overall, I think everybody can tell that this board has one con to many pros and is amazing value for only the £199.99 that I paid. +points for the consistent white/grey aesthetic throughout Asus's white range of parts which complimented my graphics card nicely.

First time builder here, easy to use, great built quality, good connectivity ,latest Bios updated , it has more than enough storage slots. Also got a keychain and cool stickers😀

Looking for a good motherboard for your mid range setup? Not ready to fork over the money for that X870E? Need lots of USB ports? Here, my friend, is your motherboard. Now, is it a tad expensive? A little. But it's worth it. It's quality is absolutely amazing, and you can feel just how well made this thing before you take it out of the static bag. The pins are all labeled and easy to identify. And for all you storage lovers out there -- 4 SATA/HDD ports and three SSD ports, with one handling your Samsung Gen 5! There's also a ridiculous amount of RGB headers. I forgot how many there were exactly, but I think there's like four or five. Don't quote me on that one. Anyway, plentiful for your case fan needs. Also, integrated IO shield. No tearing apart your shiny new build to pop it in after you forgot! Of course, there's gonna be cons: Yes, the other reviews aren't lying. Booting up takes a hot second, around 20 seconds, give or take. For me personally, it also started throwing codes when I installed my AIO, but that was fixed with some BIOS settings that took a bit to find. Personally, I think it should change that automatically when detecting an AIO, but who am I to tell ROG what to shove into their motherboards? Now, what about overclocking? I don't know. Being honest, I'm no overclocker and baby my computers. That's for you to take the journey to discover! Overall? It's a solid motherboard. Are there better ones out there? Of course there are! But if you're looking to build a mid-range computer, this one right here is a good pick. Happy building!

Snagging the ASUS ROG Strix B650-A for just $189 CAD was an absolute steal, completely throwing the usual "ROG tax" argument out the window. For that price, it easily beats out basic entry-level boards while offering premium features. The power delivery is rock-solid, handling heavy workloads and long competitive gaming sessions without breaking a sweat. Memory stability is fantastic too, handling high-speed DDR5 tuning smoothly with zero boot issues. It handles my 8200mt/s Viper Xtreme kit perfectly at 8000mt/s. I am limited by my CPUs IMC so the board can probably push further. Plus, the clean white/silver aesthetic looks great in my b/w build, and the rear I/O has more than enough high-speed ports to handle all my high-polling peripherals and gear. At this price, it was an undeniable no-brainer. Love the ROG Keychain and stickers as well!

This is my first time doing a pc build, I wanted a motherboard that can handle gaming and casual productivity that i dont have to do an overclock for the CPU, thought the rear ports are not that good but i was fine with it since i have a hub with better ports.. this B650-A motherboard had everything and a good choice for those who wants a budget motherboard and to do a white pc build with minimal or no overclocking... I paired this motherboard with Ryzen 7800X3D, DDR5 ram from Klevv Cras V RGB 32GB 6000mhz CL30 which support both XMP & EXPO profiles, samsung 990 pro 2TB NVMe M.2 PCIe gen 4, Thermalright Peerless Assissan none RGB air cooler white ver. and its contact frame for AMD5, GPU from Gigabyte RTX 4080 super white ver, 6 fans as intake from Lian Li Uni-fan SL infinity reverse blade and 4 SL infinity regular fans as exhuste all in white, PSU from corsair RM850 white ver. Lian Li Strimer pluse v2 - 24 pin & 12×4 to 3+8 pin, The PC Case from Lian Li O11 Evo RGB. I updated the motherboard Bios to the latest ver. from thier website. I went to the youtube to see tutorials on how to tweak the bios and it helped a lot, i installed windows 11 pro and had the problem of internet connection, and thanks again to youtube i managed to slove the problem, after that i downlaoded the needed drivers from asus website and now everything is good with my pc and i am happy with it
